I noticed everyone seemed to havw gotten the new home kits this season or last season other then down this year. Are they still going to have there 2023 kit for this upcoming season coming season ?
I was recently tested for pre season where I got a bleep test score of 4.7 which is poor, as well as 20m sprint and t-test scores being considered poor as well when looking at normative data. What would be the best way to improve these scores and lose weight, as I could be doing with losing a few stone for the start of the season in March?
Heard from a close source to the team last week about an incident on the team trip to Miami.
Few more people have been discussing it today.
Obviously as of now it is conjecture and due to that fact I won't state the facts or the people involved but anyone else heard about this?
I’m 20 years old just finished the season. Played for junior b and u21 b so admittedly not a top level player. Game time wavering but any tips or singular training sessions or structures to follow during off season for the next few weeks. Really motivated to improve my game as I feel I am young enough to get to a high level in my club.

Hi all, just a question, why the hell do GAA balls feel like they have a rock inside them, kicked one the other day & hand palmed it too & brought me right back to school days playing & I always hated it, sorry just a possibly silly question but just wanted to know, thank you.
Hi,
Canadian here, I'd like to start watching hurling and become a new fan but I'm having a really hard time finding a schedule of the games. The time zone difference is about 6 hours so alot of the games fall into my weekend afternoons which is perfect for me.
I downloaded the GAA app and to find the game times it seems you have to read the articles and the app just shows scores for games in progress.
I was hoping I could find an app that that has the upcoming games schedule. Does such an app exist?
Cheers,
Duckyyy
Hi folks, has anyone ever used a Microsoft surface for stats / apps etc or is everything only on IPad ?
OK so this is very much Armchair blue-sky thinking. Part of me thinks I'm about to talk shite but here goes.
So I was watch a doc about physiques in sports and how at the elite levels sports are selecting for different body types. Fairly obvious the proportion of people who are 7foot+ and players basket ball is very high. But it was saying that rugby players are getting fitter and heavier, gymnastics are getting shorter etc.
So here where it relates to football. Because of the need for the mix of endurance, explosiveness and strength top county players tend to be a similar build. You don't see many giants, like real giants like Second Rowers in Rugby because it's rare for them to have the athleticism to cover the ground in the modern game. Everyone ends up looking like middle-distance runners . Packing on as much muscle while not overly encumbering themselves with weight
Could we see differentiated training programmes for full forward. Let the lads pack on weight and muscle if they are only going to be doing short explosive sprints. Could you see more 110kg Backrow forward builds in there. Maybe doing a totally different type of training Or some of those wee lads who are pocket rockets but get caught over distance. They might make hay in one on ones. 2 giants and a wee lad who's quick is a go to full forward line in CnaB
The more logical side of me thinks probably not...but also why not
On Thursday, November 21st 2024, the life of young athlete Joe Slattery and his family changed forever. While training with is beloved parish team, Joe suffered life-changing injuries which will necessitate lifelong care. Joe is a big brother, a son, a friend and a team-mate. He is loved and respected by all who know him. He has represented Clare in hurling and football and was Junior Cert student of the year 2024 in his school. We, Joe’s family, ask for your help in supporting Joe in adapting to his changed life. Anything you can contribute will make a difference in Joe's future. In addition, you can help by sharing the page and keeping Joe in your thoughts.

Is there a way to rewatch games broadcast on TG4? Missed out on the hurling over the weekend and would like to watch it but can't find out how to do it on the TG4 player. I know on the RTE player it gives you the option to rewatch games shown live
Not sure if I'm just being paranoid here, but is it weird for a club from a neighbouring county to come asking for money for their club (at half 7 at night too)? A local club I could understand (even if I would have told them to get stuffed anyway) but this is a club a good half hour away (south Tyrone to Fermanagh near the cavan border) and my house is in the middle of f'ing nowhere.
Woman seems to think it's normal enough but the whole situation is setting off alarm bells in my head

Last night in celebration of the seniors winning a semi final we all went back to the club, But they wouldn’t serve a certain few of us because we are still “minor” players yet we have finished the season and are over 18
Is this the usual?
