I would make one where Reva has a change of heart for real and becomes a good person. I would have her almost die and have a near-death experience where she goes to the afterlife (which I assume exists, if ghosts do) and would meet her mother, who would tell her she still loves her. After she was revived she'd decide to be a good person from then on, although given how awful she was, I suspect a lot of people wouldn't forgive her.

I was wondering if anyone here has old screenshots of fearstreet.com saved. I've been trying to recreate the Fier Family Tree on the website but some of the images on the Wayback Machine don't exist anymore. I know it's a long shot that anyone would have this, but I felt I might as well ask.
To turn Fear Street Sagas into a TV series, you would need to take key elements from R.L. Stine’s iconic horror novels and translate them into an episodic format. Here’s a concept for how the series might be structured:
Format and Structure
• Anthology-Style Seasons: Each season could focus on a specific saga from the Fear Street Sagas series, much like American Horror Story, with a connected storyline but with distinct narratives. • Multiple Timelines: Since Fear Street Sagas spans centuries of the Fear family curse, the series could jump between different time periods—colonial times, Victorian era, early 20th century, etc. • Present-Day Frame Story: An overarching modern-day storyline (or character) could serve as the entry point for each historical saga. Perhaps descendants of the Fear family, or a historian, uncover long-buried secrets.
Core Story Elements
• The Curse of the Fear Family: The curse would be the central thread throughout the series, explaining the tragedies and supernatural occurrences tied to the Fear family. You’d follow the evolution of the curse, starting with Simon and Angelica Fear. • Generational Struggles: The theme of generational trauma and how the curse impacts different generations can create emotional depth. Explore the dynamics within the Fear family and how they battle their fates. • Romance, Betrayal, and Tragedy: The mix of gothic romance, doomed love, betrayal, and murder in the original books can translate into high-stakes emotional drama.
Episodes and Arcs
• 10-12 Episode Seasons: Each season could cover 2-3 books, with plenty of time to delve into character development, horror elements, and historical world-building. • Villain-of-the-Season: While the Fear family curse is the backdrop, each season could introduce a particular villain or supernatural threat tied to that saga’s events (like witches, vengeful spirits, or cults). • Flashbacks and Prequels: The show could use flashbacks to tie events from the present to the past, showing how the curse still affects descendants or even the town of Shadyside in the present day.
Visual Style and Tone
• Dark, Gothic Aesthetic: The show would need to capture the eerie, gothic atmosphere of the books. Think shadowy mansions, fog-covered graveyards, and period-accurate settings that evoke horror and mystery. • Supernatural Horror and Suspense: Balance between psychological horror (the creeping dread of being cursed) and supernatural events (ghosts, witches, and cursed artifacts). Special effects could amplify the supernatural elements, but it should also rely heavily on atmosphere. • Historical Accuracy with a Twist: Each era should be represented authentically, but with enough horror twists to make them feel otherworldly. Clothing, architecture, and social customs should fit the period but highlight the eerie differences from modern life.
Key Characters to Focus On
• Simon and Angelica Fear: Their story would be the core of the first season, showing how their actions set off the curse that would follow their family. Angelica could be portrayed as a central villain or tragic anti-heroine. • Sarah Fear: As the scapegoat for many of the family’s tragedies, her story could unfold over multiple seasons, showing how she’s misunderstood, wronged, and ultimately tied to the curse. • Supporting Characters: Include friends, love interests, and enemies of the Fear family—ordinary townspeople drawn into their orbit, some of whom meet tragic ends.
Themes and Emotional Depth
• The Power of Fate vs. Free Will: Explore how the Fear descendants either embrace or try to escape their cursed destiny, and whether they can truly break free from it. • Family Dynamics and Betrayal: Every Fear family member has their own ambitions, often leading to betrayal and paranoia. These dynamics can be the emotional core of the story. • Horror Rooted in History: Each period-specific setting should bring its own brand of horror, from witch hunts to Victorian séances, always tied back to the Fear family.
Casting and Diversity
• Multi-Ethnic Casting: Since the Fear curse spans centuries and involves different townsfolk and locations, the show should feature diverse characters who interact with the Fear family throughout the ages. • Character-Driven Acting: The series would need strong actors capable of portraying characters who evolve (or descend into madness) over time.
Potential for Spin-offs
• Fear Street Universe Expansion: Once the series has a foothold, spin-offs like Fear Street 1994 (already adapted) or entirely new stories set in Shadyside could add new lore, perhaps showing how the curse has evolved in modern times.
This approach would bring the rich lore and terrifying tales of Fear Street Sagas to life in a compelling, binge-worthy TV format.
I just started getting into the Fear Street books. So far, I've only read one book that deals with the supernatural. All the others have been murder mystery.
I would really like to read some that include ghosts, vampires, witches, cursed objects, etc. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, are there any books that feature water monsters (creature from the black lagoon, mermaids, zombie pirates)?
I couldn’t figure out what the words say on the top but it looks really close to an Idaho license plate but there are some differences. Is this just a license plate they just made up? I’m so curious and I don’t even know why 😭

Shout out to the reprint for keeping the typo in the original description. Unless her name is Lizzie now. (Before you ask, there is no cover art yet).
Source is the description for a new Prom Queen paperback reprint. Release date for the paperback is July 15, 2025. Interestingly, the first two Ghosts of Fear Street books are being reprinted and released on the same date. Not sure if there’s any connection there to the movie with those.
Hi, my first post here! I’m currently reading through the original 51 Fear Street books for the first time for a YouTube video and I have read 32 out of 51 so far.
There are so many repetitive things Stine does that is so annoying, but one of the main things is how often the characters cheat on one another. There’s constantly relationships in the series but they are always kissing or going off with other people who aren’t their girlfriend or boyfriend.
Why does Stine do that in 95% of the books? Is this really what all teens were doing in the 90s? I imagine maybe yeah some would, but it happens so much in the Fear Street books that I’m so sick of it now.
Inspired by this group (and the fact I bought the entire Seniors collection from eBay 5 years ago and forgot about it 😅) to dive back into Fear Street. Not sure what to expect, but looking forward to taking the trip down memory lane regardless.
And since it's my favorite time of year, no better place to start then here 🎃
My is this between the Super Chillers and the Sagas series (the original Saga trilogy included)
I just started Camp Fear Ghouls. The main character Lizzy lives in Waynesbridge. Are there other Fear Street books where the main char isn't from Shadyside and travels there? (No major spoilers plz).
does anyone knows what happened between Emily and McCabe? when 1978 came out these two were inseparable to the point were I even believed they were dating but know they don’t even follow each other. after part 3 came out and the hype died i left the fandom and it wasn’t until i decided to check it out again a couple of months ago that i found out about this. does anyone know or have any assumptions of what could’ve happened?
