A couple months ago my sunroof switch broke while it was open, so I manually closed it. I finally got around to replacing the switch today, and now it won't tilt or open (but it still closed).

I checked the fuse (which was still good) and even switched it with a known working fuse, and still nothing.

Do I need to do something to reset the sunroof so it works again? Or does it have to be serviced since I manually closed it?

I used warm water and dish soap i removed a good amount but theres still a good chink on it its on the pessenger rear side of the back my car is a 2007 mazda 3 black mica 16w code paint anyone know what to use to remove the residue without destroying my paint?

Just got myself a 2018 model 1.5, which is terrible noise. At 110km/h on the highway, I cannot really hold a normal conversation.

For those who did an improvement in regards the noise insulation, was it worth it? Planning on doing the boot and door panels, hopefully will be enough without taking over the carpet. Most noise I hear is road + wind combined..so the engine is already kinda covered.

Tirea: Yokohama winter 215/45r18. I know they are loud, especially on 18, but until spring, this is what I have.

I'm looking to get this car, and I was wondering if this was a CVT transmission by any chance, I've had bad experiences with CVT transmissions before so I was wondering what type of transmissions this car has. I've been reading it and it just says 5-speed automatic Overdrive.

2021 Mazda 3 s Doing the back brakes and accidentally initiated the e brake while it was off. Any way to get it back in without starting it into the repair mode. I lack the connected key rn so I can’t turn it into service mode am I screwed

Hey everyone, so I check my oil im getting low, now the recommendation on the oil cap is 0w-20 for my 2013 Mazda 3 I touring, anyone have any recommendations for some better oil to put in this car rather than thin 0w-20? If not and 0w-20 is the best ill get it but I'm just curious.

Edit: so some context, a buddy of mine said that should use 5w-30 cause it's not so thin, I was just curious if there was any facts behind that, im going to do an oil change tomorrow so that was the reason he said what he said.

A few years ago I took a new 2021 premium plus out for a test drive and it was amazing. I couldn't pull off financing and had to walk.

Recently I took a '23 and '24 in the same trim out and was really disappointed. I can't put my finger on it but everything just felt cheap. Preformance was there! I wasn't expecting to walk away so easy this time.

Has anyone else noticed this, or have I just been romanticizing that first test drive in my memory? Id think this was a /me/ problem, but both of these cars have been sitting on the lots for months.

I am having an issue with my brand new Mazda 3 2025 (driven around ~250km)

The car is shaking a little when the rpm gets too low when it's idling (~450 - 550 or something). The vibration stops if the rpm gets higher to ~700 - 800. This happens if the AC is on or if auto hold is on. Somehow auto hold makes the car idle at about 800 rpm and that makes the vibration completely go away.

Car is super smooth while running or speeding

This vibration is only on RPM ~500 and below

Is this an issue ? Should i run to the dealer ? Or should i wait and notice them in the first service ?

Mazda3 2014 automatic transmission with 150000km. Its making very faint grunting or grinding sound during acceleration. It's noticeable when the revs drop to upshift. Past few weeks, the gas decreases by 100-150 kilometres and the yellow check engine light comes on. It goes away as soon as I fuel up. but the grinding sound has been there since 4-5 months. car drives really nice and smooth otherwise.

Whats this sound, I am hoping its nothing related to the engine or the transmission. When I topped up the oil a little bit, the noise got masked a little although I could be wrong and later came back. Once in a rare while when I go into drive from park, it takes 1-2 seconds of throttle delay to move with a strong jolt forward. Sometimes it gets hard to put into reverse from park (unless parking brakes are engaged) and a loud bang is produced in doing so.

Im looking at getting a 2018-2020 mazda3 sedan. While I want to get a manual, I cant help but notice that the automatic transmission comes with the exhaust tips exposed while the manual unfortunately doesnt. Why is that?

The damn radio is black, and my apple car play and standard aux shows media from my phone playing just perfect, allows me to go to each app fine, but no sound. The volume buttons by the gear shift & on my steering wheel don’t work. Tried resetting, factory reset, and what a few others said was to unplug the actual battery and all things to chill for a few. Electrical wiring I assume?

Hello!!! I have a 2015 Mazda 3 grand touring. The other day my check engine light came on. The push to start button was flashing orange. I took it to auto zone and I got a code U0100. I’ve been learning how to fix my own car. I’ve look on some redit posts and google. It says to check all relevant fuses and relays. My question is… what are the relevant fuses and relays for the power train system??

I want to replace the emblems on the grill and rear of the car.

Trouble is I'm not with my car currently and won't be for a month yet - and I need to know the specific size to order...and would like to order them now for when I'm back.

I put the mazda 3 in maintenance mode before removing the brakes. I had to push the piston a bit to put back the caliper in place.

1. Seems like the battery died
2. Charged it a bit and now am able to "start" the car
3. It just won't exit maintenance mode. (On -> hold accel + brake up -> 3 times press start button.
