Designed by myself and done in my own blood, the planchette is a damaged human scapula sourced from the osteological supply company I run. Trying to post more frequently in here!
I took several shots of this bird over the course of a few days to document the stages of decay but this is one of my favorite shots because of the incidental yellow mustang in the background.
I found it around ranch today when it was still alive and looked out for it until the cats left it alone. I went to check on my horse for a few minutes and when I came back a guy from here stepped on it and killed it. It wasn’t bothering anybody. I brought it back out to the field. Rest easy, little guy.
I felt peace stumbling upon this friend. May their journey be fruitful and enveloped in love ♡
A few minutes ago, a guided airbomb fell here. I hope nobody was killed.
Another blood painting I completed this week of Elizabeth Báthory, the “Blood Countess” of Hungary during the 16th and 17th century. Elizabeth was known for harvesting the blood of her servants to bathe in hopes of attaining immortal beauty. Though it is largely speculated she was the victim of nothing more than rumors in hopes to dethrone her position of power. 16x20” painting, all done in my own blood which was collected via venipuncture.
