I only have colored pencils and I’m not very good at blending them yet, but it was fun! 🍄Hopefully I get better :)
I’ve been on Reddit for like 5 years and never looked up coloring. WHAT!?! I thought I’d show off what I’m doing now (well, the last two halloweens…I get bored quick) but had to do it in video form. I took two other videos of some of my favorite pages that I’ve colored. I have a lot of coloring books but my favorites tend to all be from 3 books.
Edit: ugh I can only add one at a time. I’ll post the other two later. I got this book at Aldi btw.
My stripes are awful I know. Tips are appreciated!
So I’ve seen multiple people on here and on insta who use acrylic markers/pens to do their highlighting instead of the Sakura Gelly Rolls.
I’ve got a bunch of gelly rolls and use them with mostly no problems. But there are times where it will just not be as stand out as I’d prefer, or where it absorbs the color (usually bright pinks and reds), even if it’s dried for 24 hours.
So I bought Ohuhu acrylic markers/pens and another brand (forget which one). And when I tried those, it soaked right into the paper when I tried doing my highlights after coloring.
So my question is…. How are you guys getting your acrylic pens to actually do the highlighting? I do the coco wyo type books, so it’s the thinner paper. But I’ve seen other people using the acrylic pens in the same books. I’m just confused as to why it soaked into the paper for me and doesn’t do that for anyone else?
Advice? Tips? Explanations?
Feel free to ask me any clarifying questions.
Thanks!
I was so scared to try it haha, but I feel like it looks pretty good.
Fist time trying a water effect (please ignore my mistakes 🥹)
This was done with regular colored pencils, which I love. I just wish the white pencil would actually work for me. TIA for any tips.
I’ve seen this book quite a bit here and decided to get it; it’s so peaceful to color. 🥰
I'm doing a color by number book with markers. The book requires 24 colors. I'm kind of tired of buying kits of 50 markers just for those 24 colors. Is there a way to buy a kit somewhere with those specific colors? By the way, I dont care about fancy markers, I usually buy just the Crayola 50 packs.
Thanks
Does anyone want to join me for "No Buy November?"
I've done WAYYYY too much hobby shopping the last couple of months and with Black Friday and the holidays (along with my birthday) coming up, I figured it's the perfect time to practice some self-discipline.😅
This will also be a great chance to explore the products and books I already own rather than always looking to the newer/better thing.
Anyone care to join? We can hold eachother accountable 😬
