Hi, I’m looking for a good Italian restaurant in Los Angeles that is affordable and has a cozy atmosphere. I’m a college student looking for a good romantic date night spot and would love to keep it under $15 per plate of pasta. Thanks!
I tried to look for bakeries that produce fresh every day. But couldn’t find any with fresh authentic croissants in LA. Please let me know 🙏
The Montelongo family—Jose, Sharis, and their 5-year-old son, Mateo—lost nearly everything in the recent Pacific Palisades fire that destroyed 75% of their neighborhood. Jose, a hardworking general contractor, built his business serving this community, and now his livelihood is at risk. Sharis is a devoted stay-at-home mom, and together they’ve worked tirelessly to provide for their family.
This loving and caring family now faces the daunting challenge of starting over. We’re raising funds to help with basic necessities, temporary housing, rebuilding Jose’s business, and ensuring Mateo has the support he needs.
Please consider donating or sharing the Gofundme link on your social to help the Montelongos during this unimaginable time. Every bit counts. Thank you for your kindness and support!

In my hometown there is a place called coco shrimp that serves food like this with white rice . Is there any place like this in LA?

I tried a few different Roscas last year but none of them really hit the spot. So I'm on the quest again this year to find a good one!
Any recommendations? I'm in Koreatown but I'm ok driving to find a good one.
I tried these last year but they were pretty forgettable:
Thank you!
I've been on the hunt for those off-the-radar spots serving amazing bites—whether it's hole-in-the-wall taquerias, mom-and-pop bakeries, or quirky fusion joints. LA’s food scene is massive, but sometimes the best eats are tucked away, waiting to be discovered.
I’m especially curious about any hidden finds in Echo Park, Koreatown, or Little Tokyo. Maybe an unassuming strip mall spot with mind-blowing dumplings? Or a dessert shop doing something totally unexpected?

Where can I find some Basque cheesecake, the one that’s ozzing in the middle?
So finally went to Jon and Vinny’s in Studio City. And read this on the menu that you get one free refill and then you pay another $4.50. Ice tea is one of the cheapest and highest margin drinks after water. This is the first restaurant I have seen that has an up charge on ice tea. Plus the ice tea glass is the size of a water glass so the likelihood that you need a refill is high.. so disappointing. This is one of those nickel and dime examples that make me dislike a restaurant.
I don’t know if this is the right place to ask, but I want to get a GOOD cake tasting for a friend who is a huge foodie and loves to bake. Their favorite cake is a simple good yellow cake with chocolate frosting but they also appreciate any good cake in general. This is a holiday gift so I’d like to get them something really nice that they wouldn’t get for themselves. Any recommendations?
How fast are they booked out? Anyone had a success?
Just ordered it yesterday. HILLTOP COFFEE + KITCHEN. they have multiple locations I went to the one in downtown. It was PHENOMENAL. also have a sweet potato latte good but not as good as the eggnog. And the hot chocolate made with dark chocolate was FANTASTIC as well. Hope someone finds this useful this holiday season
Is there any Indian buffets in LA, especially near the Hollywood area?
Three of my close friends and I are heading from Pasadena to Inglewood on Monday night to see Billie Eilish and I’d love some recommendations of where to eat (two of us are celebrating birthdays). I have reserved parking, so as long as we get to the venue by 8, we should be good. We are all over 40, so a nice sit-down over some delicious food would be ideal! Please and thank you in advance for your Reddit brilliance!
Visiting LA for the first time… where do I go for some good fish tacos?
I made Joshua Weisman's chili oil and I'm super happy with it! So good! I'll be turning it into a chili oil mayo tomorrow, or at least some of it
