I bought a Japanese Wii U. I found out the hard way you can’t change the system language to English. I’ve homebrewed it and updated it to Aroma. I’ve looked at YouTube tutorials, gbatemp posts, I can’t do any of it. I’m on a too new model, and I have no idea how to use java. Does anyone have any links to videos or websites that can help?
I would really like to put a copy of Ultimate Frogger Champion and NESnake 2 on physical cartridges, but the old RetroZone cartridges are discontinued and sold out years ago.
Luckily, the creators seems to have released the ROMs, so I was thinking I could probably just make my own copies. But what are the easiest way of doing so?
Has anyone made a Pro Wrestling players and moves in a beat em up style level progress rom hack?
Greetings to all.
I'm Jorge Romero from the Oniric Factor team.

So, the 32-bit consoles like PlayStation and Saturn would offer higher resolutions like 640 x 224 (240), does anyone know of homebrew games for any of the older consoles using those higher resolutions? Also, is the 2D artwork harder to draw for, as I imagine it would be?
Play as a cyborg exploring an interconnected world while finding secrets and abilities, meeting NPCs and destroying a dangerous A.I.

It's finally out as a full game! Play it in your favourite emulator.
I just completed my second ever GB homebrew for a community jam; it's a humorous "graveyard shift simulator" wherein you play as a knight working overnight at a convenience store. There are 5 different endings depending on how you approach your tasks for the night. Any feedback is certainly appreciated! Playable in browser or downloadable as a ROM: https://garbagecat.itch.io/knight-clerk
On one of my NES games on itch.io it says that the top website that my game was downloaded in was nextgenroms.com I have no idea what this website is and when I go to it, it says I need to enter my email and password but I don't have an account and cant even make one.
If anyone has an account for it, it would be great if you can show me the website since I am curious to see why my game is being downloaded from there.

I'm trying to make an NES game and I'm at the part of development where I am adding my Famitracker-composed music to my game. I tried to make my own sound engine to play my music but it is trash so I looked up a way to play my Famitracker music and I found Famitone, but I have no idea how to use it besides converting my music since that is easy.
Hey guys! I'm the developer of a gameboy homebrew game called Tools of Nexaura!

Just on a short notice, that there is a new homebrew gaming magazine out. It's called BrewOtaku (.com) and there are already two issues out. As I am the main editor, I have to openly admit that this is a shameless self plug. There is a cheaper digital version, which is about 2.50€ (taxes depending on the country of residence can raise that a bit). So it's basically the price of a coffee.
We try to put attention towards the devs who still support old hardware. If there are any questions, let me know. Feedback so far is mostly positive.
One year after release the according issue will be made available free of charge. Until then we try to recover our own costs and hope that people like and support our idea.
Play as a cyborg exploring an interconnected world while finding secrets and abilities, meeting NPCs and destroying a dangerous A.I.
We are so thrilled to finally get this out! Real NES cartridge, real metroidvania, real fun. I hope you get it and like it!
