wick replacement guide for old lighters (a better guide coming soon)

I have owned so many butane cigar lighters in my life. I can’t recall a single one that lasted long before sputtering or not igniting. I have filled with quality gas using the correct process. I don’t need a designer lighter, just a solid dependable lighter. Any recommendations.
My brother got me this lighter for Christmas but few weeks ago it ran out of butane so refill it as usual when butane started coming out of the striker area flame area and all 4 screws…I doubt it can be fixed but maybe someone knows the magic i dont(i dont wanna fill it with butane to show yall because it became a fireball in my hand last time
I got from ebay a rollagas. Freshly arrived it had some gas inside and it seemed to work. I used it for 2/3 days to light 3/4 cigars (Toscano) without any problem.
When the gas has finished, I refilled it with a can of Clipper "Pure" gas butane . Since then it seem like there is a leak of gas, because the next day, the duration of the flame is very short and after 1/2 minutes of fire it doesn't light anymore.
I made the usual test by immersing the lighter under water to look for bubbles, but there isn't any.
What could be the problem? Perhaps I'm refilling in the wrong way and I don't put enough gas?
Bought this new old stock in the original package. Doesn't seem to be leaking. Full of new butane and it's been bled. Also has spark now that I replaced the pezio and it will light off of a separate lighters flame. Not sure what the hell I should do but I was really looking forward to owning this bad boy.
Hey yall, just like the title says, what’s some table lighters new/vintage that you think are cool?
I’m relatively new, so one of my favorites is the ST DuPont Jeroboam, and I’m currently having an obsession with all sorts of table lighters.
Unfortunately, a fast google search doesn’t really scratch my itch of seeing what sort of table lighters are/have been out there… So what are some of your favorites?
What type of cord should you use for smaller trench like lighters that take zippo lighter fluid?
I’m newer into collecting and restoring and I’m confused at this issue with this Evans lighter. It will spark and it has fluid but won’t light, the sparks from the flint don’t seem to be that strong so I’m wondering if that’s the issue. I have got it to light a few times but now it doesn’t want to light, any advice?
I have an old Ronson that was my grandfathers. Since I’ve had it, it has never closed properly. I’m not sure if it’s the hinge or another mechanism. I have a lot of hobbies but lighter maintenance is not one of them so I’m at a loss. What should I be looking at here? I’d love to get this in working order. Any help is appreciated.
I just ordered a new lighter from them and found that the PayPal receiver was a Chinese name. Are these cheap Chinese knockoffs or just modern reproductions loosely associated with the real brand? Only spent 30 bucks so not too concerned. Thanks!
I'm looking for a vintage lighter that can produce a very tall flame. Much like the one featured in this TikTok video (which I couldn't find anywhere).
Can anyone here point me in the right direction?
Any advice in why this won't light? It's a Firefly lighter by General Research Co circa 1940s. I've tried multiple pieces of flint, changed the wick out to a fresh one, replaced the cotton, but it just doesn't want to light consistently unless I overfill it with fluid. The spark seems fine to me, not the biggest but should really be enough to get a flame.
