When I say DM I mean pracc/wase, average about 1.5k/d and win the vast majority of my aim duels, hit my sprays, good mid fight movement etc.
Then in pugs it’s out the window. For context, 2000 hours, prem 21k and just started playing faceit, level 8 after 50 games.
I’ll drop 20+ kills 3 games in a row and then have 3 games in a row where I go 8-16 against seemingly worse players. Some enemies play styles I just cannot get to grips with and I find myself losing easy easy fights.
Should I look at retake servers? I think a lot of it must be mental but I don’t have the time to just pure grind pugs and I think I’ve done what I can with deathmatch beyond using it as a warmup.
guys this bogles my mind, but I am convinced the recoil for m4a4 (no-silencer) is different on 'Recoil Master' workshop map and 'aim_treeni' workshop map than the recoil on any other regular cs2 server/map . I do not see a different recoil on CSStats Training workshop map
I thought the recoil for a weapon should be identical no matter which map I'm on, but after some time testing, I'm convinced this is the case. Can someone try it out and let me know your thoughts please?
My last 2 games were on Mirage, and my team would constantly overrotate and change positions every round. It kept putting me in awkward spots and I was unsure if I should stand my ground or adapt.
I'm playing B just holding apps from the site and my mid-player rotates, watching apps from market. At this point, I realize the T's have mid-control and connector is smoked so I start to move to cover cat. They ofc come running out of apps the market player wiffs and dies and because I'm repositioning to cover cat I die as well.
I hold A main, and both A players leave, soon as I go to smoke/molly palace they come out A main
Idk if I'm making the right play trying to cover where my teammates are leaving open and just getting unlucky with timing, or I should just be taking the chance and holding but at that point every round becomes a coin flip.
PS. I know I should play one position and in most games I do, but people were leaving entire halves of the map open in these games, someone had to fill or the T's would be taking free sites.
Just started playing train and i'm clueless on it, wondering where are the best positions to hold on CT with an awp and where to default on T with the awp.
Thanks
Hello, this might seem a bit weird considering my flair but I have been having these problems ever since I moved to CS2.
Before anyone rails at me about I should just "go DM or Aim Botz", I have been doing this since the transition and spent my weekdays just focusing on getting some sort of muscle memory for this game. However, it seems to me that flicking in CS2 just feels "unnatural" or not intuitive for lack of better words to explain it. I play on 400 dpi 1.8 sens with 1.1 zoom sens mutliplier, so as you can see I use my arm a lot when it comes to flicking in large distances.
I realised my flicks with my wrists are fine. However, once I start using my arm to flick in larger distances, that's when the problem begins. Right now, when I try to flick with my arm where my crosshair is really far from the enemy, it feels like I have a lower eDPI and my shots go behind for some reason. To make it worse, certain maps hide the tracers well because it blends in with the colour and I have trouble seeing where my bullets go to correct my aim. I think this issue has been plaguing me since CS2's release as my first shot hs % accuracy has absolutely fallen off a cliff when I check my demos and in leetify.
For those are able to still flick well around my eDPI, how did you manage to do it?
I'm just re-watching this clip: https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/s/8TDz42zyaf - OP here also did one for donk.
I've noticed that Niko and donk both tap the movement keys to navigate around the map.
Is this a good habit to try and learn to make it easier to counter-strafe and is it a situational thing?
I don't see it it mentioned in counter strafing vids and I'm just pondering it.
I think I'm doing myself dirty with more holding than tapping.
A bit of a silly question I guess but it's just something I'm wondering without knowing the proper answer to.
I've been llay CS on and off for years. Been pretty alright in my opinion. Season 1 premier, my highest rank was 19k. Recently however, I've been missing gunfights. Either my crosshair is off slightly and I die OR I spray but don't do enough to finish a kill. What skills can I work on to fix this issue ?
Hey im a Faceit lvl 3 player, and i've been struggling quite a bit in a few last matches i've played. My biggest issue is just aim, no matter how many times i play Aim_rush and aim training maps, i just can't get the headshots and, also i just struggle with roles, like i don't know if i am a lurker or a entry fragger or a AWPer. Would like some feedback on some of my FACEIT Demos.

Most importantly, I showed up to LAN.
4-5 LAN's in Virginia. 1 in New York. 1 in Maryland. 2 Fragadelphia's.
A lot of times I autopilot a peek, see an enemy, flick towards them and shoot. I have beefed many easy kills because of this, but I also have died a lot trying to put my crosshair directly on their head.
I feel like this should go away as my gamesense/crosshair placement gets better, but I also want to fix this sooner than later if it’s a bad habit.
I’m talking about medium-ish range, like A site to cat on dust 2 or clearing A out of hut on nuke.
I've developed the habit of pressing Shift while counter-strafing or during gunfights in CS:GO (1.1k hours played). I do this almost every time I enter a fight or counter-strafe (e.g., I peek by pressing A, then immediately press Shift + D to stop I peek pressing A > release A > Shift + D to stop). I also tend to jiggly-peek while holding Shift when holding an angle.
It originally helped me to stabilize my aim, but I'm now unsure if it's holding me back. When I practice regular counter-strafes in customs without Shift, my aim feels shaky, and I tend to overpeek. Is this something I should actively work to unlearn? Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what helped you break the habit?
I got back into the game after a ~2 year break. I've been using leetify to track my Aim stats and I've noticed that my Time to Damage is always among the worst in the server, even though i get many kills and have a good K/D. How do i improve this stat, and is it meaningful in any way even?
Do you think his unique grip style truly gives him an advantage in CS2, or is it more about personal comfort? Could this grip improve your own aim and gameplay, or do you believe there’s a different technique that works better for precision and control?

I have 1k hours in the game and i am around 8k rating. I am a very inconsistent player but i dont know why since i stick to a consistent routine of aim training and other things. In this game my teammates spoke too little i feel and i also feel like my aim felt quite off but i would some advice on mistakes or things yall notice wrong with my gameplay, Thanks!
i have this problem where my movement in game is very good, like i can consistently bhop, surf, hit hard jumps, complete kz maps etc. but my game sense is kinda bad. my aim is good but i just don't know what i'm doing sometimes. was thinking of just quitting the main game and focusing on movement/dicking around in nuke comp. i have 330 hrs. any advice?
Hi everyone, could you tell me the best daily routine to improve aim, flicks etc? Thanks!
22k in premier and I consistently topfrag, I'd say I have really good gamesense and aim.
BUT FOR SOME REASON???
When I play wingman (LEM) I can't win a game no matter what I do, the wingman players are better than lvl 10s that I've played against.
Feels like I'm playing against wallhack but there is no chance every game is a wallhacker right?
I'm not gonna be salty and say it's just cheaters.
Edit: CLOSED, I got quite a bit of interest, I'll reopen once I go over everyone that was interested so far. Thanks everyone!
Hello! I'm looking for a few people that want to improve at the game but don't want to drop money on a coach. I'll provide the same service at no cost I just ask you allow me to record for some youtube content. It might not even get posted i just need some recordings to start learning DaVinci Resolve.
I was supreme and faceit 10 In GO but I'm older and don't play as much now I coach a team in my free time and enjoy studying pro games and want to start a YouTube channel.
My discord if you're interested: Reagret#5363 (idk if u still need the #5363)
My teammate reported me because I was pre aiming and I guess I was looking at the enemy through walls or something and it was sus. How do I play less like this so I dont get reported more and banned? I mostly just peek at areas when I think an enemy is going to be there and I guess I'm just really lucky
I am stuck in 2-4k ELO after 350 hrs. I don’t think I’m awful - top frag every game, give callouts when I can - although admittedly I don’t really have great gamesense (with smoke/utility lineups, positioning, coordinating plays, etc).
I think I should’ve been able to climb out of this ELO by now and don’t know exactly what I’m doing wrong. 4k ELO would put me at the 99% of premier players, from what I understand. It is frustrating now knowing what I’m doing wrong. I have looked up tutorial videos on how to improve, but don’t know what to look for.
I am not new to FPS gaming, and have have been able to hit Diamond in R6S with over 4.2k hours. I have heard both games are very similar, but if that’s true, then why do I suck so much at CS? I feel like a lot of the time the outcome of the game isn’t within my control. Maybe I just have a poor attitude and need to put more time into watching educational videos on CS. I also do see people smurfing in games or unranked players returning from CS, which may possibly play a role. That said, I think it’s more so my own lack of ability in this game, if I’m being honest.
Title. I've seen some pros using it on their CT sides in the recent Blast Bounty groups and I'm curious what the rationale is. I genuinely can't think of a use-case where it'd be the ideal choice. Maybe for the quick 2-tap to the head on ecos when holding a close choke point?
