2018 Cavs loaded an aging team with more aging talent (D-Wade and others) and a point guard who couldn’t defend (IT) with a Superstar who was still DOMINANT (LeBron).
Sound familiar?
When the writing was on the wall, they essentially traded half the team at the deadline for maybe not as many “household” names, but for younger talent that fit better.
I see this as the only way for MKE. I am not writing off the season but I am writing off this team as currently constructed. Sue me.
Giannis can't set screens?
In the Olympics he was setting a ton of hard screens, just fine.
Giannis can't change his playstyle and is selfish?
In the Olympics he was playing in the system, a lot of the time as a center and didn't hold the ball.
Giannis doesn't respect coaches?
Every coach he's ever had has said he's one of the most coachable players. Giannis has never said a bad word for any of his coaches even after they were long gone.
Giannis picks coaches?
Horst has made a single mistake on the coach picking. He thought that he could find a great coach through an interview process (the way he himself was picked). In the end of that process, as in every interview process there is the stage where the candidate is meeting the team he'll work with to see if he fits. Giannis just gave the thumps up to this procedure.
What’s up, deer friends?
#GO BUCKS!
Haliburton: 15 ppg on 34/25 shooting.
Trae young: 28/12 on 40/30 shooting and 6 TOVs.
Jrue holiday: 12/3 with really good shoot splits.
Jalen Brunson: 23/6 on 44/38 splits.
Maxey: 32/5 on a putrid 35/27 shooting splits.
Mitchell: 24/5 on 50/38 splits with 3 TOVs a game.
Dame (before tonight): 28/6/6 on 47/31 splits.
The only ones outplaying him are arguably Brunson (I don’t think so) and Mitchell.
He had one bad game. Relax. Bucks suck right now. The spacing is off, the effort is not there, the offense is clunky, and yet he & Giannis are still producing most nights.
Lopez is shooting 36% from the field and 24% from 3 as a 7 footer. Gary is 36/36. Pat is 35/28. Delon is 37/21. Bobby is Bobby, so you’re getting middling efficiency in return for stagnating your offense.
There are many things wrong with how this team is playing, a pretty bad shooting night for Dame after getting hounded all night because the rest of his team sans Giannis can’t dribble or shoot is not one of them.
Or will this suffering blossom into a new path to victory.
FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK
I love him, and was excited for what he and Giannis could do together, but it didn't work. We need young fast talent, and Dame is the only guy we'd be willing to give up who can get us that. The writing is on the wall, this roster can't win a championship and we have no way to improve it.
Maybe we can dump Pat and Portis with him but I don't see any other team going for that.
I have a plan to save the bucks we get Glenn and Ham into a truck and send them to the front lines in Ukraine. then we can disaster draft a human coach. How do we feel about this plan?
i hope giannis gets traded, we don’t deserve him
T
lets make sure it has gas and decent tires
I'm not saying the Bucks haven't looked rough, but we are five games into the season. You don't need to fire up the suicide bus over a four game stretch.
So many open looks that don’t fall is killing this team. I really think doc has to take a chance playing the younger guys more. Just seems like much quicker movement leading to better outcomes when they’re on the floor
Look I know it’s super early, but I feel like Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny could coach this team better than Doc Rivers and Darvin Ham…seriously though, all I see is iso play after iso play, no off ball movement, terrible defense rotation. Everything is so static and lackluster in every game so far.
I just hate seeing us waste time with Dame and Giannis. I’m not expecting a ring but it would be nice to play consistent and stay on top of the East like we’re known for.
Thoughts?
“wE sUcK” “dOc Is TrAsH” yeah yeah whatever..
Do you realize how good Cooper Flag will be with Dame and Giannis? Do you really think it’s a coincidence we’re trying to beat the pistons for the 15th seed? Doc knows what he’s doing.
If we get cooper we’re 100% breaking the warrior’s 73-9 record. It’s over for the league.
Doc is a bad coach but he’s never coached a team with this much talent so badly. Also we were doing better last year with Doc.
Or maybe Doc is just purposely sabotaging us who knows lmao
So with our 4th loss in a row tonight, the story earlier about Giannis talking about leaving Milwaukee (if that's factual) and the clear issue of coaching. Whats everyone's opinion about this season, and there opinions with what will happen in the offseason.
I like to stay optimistic about them and I always feel like we can make a deep run, but I have a weird feeling deep down that the Bucks are tanking for picks, and in the off-season we will see lots of trades happen. I am probably jumping the gun here but I can't shake that feeling of what's happening
Horst has destroyed this team now and for years to come. We are cooked.
