He actually mentions 2 inspirations, the first one being David Wong's PLONK post - David's a nice guy & also a famous cryptographer & he also written a very popular book on Cryptography.

Update on my experience with Ungoogled-Chromium

After using Firefox as my primary browser for practically my whole life, I moved to Ungoogled-Chromium as my primary browser around 11 months back - I have written about it here - Sad day, for the first time in life, I stopped using Firefox as my primary browser. Was practically forced to because of some bugs in Firefox. Ungoogled-Chromium is my primary browser now

So my experience with Ungoogled-Chromium was much better than I expected.

Here are the problems I faced - some of which I was able to fix.

~~DRM videos don't play - i.e. can't watch Netflix or Prime or any paid OTT. Obviously free videos work - youtube etc~~~


Just discovered that DRM videos do play on current version of Ungoogled-Chromium. So I don't need to use Firefox anymore for that. 

2) You have to install Chrome Extensions manually rather than installing them directly from the Chrome Extension Store. Not a big problem - I hardly use 5-6 extensions & installing them was a one time thing.

3) The manually installed extensions don't update on their own. However, I discovered a browser extension called "Chromium Web Store" which updates other extensions easily.

4) Updating Ungoogled-Chromium was a big problem until I discovered [ChrLauncher](https://github.com/henrypp/chrlauncher). Install Ungoogled-Chromium through ChrLaucher (I had originally installed it manually). And then Ungoogled-Chromium is easily updateable.

I can't think of any other issues I have faced.

India lost a test match at home against New Zealand after 36 years. Our previous loss was in 1998. Gambhir as Coach & Rohit as captain is a bad combo for tests. Indian test cricket peaked under the Shastri + Kohli combo. Golden Years of Indian Test Cricket!

Post Covid Waccines, Heart Attacks has become common in kids. I don't think getting heart checkups will help, though. There doesn't seem to be some identifiable marker that we know of for Waccine Induced Heart Attacks or other issues.

Another polio case caused by Oral Polio Waccine. OPV should be avoided. Injected Polio Waccine (IPV) is much safer. Most other countries have stopped using OPV in the last 7-8 years.

US CDC Waccine recommendation between birth & age 6 including 2nd doses & boosters. India is also slowly going on the same track. Most of these are useless & unrequired. This is sheer madness. Health does not come from a syringe!

China Hang Seng Index to the 🌙📈

Had a small investment (I think between 1 to 2% of portfolio) in a Chinese Index Fund & it has zoomed in the last 1 week.

In honour of that, I have made another 1st time investment - a small amount of Silver.

Otherwise, till now, my metal investments have always been Gold.

I also added a trailing stop loss to the Chinese Index Investment (18% below yesterday's price)
