To preface, I’m pretty ignorant for the most part when it comes to the technical aspects of cars. When I first got my 2020 awd mazda3, the steering/handling was the thing I loved most about it. It was very tight and responsive and it felt like I was very much in control and could turn sharply and quickly. It made it extremely enjoyable to drive. Recently, the steering wheel now feels much looser and it feels like I have to turn the wheel much more than before in order to make even slight turns. I’m not sure how to explain it other than it now just feels much less responsive and less “sporty”.

I haven’t been able to find anything online that seems to match the issue. I recently got new tires and alignment, which I thought could maybe be a factor. I’ve seen that it could maybe be ball joints/tie rods? I only just passed 30k miles. I don’t know, it’s just much less enjoyable to drive now and less engaging with such loose steering. Does anyone have any thoughts at all or any suggestions as to what might be causing this? Or had any similar experiences? Would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone had this before? When selecting reverse you here 4 clicks coming from the camera. Not sure if it's a relay or something but doesn't do it on my other mazda6.

I just bought my 2022 mazda 3 hatch with the N/A 2.5. It's been down to about 10°f here and on cold starts there is a loud clicking/ticking under the hood until it warms up, is this normal for these motors on cold start? Thanks

I love the deep crystal blue mica, but wondering what colors other than silver chrome would look good here. I don’t mind the logo, but I’m debating if I should make the random chrome front piece black chrome or the same color as the car. Thoughts?

I just bought a Sony xav-ax3200 for my 2010 Mazda 3 sp25 as I wanted sound play. After installing using aerpro vehicle harness and head unit harness (no steering wheel controls) it is fully powered and visually turns on, and works perfectly fine except there is no audio at all. I have no idea what is wrong as I’m not a massive car guy, and I just bought what the super cheap employees told me to buy. I’m 99% sure it’s installed correctly as it’s only a matter of plugging in a few plugs. Yet there is no audio at all. Car has a Bose sound system if that’s important. Please help if anyone knows a potential fix, happy to include pictures if yous need, thank you.

The AUX radio button on my BL SP25 has stopped responding and activating bluetooth music mode.

B/tooth and phone still connects, and calls via b/tooth are still active and work without issue.

The AUX button press still feels appropriate, just like the other buttons, with a bit of resistance and as though the button is still pressing a switch mechanism underneath.

Any tips?

This will be posted in multiple forums, I understand this may not be the best forum for this kind of question lol I apologize just trying to get answers anywhere I can. I have a subwoofer system hooked up in my 2023 Mazda 3 Carbon Edition (n/a) in the trunk. The car was completely off, sitting in my driveway (last driven about 5-6 hours ago). I had just renewed my plates, and my dad went to change my license plates for me while I was taking a nap. When he went to take the first screw out of my rear plate bracket, the system in my trunk randomly kicked on WHILE THE CAR WAS OFF, and continuously ran for about 45 seconds until my dad ran inside and woke me up. He hesitated at first because he just assumed I remote started my car via the app and my phone connected to bluetooth from the house and kicked the system on, but then he remembered I was asleep so that wasn't a possibility. This has him and I completely mind blown left with no explanations lol. When I ran outside with my keys, the car was off but the system was just stuck on, on a constant low hertz rumble like a constant bass line to a song. Once I opened my door, the system immediately kicked off. It's like my ignition randomly got turned on to auxiliary mode, but how? I did just have to replace the stock battery 3 weeks ago due to the system draining it, I wonder if it was just a coincidence and this has nothing to do with the license plate cover? Common sense says the license plate has nothing to do with this but hell I don't know anymore 😂 I wonder if the system was wired improperly and isn't fully shutting off and just coincidentally kicked on while my dad was changing the license plate bracket? I'm so confused lol never had this issue before on this car or any for that matter and I've had 3 cars with subwoofer systems this is a new one for me lol

Do I need 3rd party mats like Weathertech or Tuxmats, or are the OEM rubber ones that came with my car ok? They seem easy to take it and like they’d be easy to clean but maybe there’s an advantage to the 3rd party ones I’m not thinking of?

I just bought a 2015 mazda 3 from the dealership used. I’ve been driving it a few days and it’s smooth as butter, but I found this when I opened the hood. Should I be worried? I’ve checked under the car for leaks and the coolant reservoir is and has been at normal levels. I also used a diagnostic tool and there aren’t any error codes. I appreciate your help!

Longtime car enthusiast; never had a Mazda before. I've owned 12 vehicle over the years, and only three of them were not GM -- and those three were, without question, the ones I liked the least. My wife has never had a non-GM car.

My wife and I are looking for something small, useful, and fun to drive. AWD, decent horsepower, and a hatchback for a bit more cargo room.

After some searching, we found that the 3 Hatch is pretty much the only car that fits the bill.

Pros:

• Nice power!
• Sounds better than most I4 engines I've heard.
• Transmission shift timing doesn't annoy us.
• Great brakes & steering.
• Big enough to do what we need, and no bigger.
• Very comfortable seats.
• Not a crossover!
• Soul Crystal Red is f__king gorgeous.
• Supports CarPlay, unlike new GM stuff.

Cons:

• The suspension is pretty harsh over shitty Michigan roads.
• Tire/wind noise is a bit excessive at highway speeds.
• Nearest dealership is 20 miles from my house.
• My wife says the steering might be too heavy. (For everything I love about GM cars, their steering has always been a bit overboosted, and she's kinda used to that. I think she'll get used to this, too!)

The sales guy seemed quite knowledgeable about cars in general, and also pretty honest. When we asked, "What's going to break on this thing?" he said, "the electronics." Is this a fair assessment? What are common issues on these cars? When we say "electronics," are we talking about infotainment, ECU, window motors, sensors, what? And what kind of longevity are we talking here? I'm probably going to trade this in on something newer in <5 years.

I've also heard horror stories about cost and availability of replacement parts with Mazdas in general.

So, please be honest: what am I in for? Anything I should know?

I'm hoping most of the noise was tires rather than wind. If that's the case, it can be mitigated with tire selection, so if it really pisses me off, I'll just get a different set. A smaller wheel paired with more sidewall could also reduce some of that harshness. I forgot to look while we were at the dealership -- is there room to downsize the wheels and still clear the brakes?

someone hit my new car in an empty parking lot the other day :( sorry only a bad icy picture but the arrows point at where the crack begins and ends

ended up losing the piece that fits in there and intend on getting a new one but I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations on what to do about the crack? i don’t have the money for a new bumper and was just thinking duct tape? are there any adhesives anyone would recommend over duct tape for this repair?

looking at a mazda3 i-sport from this dealer for $9600, i was about to go up there when i noticed the interior pictures showed the touchscreen cracked on the edges. it also has had three owners and the last owner owned it for a little over a year and a half. with details like that and the price, should i go ahead anyway? its from a smaller, less than a year old shop with a low number of reviews, but have a mechanic for a PPI in mind. should i go ahead and simply fix the screen after if everything else looks fine?

I'm so upset. I just got the car and I know the paint matching for this is going to be really really hard. I came home from picking some food for my sick mother and when I got home I noticed this on my bumper. I can only assumed someone backed into the car and ran.

I'm naming it Icarus!!

My infotainment would reboot up to 5 times especially when cold. I tried system reset, disconnecting the battery, and even pulled the unit and reseated all connections. Nothing. Finally, it occurred to me that the navigation SD card was still installed and may failing. I pulled it out and BINGO no reboots since.

I called SKF and they said they had part numbers for the rear, but not the front.

Called Timken, and they gave me a part number for the front, but online resellers said that the part number given to me won’t fit my car.

Curious as to what brands other people have put on to replace OEM wheel bearings. Don’t mind buying OEM, but was just looking for some alternatives.
