Watched this show for the first time, and it was amazing. It makes you think, makes you cry, makes you laugh, and makes you question what you are doing in life. But it’s one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. I’m hyping it up to everyone I talk to and telling them all to watch it. It was suggested to me after finishing my name is earl (ironically a show that ended after 4 seasons on a cliff hanger) and so glad I watched. After it ended I decided I had to watch it again. 30 Rock is one of my fave shows and it has a ton of the shows guest stars. It truly is a Shawshank Redemption.
I rewatch the show twice, really love it till the end of season 3 but kinda lose interest in most of season 4.
I really like Tandy and Carol.
Todd is okay and I like him when he's in bro mod with Tandy but he becomes boring as soon he's with Melissa.
Melissa bitchiness is so unfunny and frustrating.
Gail becomes more and more annoying as the show move on.
Erica is nice kinda like her but brings absolutely nothing to the show.
So why not killing off Melissa, Gail and Erica for new characters like they did for Phil, Lewis, Pat, karl, Jasper, and so on.. Or why not keeping all characters instead of killing them off.
Would like to know what you guys think.
PS sorry for the English not my native tongue.
Tandy wears so many cool shirts. Someone mentioned that they knew where to find all of them. Anyone have a link? Also, which is your favorite? Mine is probably the boxing TRex 🦖
I’ve been really going through it, and watching this show, imagining how I’d act if I was in it or in the situation has really helped me. Wish i could get closure closure closure as we all do, but I’m glad it’s here at all. Maybe in a funny sort of way it’s perfect that a show with a reoccurring song singing about closure never had a definitive ending.
I know, this is a long-shot but:
I’ve been trying to make/post a LMoE retrospective for weeks, and every time I try to upload it, the Fox Bot immediately takes it down. Not demonetized, but literally banning it from uploading.
I’ve tried filing a counter claim, nothing. I’ve tried removing all music, no luck. I’ve tried uploading it in parts to try and see where the offending material is, they just ban all of them.
Anyone have experience getting around their weirdly aggressive copyright bots?
I know all the conversations about why it was canceled back when. However, any chance a streaming service or network picks this up now or any of the creators even want it picked up? I guess I just looking for a little closure closure closure closure closure 🎵🎶
Watching this episode, I couldn't help but notice Tandy wearing a bacon shirt whilst conversing with Todd. Weird reference, but awesome.
Also, it's a kickass shirt. Just sayin'.
For me it’s “uh huh, uh huh, I know it well” when someone is talking about a subject I have no clue about
The show tries to portray him as this immature jackass (which he is in regards to the first aspect lol), but there were quite a few times where he had some really good ideas that improved his chances of survival pretty well:
-The “ALIVE IN TUSCON” signs which he put up on billboards because he knew they’d be easy to see and that the three word message would be easy for a non-native English speaker to understand
-Using a surf board to move Phil’s unconscious body because it’s much easier and he knows that he can use it to float him across the pool to give his arms and upper body a break by the time he finishes dragging him up to the mansion
-Trying to use Gordon’s body as practice for Gail as she was prepping to operate on Phil
-Communicating to Carol via putting a message on the train because he knew that that would create noise to attract her to it and it would cover a wide amount of the country in a short amount of time
He may have had poor social awareness and was clumsy, but you gotta admit that he was VERY creative when it came to non-interpersonal problem solving.
I feel like if you really watched it you could make a rough outline and even tho no exact dates ever really appear you can guess based on weeks/months that get mentioned.
Would be cool to see Tandy’s “celebrity crush” Brent Junkins among the people that the group stumbles upon at the end of season 4. How would Tandy react? And who would play Junkins?
Tonight I finished watching The Last Man on Earth, and I have to say, the ending left me utterly shocked. The abrupt cancellation of the fifth season was a huge disappointment. It left so many unresolved questions, and as a viewer, it feels unfair not to get closure after investing in the characters and storyline. Why didn’t they at least give the creators an opportunity to make a feature-length final episode to tie up all the loose ends? Instead, we’re left with lingering mysteries that will never be solved:
While The Last Man on Earth had its flaws, it was a uniquely creative and entertaining show that didn’t deserve to be canceled without a proper conclusion. Its humor, combined with moments of genuine emotion, made it stand out from other post-apocalyptic series. I rated it 8/10 on IMDb, deducting two stars for the unresolved questions and unrealistic moments I mentioned earlier. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the series and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quirky comedy with a touch of heart.
I discovered it through Disney Plus’s recommendations, and I’m glad I gave it a chance. The show may not be perfect, but it offers a memorable experience that stays with you long after it ends.
Why didn't Tandy go back to being called Phil after Phil Stacy died?
I figure this is the place it’ll be appreciated most
Random thought: During one of many, many, MANY rewatches... I'm on the episode where Mike meets Pat. For some reason I thought, What if Pat was anacronym?
It probably was. People Are Turds. Boom.
My heart hurts bro😭😭😭as annoying as they were i loved these characters
I love this friggin' show, on my 4th rewatch now. I can for some reason easily let my mind allow all the crazy shit they "buy" and supplies they have on hand at any moment, totally willing to suspend reality for a good joke. But, the one thing that bothers me every time I watch is in the Season 3 episode with Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern, you see them go through the pandemic and toward the end, the stores are completely cleared out, only dog food left. Having now gone through a less severe global pandemic, this is exactly what would happen. So, how come all the stores we see them going to post-pandemic are stocked full? Unless the entire population died off simultaneously (except in LA where Kristen and Laura are), it seems an annoying little plot hole to me. Still one of my fav shows, but wondering if the writers ever commented on that disparity?? Does this bother anyone else? Give me a good reason so I can overlook it! 😂
Not sure what to do with this so I’m gonna leave it here
this is my favorite . started watching it 2019 when covid started because everyone said this show predicted it .next thing u know i binge watched it for 2 weeks , after i few months i rewatched it again , and now im planning on rewatching it again but all i can think of is how we never got the ending this show deserved . i mean why did they even stop it the ratings were good , as far as i know there where no creative diffrences ? so why ?
