I’m considering buying a Mazda6 MK2 with the 2.0i petrol engine, and I wanted to hear from anyone who owns or has owned this model. The car I’m looking at is well-maintained and seems to be in great shape, but I'd love to know if there are any common issues or quirks with this model that I should keep an eye out for.

Is there anything specific with this engine or generation that I should double-check before going through with the purchase? Any tips on potential problem areas or maintenance advice would be really appreciated!

I was wondering if it would be possible to to ITBS (individual throttle body’s) on my car the only thing is since there is not a lot made for the car I was wondering if it would even be possible Ik I would have to do it custom but I feel like it would be and sound cool I personally don’t know too much about itbs so I was wondering if it could work where the would mount like if it should replace the intake manifold or how that would work

2018 Grand Touring. Only issues I've had is the hydraulic tensioner leak and a coolant leak from that reservoir the radiator cap is screwed onto. Still a blast to drive!

Does this CS7900-AS 2 way kit have secure takeover when used with a 16' M6 Touring? I don't want to install a remote start if it turns the car off once I open the door.

I couldn't find a definitive answer anywhere, and Compustar's customer support isn't responding to my contact question forms or picking up the phone.

2018 Touring here, about to hit 125k miles. I've been diligent with oil and filter changes, and had all necessary recalls fixed. Two brake jobs, the last with new rotors and ceramic "lifetime" pads (we'll see...). She still runs like a top as far as I can tell, and the transmission is still shifting smoothly. Despite how well everything is going (and despite my brother's 2016 going to 250k miles on nothing but the same things)...

...I should at least do a tune-up, yeah? I don't know how all these modern ECUs and the Skyactiv systems and stuff work, but even if that's all doing it's job, at the very LEAST, new spark plugs?

What else should I have done by now, besides pretend that I actually read the owner's manual when I drove it off the lot with only 26 miles on the odo?

Replacing head gasket does anyone know where to get info on the torque specs and pattern ???

My mazda 6 2015, sun roof just tilts and gets stuck, the button doesnot respond and had to do the reset procedure to close it. Do i have to replace anything with to make it working. Please help me on what can be done. Thanks.

Just got my first ever Mazda, and I'm loving it! Shes got high ks (almost 300,000km) but I bought her from a friend and I am totally in love with the drive. 2005, 2.3L, tiptronic, and racer red. Shes a beaut! Any tips/tricks I should know?

I purchased a Mazda 6 2.2L diesel from a private dealer last month. Within a week, the master warning light appeared, and the OBD diagnostic revealed a P258B error code. Is there anything we can do to address this, rather than spending £3,000-£4,000 on a vacuum pump replacement due to the exorbitant costs from the car garage and the greedy insurance company?

I'm looking at a Mazda 6 estate. I'm due to test drive a manual 2L tomorrow.

The 2.5 seems to be much rarer, with only a handful available in the UK at any one time.

Has anyone driven both and can comment on whether the gains in power are worth the extra capacity/reduction in efficiency? Also, thoughts on the autogearbox? I hear it's a bit... Slow?

This is just to be a daily child hauler and nothing more.

Hey sub, So i own a 2015 Mazda 6 here in Dubai. All the bulbs on the headlights are functional but they are not bright, am mean i tried replacing all the bulbs on the headlights and still they are not bright, when you look from outside the headlights looks to be turned on and looks to be working, but at night you can really see that they are not at all bright and while driving at night it seems as if you did not turn on the headlights, driving on roads where there are no street lights i cant even see the road. I did not go to any car electric shops till now, and wanted to know what could be the reason and if any one of you have faced the similar issue?

I actually prefer the non-GTA gauge cluster but since I bought the GTA version I am stuck with this gauge cluster. Is there a way to turn off the blue backlight or make it other color ? Blue+red combination really makes it look cheap and tacky to me.

It's listed at 3,500$ (Canadian) on fb marketplace. I don't know how expensive these cars really are. It feels like it could be a steal but I wouldn't know. I was obsessed with the rx8 but I can't find any great deals on marketplace and read a bunch of horror stories online about first time car owners not being able to maintain it. Plus the rx8 sucks on gas mileage. I randomly saw this car in my feed and it caught my eye. What was your experience buying this car second hand like? Any boxes I should check before considering?

Also is it good in the winter?

Hello, As it's been getting cooler, I've noticed the coolant temp seems to be fluctuating more than usual. As you can see from the chart, during my 20 minute highway commute this morning it was only ever over or around 190 F a handful of times, and that was when going uphill. When coasting, especially downhill it dropped as low as 167.

Temps were in the 60s and no HVAC was on.

A year or 2 ago I had the thermostat/water control valve replaced as it was stuck open and in the winter the coolant temp would drop as much as 50 F when coasting. I'm hoping it's not the valve again.

I have heard to disconnect battery and to turn car on but not start motor... press break for 30 seconds? Is any of this information true? My 6 doesn't shift the smoothest and I would like to reset it if possible after just purchasing.

I drive a 2009, ordered the NTK 22129 downstream O2 sensor off rock auto. It came with a black wire insulation covering. Is that normal? All the pics I’ve seen of it online are green and the one in my car is green. I know it doesn’t actually matter functionally, I’m just wondering if they recently changed the color or something or if I got shipped the wrong part.
