19M looking for a serious male accountability partner.I want to wake up 04:30 everyday.

You must be willing to text daily and wake up 04:30 every morning. I use whatsapp, Facebook or discord. My timezone is GMT+2. I got work from 11am to 8pm so won't be able to chat that time but I take my break around 3pm so I can chat then.

I am currently planning to join the French Foregin Legion so I need to study French, workout and do IQ tests everyday.

I've been very inconsistent so I need help. We'll motivate each other and start taking serious action.

Its gonna be a tough road but we gonna get through this and conquer our dreams💪

Only comment or message if your serious please guys🙏

Run and meditate for one hour every day - UTC+2

Hello, I'm looking for (an) accountability partner(s) to make sure I wake up early, do some cardio in the morning and have one meditation session daily. I don't mind if you live in another timezone or if you have different goals. I like to keep things simple, and just share a message after each goal or habit is completed, no need to be available at the same time.

Looking for Partners who Love Self-Improvement, Meaningful Discussions, and Sharing New Ideas [EST, GMT-5, M, 27]

Index

  1. Introduction
  2. About Toxic Vs. Healthy Relationships (Optional Read)
  3. The Most Important Traits I Look For in An Accountability Partner
  4. How I Achieved Great Success In the Past

Introduction: Hello, my name is Ben, I'm living in NJ for the time being, and I just finally got out of a 4-year codependent relationship that destroyed the decade of significant self-improvement progress I had made in every area of my life. It also made me a miserable person. Yes, there were some good times, of course. But I hated who I became and how much I screwed up my life. Now I'm trying to get back to where I was 4 years ago and then surpass it.

About Relationships: If you're in a relationship that isn't making you a better person, I highly recommend ending it, perhaps after spending a month or two trying to solve the underlying problems if you think that's possible. But if the person isn't interested in growing as a person and is just outright toxic for you, get out. It doesn't matter if they're a good person; that doesn't mean they're a good romantic partner for you. You're delaying their progress in life by staying with them.

I wish someone had told me that when I was younger, or had explained what a codependent relationship is to me and what red flags to look out for while dating. Learning the hard way is just too destructive and painful. But I'm done with my Savior Complex now. Dating people to "save them" is not how you help people. You date someone who makes you a better person (and vice-versa) so you can help other people by provide good advice, active listening, and words of encouragement to people who want to grow and want some mentorship or guidance to help them clarify and achieve their goals to better themselves and the world around them. There are countless young people, especially, who desperately want and need mentorship but can't find it.

I know that all too well because I was one of those lost, directionless young people who never heard any words of encouragement or received any advice when I needed it. I looked for mentors but couldn't find any. But I also didn't know how to find mentors: a subject I'm making a video about right now.

The bottom line is you can only help those who sincerely want help. You cannot save people by dating them. And you can't solve other peoples' problems for them. “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

(If you need any relationship advice, feel free to DM me.)

The most important aspects for a solid accountability partner for me are:

  1. A long history of self-improvement with some solid accomplishments thus far
  2. A love of self-improvement in every area of life and of concepts like "self-actualization," as described by Abraham Maslow.
  3. Being a nerd who loves reading, writing, meaningful discussions, listening to podcasts, and listening to lectures by people like Dr. Jordan Peterson and Dr. Albert Ellis
  4. A love for finding, sharing, and discussing new ideas

How I Achieved Great Success in the Past

Four years ago, I was in the best shape of my life, I ate 100% healthy every day effortlessly, I printed out and revised my life planner every day, and had 2 accountability partners that I really clicked with and talked to for 5-15 minutes on weekdays and 30-60 minutes on Saturday or Sunday. I also had friends I went to the gym with and practiced BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu). My life was damn near perfect. I had zero stress because I knew I was doing everything I needed to do and when.

My "life planner" was a well organized document that included the list of tasks I needed to do every day (take cold showers, flossing, HRV meditation, no texting & driving, etc.), the specific tasks I had to do that day, this week, next week, this month, next month, etc. It also included a list of ideas for fun, creative projects I wanted to do in my spare time (make a series of YouTube videos on various aspects of motivation), cool events I'd like to attend in the future (music festivals, BJJ competitions, a Jordan Peterson event) and big projects I'd like to start in the future (start a podcast, retake the LSAT, entrepreneurial ventures, etc.)

So one of my goals is to start printing out my life planner every day again, obviously.

Since ending the relationship, I'm much happier, but it's hard not falling back to the old habits of binge eating junk food and binge watching Netflix due to the fact that after the first 6 months of the relationship I just ended, that became my norm. So I have 4 years of bad habits to override, which I had successfully eliminated previously by the age of 21.

I know if I can find 2-3 solid accountability partners, I could easily eat healthy every day. If I don't eat junk food, I won't binge watch. They go hand-in-hand with one another.

38m looking for running/training partner

I just ran my mouth and told a friend of mine that I'd be up for running a half marathon this summer. Needless to say I'm not even close to doing that. Does anyone want to be virtual running buddies or just keep each other accountable? I'm looking for someone to talk to and train with towards some sort of shared goal/interest.

28F Seeking Accountability Fitness Partner with Similar Goals

I'm in search of an accountability partner who shares similar goals and is around my age and time zone (MST). The idea is to keep each other on track and motivated.
Ideally, we'd check in daily to ensure we've stayed consistent with our workouts and healthy habits. While my primary goal isn't solely focused on weight loss, I'm aiming to shed some body fat and build muscle. I'm not a fan of restrictive diets, but I do want to prioritize whole foods and cut down on my daily dessert intake to twice a week.

I am a professionally trained chef (though currently off of the line and back in school) and would love to discuss recipes if that interests you but totally isn't necessary.
If you're on a similar journey and think we'd make a good team, feel free to shoot me a message. Let's support each other in reaching our fitness goals!

40 M - [NYC] Harlem Fitness Buddies

I'm looking for an after work and weekend afternoon fitness buddy or buddies in Manhattan, ideally on the Westside for easier access and commutes to Central Park or Riverside Park.

I'm on a slow journey back to weekly at-home workouts, and would like an accountability partner or partners, who are also working out solo.

We'd start small with walking the Central Park loop or along the Hudson River Parkway, and then include at-home mobile gym workouts.

If this interests you, drop a Reddit Chat or Reddit email with your details. Please include your short-term fitness goals. Thanks!

45 y/o F looking for weight loss/ fitness / glow up buddy

Hi! I’ve been looking to get back to my fitness / weight goal of 115 since having a baby 3 years ago. (Now I’m 135). I’ve always been slim my whole life and naturally had the desire to stay active and workout. It’s now felt like a struggle since having the baby; also could be my age!! It would be AMAZING to find someone looking to have a workout buddy to check in with to make this more fun again. I’m in EST 💖

22F Calorie-Tracking Fat-Loss Accountability Partner

Hey there! 22F, 5'4", 138lbs

Over the years I've lost some weight, went from 160-140s. I'm at a healthy weight: 138, but I'm looking to continue my my fat loss journey to meet my aesthetic and athletic goals.

I'm very well-versed in calorie counting, fitness apps, etc. and I need someone to stay accountable with who will take this seriously but doesn't have an unhealthy mindset around food, exercise, and calorie counting. I am strength training to lose fat, not muscle, and I'd like someone who wants to do the same.

My daily calorie goal is 1,200-1,300 kCals, and I get active in some way almost every day.

Prefer female, 20-25 range.

Anyone need a morning-call? (GMT+9, 25M)

One of my goals these days has been getting up early. And the most succesfull strategy I have ever tried was having a morning-call friend and taking the responsibility of waking them up. So I'm looking for someone who can recieve my call every morning. I hardly missed a call when I did it before, so I'm hopeful that I can reliably make the calls every morning.

I'm living in Korea so it might be difficult finding someone in a similar timezone on here. But I'm trying to improve my English skills these days, so I'm giving it a try posting on here.

Time: I can adjust it between 6 to 8 AM in GMT+9

On which days: Ideally, everyday, including weekends, but we can adjust as needed.

What we talk on the phone: Whatever you want! We can have a small conversation like "what's your plan today?" Or just share a simple greeting and hang up.

Please leave a comment or send me a message if you're interested. Feel free to ask anything or make suggestions!

(I've posted this on r/GetOutOfBed but couldn't find anyone in a similar timezone. I hope I could find someone here, but I would also appreciate recommendations for other subreddits or websites for this post.)

24F looking for an accountability partner studying + habits, GMT+0

I am 24f and working a full time job. I graduated last year of a degree that I didn't like and now I'm studying another degree but in a distance learning university.

I also want to have time to take care of my health, eating healthy and running thrice per week.

To accomplish all of the above I need to get more disciplined and that's why I think having an accountability partner would be a positive thing.

I would like to have a weekly ~30 min videocall to set goals for the week and seeing how the previous week went and also daily check-ups through WhatsApp or a Google Sheets document, but I'm open to suggestions.

Thank you!

23M Graduate (Study + Self Development)

Hello everyone! I'm a 23-year-old male currently enrolled in a medical program and I'm on the lookout for an accountability partner who shares similar ambitions in studying, research, and personal growth. As we all know, navigating through medical education can be quite challenging, and having someone to share goals, progress, and obstacles with could really make a difference.
Here's a bit about what I'm looking for:
Goals: My main focus areas are academic success in my medical studies, advancing in my research projects, and pursuing self-development goals to become a well-rounded individual.
Check-Ins: I believe in the power of consistency without overwhelming our schedules. Thus, I propose brief, 30-minute weekly check-ins. We could use Zoom for a face-to-face interaction or stick to texting if that's more convenient. The idea is to discuss our progress, set goals for the upcoming week, and motivate each other to overcome challenges.
Ideal Buddy: Ideally, you're someone who is also in a rigorous academic program or involved in research. It doesn't have to be in the medical field, but it's important that you're serious about your goals and looking for mutual motivation and accountability. You should be open to giving and receiving constructive feedback and committed to our agreed-upon check-ins.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, please DM me! We can chat more about our goals and see if we'd be a good fit for each other. Looking forward to potentially teaming up and making our journey through academia a bit more collaborative and a lot more rewarding!
