2 You can give ideas and feedback but don't ask others to create something for you.
3 Do not ask people to vote/favorite in your submission, or in the comments
4 Before asking for help have a look at the F.A.Q at the top of the page.
5 Submissions made with art which is not your own will be removed, and on the first strike you will get a 30 day ban. If the rule is broken again it changes to a permanent ban.

9 Don't submit your entire workshop, or collections of items which you've previously posted links to on this subreddit.

Hi! This is my first skin that I've made to almost completion, it is based on the type of housing you find mostly around the Mediterranean. I haven't seen any skins like this so thought I'd give it a shot. I'm not sure if theres anything else that I need to add as I don't want it to be too cluttered, but if you have ideas lmk, also what can I change without adding anything to make it better, like colours, lighting maps etc. Thanks!
Hello mates!
Hope you feel all good!
So I'm new and I have a question. I won't get a skin accepted, so no danger for every skin maker, I am absolutely trash.
But I like to test stuff out and right now I'm into skins.
I tried to use a photo, make a texture out of it and apply it to a weapon. So far so good.
As explanation: as it's a photo the bright spots got nearly white and the dark spots faded till the darkest of them reached black.
In CS you can use the Convars to test the colours, wood material had spots that were too dark and flashed properly blue, I brightened them and all was good. Even it looked shit.
The metal texture is still problematic. It flashes oddly pink except the white spots, they are all fine. So everything seems to be too dark but gets flashed in pink as its too bright, totally confusing.
Well today I try to convert the texture into a proper colour range. So I went into gimp, restricted the colour output to 90-250 and applied it.
Seems to work, but it looks hilariously bad. All colors have a white fog on them and if I try to change that with saturation and brightness and so on, they get out of range again.
Buuut this can't be the solution. So many skins have saturated colors and they are also bright and have a great contrast. There are all colors available, even non real colors like black and white. I think I don't understand the RGB ranges. Does the base of 90 mean that R, G and B have to be over 90 same time? Cause that limits my option extremely.
If so, how can I get magenta colors (for example R:34, G:18, B:61) into the proper range? Just adding like 60 points on every value brings me there but looks totally different, as it just makes everything far brighter and gives it the bad looking finish. Don't know how to describe it. Everything has a bad contrast, looks white-ish and unsaturated. And I can't go to any single pixel of a texture and change the colour myself, totally undoable from multiple perspectives.
So I hope you can explain me what to do, what is wrong and why everything does not work properly.
:):) would be thankful for any help :):)
Have a great day!
As the title says, only when i open workshop tools, not the game itself, it makes my pc stutter down to 5fps if that and mostly just freezing every 100ms. If i go into my inventory, no lag but main menu, in game, even if im just focused on the workshop tools panel, it lags. No spikes in my pc's resources or anything like that, no where near hitting my vram or memory capacity. its just lags for no visible reason, nothing showing that anything is wrong in task manager or process lasso. Has been like this since the armory update. Has anyone else been experiencing this?
It took nearly a full minute for me to move my mouse from one side to the quit button. thats how bad its lagging and every update since armory has been making the effect even worse.
I cant work on my skins
I cant inspect or preview them at all
I might as well have a hand drawn gun on paper, taped to my damn screen
Is the blood in the water different in China? If not why is it not censored?
If so how well does it work for yall for remesh? Thinking about getting it but I can't really find any good examples of it being used for weapon models
How do you solve this problem and why does this problem occur? I found a cool method on how to make stickers but unfortunately I can't use it because of these lines.
It fixes a bit if you do a spacing, but it still looks awful when viewed on a gun.
The only way I've come up with is to fill in the gaps in the color of the object (red in this case) so that the lines are not visible due to the optical illusion.
The holomask looks like this:
VConsole log (it stays open when game crash)
There's no problem with loading on map, it works perfect. Whereas Im trying to inspect skin (like in inventory) the game ends crashing.
Already tried
It's a 1v1v1v1 map, relatively small. Spawns are in the corners of the map, protected by a wall on one side. When you spawn you're looking at a door, which, when opened, leads to a small hallway with another players spawn opposite of you, and a window to your right/left, depending on which side you spawn and a ladder on the wall leading to a "roof" area. On the other side of the map is the same thing but instead of a window its another, smaller hallway that has 4 doors in total. In the middle of the map is a truck. When you climb the ladders on either side of the map you will get to the roof. On it is grass and a platform in the middle of it with stairs leading from each entrance. I hope i described it well. Please help :D
It appears that on AMD graphics cards, Anti-Lag 2 may be causing an issue which makes it impossible to preview designs in the Counter-Strike 2 workshop tools. According to u/cyberbemon in this comment thread you can solve this issue by reverting to an earlier version of the drivers, prior to anti-lag 2 being added. According to them, driver version 24.5.1 should work, but newer versions appear to have the issue.
Please note that I, the author of this post, do not have an AMD graphics card or much experience with driver related issues, so I can't really help you. Consider also submitting a bug report via email to CS2team[at]valvesoftware.com, hopefully they will resolve this issue.
I just made a music kit for cs2 and im struggling to find out how to use it in game or to test it to make sure that the audio is just right so it sounds perfect in game, there are 0 videos online that show you how to do this
