What are my chances I get a scholarship for college football

I'm a defensive end at 6'2 185. I bench 205 and squat 315 as a freshman. I average about 4-5 tackles a game and I play at a 5a in Texas school as a freshman. What are my chances making it to college football? I'm trying to get a scholarship from Colorado state university. And my grades are all a's and b's. I run a 40 yard dash in about 5 seconds.

Am I big enough?

Hey. So I'm new to United States. Moved here couple of months ago. I'm 16 and I just joined a high school for Junior year. It has been a dream of mine to play Football for a highschool be in the varsity team etc. I'm sorry if what I say now seems stupid but I'm 6'3 and about 210lbs. Not that muscular but I'm not skinny as well. I just want to get an opinion if I'm good enough for a varsity team ik there's no requirements to join the team but I need to be able to impress the coach. Tomorrow is Gona be my first day at my high school. Please do give me an opinion if I can pursue that path with my height and physique.

What moment did you have the biggest surge of adrenaline?

So I’m playing Highschool football right now. It was a game we were all really hyped for and had been anticipating it for a while. We needed one more win to make the playoffs and this was our last chance. So first play of the game, we kick off the ball and we are on defense. I’m an outside linebacker (on defense) and a wide receiver (on offense) So the other team has the ball. They make a good running play, pick up 8 or 9 yards, and the next play I blitz and manage to get through into the backfield. I spot the QB, and go for the sack. Long story short, I hit sticked him. I’m pretty sure his team wasn’t too happy about that. So we get the ball, and the play is for me. “Pro right Y counter” I take the handoff, and someone on the other team hit sticks me. I get a huge surge of pain in my left knee. I still have no idea what specifically happened to it, but I sit out the rest of the first half. next half comes, the paramedics clear me to play again. I play the second half and get like 150 yards. I went to the hospital after the game, turns out I completely fractured my knee. Biggest surge of adrenaline ever.

Football player

I am trying to try out for my high school football team, but I want to know if I should based on my weight and height. I am 5’5 and 105ish pounds. I play wide receiver. I can get past defenders pretty good. I have great speed. I am strong and I have a good vertical and I can take hits easily

Passing rules

Just getting into American Football and I thought you only could pass once in a play.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4j0GOagDv4w #6 at 3:42ish

I dont understand, I see the defence is laying down, so guess that has something to do with it. Still trying to understand the whole eligible receiver rules. So far my understanding is that those in the scrim line are defenders and cant receive.

MNF cowboys chargers football game Chargers Cowboys

I’m a football fan, have been for a long time and i played for about 10 years from elementary school through high school so I’m pretty well versed on most rules. Monday night football during the cowboys last drive before halftime ceedeee lamb caught a pass and went out of bounds. Joe Buck and Troy Aikeman mentioned how the clock kept running, and one of them said “progress was stopped and he went out of bounds, subsequently the clock kept running”. I’ve never heard that before, if you’re out of bounds you’re out of bounds imo. Does anyone know what that means and when that became a thing? It’s not like ceedee was getting tackled then he forced himself out, he caught it and went out, so I’m confused. Any clarification?

Chad Johnson - Hall of Fame?

Looking at his era of football I don't see why Ochocinco is not currently in the HoF. When I think of the top receivers of his era it boils down to: Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Smith, and Anquan Boldin, Andre Johnson, and Calvin Johnson.

And then you still have guys like Wes Walker, Hines Ward, and T.J. Houshmandzadeh. In my opinion, I have @chocinco right there in the top 10.

Plus if you add what he brought to the game in terms of celebrations & entertainment - no one other than Terrell Owens comes close.

Especially when you consider owners, coaches, and players have made the HoF with much less.

How to break-in a new, leather football...in the Philippines?

Hello from the Philippines! A relative of mine returned from the US, and surprised me with a Wilson "The Duke" Football. I then learned that I had to break it in, but materials aren't very accessible here. So far I've read the Ball Breaker's article and it seems I can only find the following (apart from the bucket, water and towel):

  • Shoe Polish Brush
  • Neatsfoot Oil
  • Barbasol Shaving Cream

There doesn't seem to be any football mud and tack bar/spray here. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? e.g alternative methods?
