Anyone that has the takeda exhaust know if your exhaust came with a new actuator and screws? I bought a new one from someone who never had it installed. But he didn't have the actuator and it looks like I would need screws and spacers to properly install a new valve actuator.
Also I came from a Cobb exhaust and the takeda doesn't sound quiet as good imo. It has less burbling sounds. Just in case anyone was deciding between the two. Although the main reason I switched is because the Cobb actuator mount has the actuator's connector facing upwards toward the sky which allows water to seep in which destroys the actuator. (just a heads up)
Are this numbers good? Im a noob and i dont know $#!+ about this🤣🤣🤣
After all the problems I’ve been have with my rs I want to say thank you to everyone that has helped me. It was bitter sweet saying goodbye to the problematic car but it was for the best, I now own a 2018 Civic Type R.
Hello all, swapping my brake pads and putting on Hawk Performance Pads. Is the rear set of pads supposed to be bigger than front pads? This will be my first time doing pads on this car/a performance car.
Bought a set of these for $650 this is the only one with a a chip out of it looks to just be the powder coat chipped tires have about 2, 3 winters left
I have a 17 RS and im sick of bending rims on potholes (and $500 tires). I am keeping the oem 19in rims for the summer but im looking for a set of 17s for the winter, the forum said its been done but the brand they named were a bit out of my budget. Any info helps
As title says. It’s also my first boosted car. Dealer wasn’t sure on mods, but as far as I can tell wheels and exhaust. The clutch is also super tricky compared to what I’m used to, is that normal on these cars? Came from a 2012 Civic Si
So I bought my car back in April and have the stock wheels and the rear came with a bent lip on the rear and curb rash on the front passenger side and want to get to new wheels. I'm having a hard time picking out wheels. I feel like black is the safe choice but Im 50/50 on bronze. I'm also considering dark grey/silver. Just wanted to see what is out there or recommending.
I suspect I may need a clutch replacement in the near future and I'm relatively new to the area, so I don't have a relationship established with any shop. Can anyone recommend a place they like that's reasonably familiar with our cars, prefferably in the north side?
Car started throwing a lower tire pressure code. I checked and they were below 30psi 2 of them. Aired up and it's still throwing the code and now my entertainment doesn't take input from the steering wheel or touch screen for my Bluetooth device. Any ideas how to "soft reset" my car? Lol
Had to pull over for this.
Has anyone seen or have the “Grace Silver” Gram light 57cr in 5x108? I’ve seen them in Subaru bolt patterns but not ours wtf.
I was having a over boost code as my previous post stated. I have a turbo smart bov and actuator I believe I just got the car. But I found this on my boost solenoid. One of the barbs plugged off. Is it supposed to be plugged? Or where does it plumb too?
I’m looking at a RS and I’m 16. wondering if that’s a bad choice? this would not be my first manual car. Where I live the AWD would be really nice and I do not want a Subaru and this is the only other AWD manual I can find. Thanks
I'm hopefully going to look at a 2017 Focus RS with ~2,900 miles on it. It's being sold by a reputable Ford dealership in my area, and they told me that it has an aftermarket front mount intercooler and exhaust, and possibly also a tune. It was built before July of 2017 so I already know I have to check to see if the head gasket has been replaced, and obviously you can't trust any random tune, but should the modifications actually be that much of a worry with such low mileage?
The CARFAX report tells me that the previous owner added fairly consistent mileage over the years he owned it. There was some minor cosmetic damage to the left side of the front bumper in 2019 which was fixed. What should I look out for when I go take a look at this car in person?
I am currently between this Focus RS and a 2021 STI Limited with ~29,000 miles, completely stock, both cars around the same price. I know that Subaru engines can easily grenade with even the simplest OTS tunes and modifications, which is why I'm torn between this stock STI and the Focus RS, but I don't know as much about what the RS engine can take and how much of a dealbreaker modifications should be.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks!
I Just purchased a 2018 focus Rs in race red with 77k kilometers on it. As I was driving home from the dealership the engine light came on. it was a over boosting code. The car has a turbosmart blow off valve on it. just wondering what it could be. do these cars have electronic boost controllers? or a boost sensor is faulty. I then cleared the code and it went away for a while even when I would get under boost again. Then like 20 mins later it gave a service engine warning but the cel didn't come on. and when I would check for codes nothing there. thanks for the help happy to join the club either way.
I also just found out I also have a turbo smart wastegate actuator. I’m going to try to find out if I have a BRA installed already.
I just checked and I do have a BRA installed.
Is there any specific brake/clutch fluid to be used? My car has a SPEC Stg.2+ clutch
Add links if possible
Picture is from a game but does anyone know of a front lip like this I’ve been looking but can’t come up with anything
Hello, does anybody know if you can buy this carbon kevlar bumper protection anywhere? ore maybe it is custom build..
I'm in the USA. I'm not sure if this is allowed here but I was buying parts as I was making a deal for a car. That car fell through and found another that already had sone things done to it.
I have brand new in bag "mountune Upgraded Solid Shift Cable Bushing Set" SKU:2363-SSB-BA And "mountune Uprated Air Recirculation Valve - Focus RS"SKU:2536-TRV-AA
Open to offers but I'd like to get $150 if at all possible for both free shipping to the lower 48 states
Ok so to start off I have ridden in several RSs but never an ST, I would love to have an RS obviously but can’t really afford one at this time so I started looking at the ST. Am I going to be disappointed with the focus ST if I have my heart set on an RS at some point? Or should I get an ST until I hopefully upgrade to an RS in the future when possible. I have heard the ST is a great car I would just love to hear why you guys have to say. I drive a 2004 Acura TL 6spd at the moment and thinking that an ST would at least be a little more fun than the Acura.
Is the splash guard supposed to be tucked into the bumper cover, or sit underneath (like in the picture) and then the fasteners hold it in place. Picture
Also, does anyone have the part number for the plastic fasteners that go here? I lost the original ones and the generic ones I have are not quite right.
