Hi, I don’t normally post on any subreddits, but I’ve been hearing strange motor noises akin to that of a motorcycle around Round Top Dr. It’s usually accompanied by some kind of loud music, but the last time I heard it, it sounded like a carnival sort of sound. I’ve looked outside my window a couple times to check, but the only thing I ever saw was a tiny trolley shaped vehicle (?) drive away incredibly fast. People on my street don’t seem to notice or speak about it, but I’ve heard it several times at this point. Has anyone else ever heard these sorts of noises around this area at night? I feel like I’m going insane, LOL.

I think I heard Palestinian supports marching down Colorado a little while ago. Any word on what the nose was?

Does anyone remember a mexican restaurant in the Eagle Rock mall in the 1990s? They had the best nachoes i have ever had, there was usually a 30 - 45 min wait to get them. Wondering if anyone knows the name and/ or what happened to them. Would love to find them if they still exist somewhere else.

I have been noticing this woman that stands on Colorado with a half dozen suitcases and other bags for a couple months now. She appears a couple times a week, with no pattern. Modestly dressed with an organized demeanor, almost militant, does not appear to be unhoused. She stands near the intersection of Hartwick and Colorado for hours, sometimes the whole day tending to these bags. The quantity and layout of bags are exactly the same every day. I have never seen her come or go, far too many bags to transport by herself by foot.

I’m wildly curious about what is happening and have no theory that makes sense. Anyone have a similar curiosity or answer?

Does anyone know when will the new and improved car wash will open? I passed by it the other day and it seems they’re almost ready to crack the Champagne bottle 😆

Does anybody know why there is an African American person who stands on Colorado blvd at Hartwick in Eagle Rock, down the street from Islander Motel? They are standing in the shade for hours with multiple suitcases from morning until late afternoon, and sometimes I still see them there in the evening when I happen to drive by. They don't look homeless, but it is unusual as they seem to be there everyday.

Shame this place closed, though I’ve only played here once or twice, it was such a nice spot to be with friends on a Friday night, it could get rowdy though esp with drink karaoke lol - 22 lanes, auto scoring, would be cool if it reopens.

Im living in Echo Park & I’ve been wanting to start a dart team to participate in a casual dart league. I have my teammates all set, we are just looking other teams to play against/other people interested in starting teams.

All the leagues I’ve found in LA are pretty dead serious, I’m just a twenty three year old who likes beer & darts. Does anyone know of any pre-existing casual dart clubs on the east side? Any silverlake/echo park/highland park/los feliz etc dart enthusiasts who would be interested in starting a league?

I'm not gonna say which one because if I'm mistaken, I don't want to unnecessarily harm their reputation, but I wanted to see if anyone else noticed this.

Sometimes, when I'm in a hurry, I only put 10 to 15 bucks in to get me where I'm going, then I fill up later.

However, at this one particular gas station, I've noticed that 15 bucks doesn't budge my meter at all. It makes me wonder if there's something going on with their meter.

EDIT: I'm not referring to the 76 on Colorado. I already know about the multiple scandals they've been involved in. There's another gas station doing weird stuff.

Hey there, I'm looking for a shop that'll sell cheap mala beads (108) in the eagle.rock or nearby areas. Much appreciated!

I’m in Glassell Park, overlooking Paseo Canyon. For the last six months, there has been a lady camping out in the canyon with her two dogs, one of whom barks (barely an exaggeration) all day and all night. I’ve written the city, they require me to gather handwritten letters from my neighbors. As someone with a 9-5 and a family, this just doesn’t seem feasible.

From speaking with others who live closer to her encampment, I know that the community is giving her lots of food. While this is great, and I’m glad she’s not starving, it has also led to a dramatic increase in rats and other pests around her space, due to lack of disposal.

I’m empathetic towards the lady, but I’m reaching my breaking point with this barking. Truly, it’s AT ALL TIMES. Quite frankly, I don’t know how the dog isn’t hoarse. I don’t know what to do. I’m tired of not being able to open my windows. I’m tired of the noise. If this were a neighbor playing music, it would be subject to noise complaints. I just don’t understand.

I’m not quite sure why I’m posting, maybe just to get it off my chest, or maybe to see if others are feeling the same way. I’d love any advice.

My top choices now are Anytime Fitness in Pasadena for $40/month or SnapFitness @$65/month

Featured artists get paid a flat rate per piece and that rate pretty good (but I don't think we have any of those positions open).

We're looking for people who are good at recreating images.

Everything is done by hand in Indian ink, so painting experience is a must.
