PLEASE READ THE RULES. WE HAVE A NO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR CONTRIBUTORS WHO FULFILL [PAID] REQUESTS FOR FREE. DO NOT WORK ON [PAID] REQUESTS UNLESS YOU WERE HIRED TO DO SO. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. IF YOU ARE DOING THIS, YOU WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED. AS A REQUESTER, DO NOT HOLD CONTESTS OFFERING PAYMENT FOR THE BEST FINISHED PRODUCT. IF YOU ARE DOING THIS, YOUR POST WILL BE REMOVED.
MAKING A REQUEST: Rules for Requesters
–––
Actually post an image(s)
We will delete any requests where a poster does not link an image(s). –––
Be polite
A little courtesy goes a long way to the contributors who are fulfilling your request. 'Please' and 'thank you' will suffice.
–––
Guide prices
Want to pay a colorizer to restore that image of someone dear to you? Have respect and pay them an amount that you would pay any professional - otherwise you are devaluing their hard work.

Single portrait or complex image?
Don't assume a simple portrait shot in the studio and an extended family shot featuring 26 people outdoors are the same thing. There is a world of difference between the two - hours can and will turn into days, and make sure your [PAID] compensation reflects this.
–––
Does your image need restoring first?
Colorization requests only please. Contributors may be able to undertake minor restoration work, but please save generic image manipulation requests to /r/picrequests;
–––
Image Quality
For best results, use a scanner to capture images. Cell phone photos of black and white images are often not the best quality for colorizing. And upload your photo to Minus, Flickr, or Dropbox for best results.
–––
[Free] or [Paid]?
Please state in brackets whether or not you want the request to be fulfilled for free by starting your submission with [Free] or [Paid], your submission title, followed by the image resolution, i.e., [1200 x 800]

Please mark any NSFW requests as such;

[Free] commissions
Requests can be fulfilled by any number of contributors. It is the requesters responsibility to ensure that they update their request to show they are satisfied with their request;

Please consider uploading your finished colorized photo to Minus, Flickr, or Dropbox for best results. Imgur compresses files to a low 72dpi;

This button is from Utah in 1965, it stands for Olympics for Utah incorporated or Oui! As a slogan for "yes" in french to promote the 1972 Salt lake city olympic bid. This Button sold 35,000 copies at 1 dollar a piece and funded the olympic bid comittee orchestrated by then governor Calvin Rampton to boost publicity for the growing ski resort industry despite never intending to win the bid.
Hi everyone my mom is 74 years old and recently got Covid and was very sick in the hospital. She is home now and doing better but she broke her arm from a fall because she was so sick. She was hospitalized for a month. She is sad and depressed because she can not work out in her garden until she heals from her surgery. Could someone colorize this picture and maybe sharpen it up. I hope it will bring her some joy. Thank you!

From our photo archives: total solar eclipse over Main Street in Middletown, 1925- the last time a total solar eclipse came to CT! The clock tower of the old Middletown Municipal Building (built 1893, demolished 1961) is on the right. — at Downtown Middletown, Ct.
My grandmother died last year and we spread her ashes last weekend. She was an amazing world traveler who we all miss dearly and I would love to get this amazing photo of her while she was in Greece colorized! I'll pay $10 to the best one.
My grandfather and dad (in his arms) with my uncles. My grandfather would have been 102 today. Came across this photo from my mom and I'd like to get it colorized for my dad and family.
Colorization of this photo of my grandpa from the 1950s. He served in korea. I finally have a place to display his flag and medals so I wanted to have a picture of him in his uniform. And this is the only one my family could locate.
A co-worker's grandfather was on the team. Thanks in advance!
He was born and raised in Harlan County Ky and worked in the coal mines from 1915-1940 except 1918-1921 he served in the Navy during World War I
This is an old photo of a Plymouth dealership from my hometown in the 1960s. I would really appreciate some added color to bring some detail and depth to this picture.
I don’t know if I should post about this, but I would love to see this in color as I’ve tried colorizing it, and have been unsuccessful.
Scanned from an old album. Want to print it to frame and hang on a wall.
Here is an approximate description of the color in the photo according to the grandfather’s description: light wallpaper with pale lilac flowers and a shirt in red and dark blue checks for the child, a sweater of a “very dark brown” color (I’m not sure that he remembers the colors correctly but this is the only source I have)
Hello, I am currently in the process of replicating this sign that was standing in a wwii prisonner camp in France, in order to display it in an historical exhibit.
I have yet to determine if the signs were painted in shades of gray or in colors and in which case, what colors. Anyone's opinion, experienced or not in colorization would be greatly appreciated.
This isn't really a colorization request but if you wanna give it a try it could also be really helpful !
Thank you
