The followings rules and etiquette should be followed when posting in this subreddit:
1. When making a request for a photo to be restored, summarise the request in your title. If you like, you can include more information by submitting it as a text post.

4. Don't spam the subreddit with anything unrelated.
5. Trolling or generally insulting other users will not be tolerated.

old photo
This is the only photo I have of all of my cousins in one frame. Now, one of them is no longer in this world, some are living abroad, some I haven't even seen for ages. This pic holds a great sentimental value for me. The original hardcopy photo was damaged by water few weeks back. Thanks in advance 🙏
As a teen she wanted a pair of Converse as a gift for Christmas. He died in an auto accident (12/11/1970) and in the wreckage were the pair of shoes he was set to give to her. My mom has a few photos of him, but I chose this one to try and have restored. Thank you in advance!
Requesting a restoration on a photograph of James Walter Fairholme, third Lieutenant of HMS Erebus during the Franklin Expedition. I can provide backstory if anybody's interested, but unfortunately I cannot pay. I will however credit whoever does it the best completely and fully on r/TheTerror and wherever else I post the restored version. Thank you so much for your contribution to the history of polar exploration.
Maybe color too, if that's not too much to ask.
Thanks!
My grandma passed away a few months ago and my mom found this picture of her with her mom, but it's very blurry and has some stains. Can you please help make it more clean/clear?
This is the only photo that my grandparents are together. They took photos separately and combined them later. Photo was taken in 1950’s.
Sorry I don’t have any money so can’t make payment but I would be grateful
Can someone please help me restore this old photo of my 3rd great grandmother? It is the only one we have because she died young. Thank you in advance.
Will tip to best work. My friend is 94 and she’s writing her memoir. I have other photos that have melted blue negative and other imperfections, but she doesn’t mind. This is the most important one in her opinion. Thank you.
It’s the only picture of his youth. He was poor growing up and didn’t have access to camera often. He is the one on the left with torn guy’s face. Can be this restored by anyone? Thanks!
Happy to provide a tip
Hello there, I’m posting this because I’m certain user u/Designer_Twist_1646 stole my work from one of my photo submissions, make some changes and submitted again as his own work a couple of hours after I submitted.
I noticed his photo submission share some details identical to mine which should not be possible (I manually added hair texture and other elements) unless he took my photo and make additional changes
Here’s link to original post
https://www.reddit.com/r/estoration/s/OcaWH2zysh
And heres link to photo comparison from my work and his
I circled different elements that match from both photos, which should not be posible for that user to get while working on the original photo. There are hair strand, gaps, hair curls added while I was working on hair texture and I find strange that his photo submission includes the exact same details.
I already reported this to moderators and I’m still waiting for their responses, but I realized u/Designer_Twist_1646 is being paid after stealing my work which I don’t think is fair, so I’m just letting you know so you can be more protective with your work by using stronger watermarks
He was a gangster in the late 1800s in London, Charles Dickens wrote about him and his brothers when he was in the newspaper business. I have also heard that they had drinks together! This is the only photo I have of him, I do not know the origins of it, may even be a mugshot from one of the various times he was arrested I assume.
Thanks!
Beware.
The only photo i have of my grandpa, id like to add color if possible? Thank you 😊
There are some old newspaper drawings of people from the 1890s and early 1900s (before papers started using photos) that I would like turned into photos. I'm interested in an AI program (preferably free since I'm only interested in a few) since this is beyond what Photoshop can do (as far as I know). Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions.
