Colouring Books for Markers and Pens?

I'm having a hard time trying to find a colouring book that is suitable for markers colouring. I've found a lot of wonderful illustrated and well rated books on Amazon, but most of them don't seem to have a suitable paper for the water/alcohol pens - E.g. when you apply the colour, the paint will bleed to the other side of the paper.

Does someone have any recommendation of colouring books suitable for markers that I can find on amazon?

3:30am and I'm awake coloring 🙃

I put off doing this picture for a long time because I really like the illustration and I didn't want to mess it up. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. There are some things I would change but there always is!

From World of Flowers by Johanna Basford. Completed with Prismacolor Premiere and white Posca Pen.

I’ve completed this page. It was fun 😀. But the only thing I’m not very happy about is the court. Anyone has suggestions?

First colored page as an adult

Page from Colors of Inspiration Vol. II book.

I used to love painting as a kid. Recently got recommended mandala books by my therapist and decided to give this one a try instead of the usual mandalas.

Used Castle Arts colored pencils and some markers from Ross.

Any feedback is welcome :)

Creative Haven Belles and Blossoms; Polychromos pencils and Gelly Roll pens

Just posted my WIP earlier today, and then finished the rest of the picture instead of moving onto more productive things as originally planned 🙃 Maybe now that the pic is done I can move on with my life 😅

Crossroad

Just finished what I thought of as phase 2 of the picture - moving into phase 3 with a different color pallete for the flowers (red/purple/orange)

Feline good about this one!

Another great coloring book sent to me for an honest review! Just like Punny Dogs, Punny Cats is just as cute and has great puns for any cat lover. Not too easy or hard to color. I colored this one because it is almost summer and I am "Feline good!"

Alcohol markers (winsor & newton) not drying

Hi everyone! I have a question involving the use of alcoholmarkers on this type of paper. It seems that for me after 24 hours it still happens that when I hit a different already dried color with my marker it keeps smudging like it never really dried :(.

I'm new at coloring and I'm kinda bummed because idk what to do and I don't seem to find a solution online. So I'm hoping someone can help me out!

Also everyone else on the internet says it dries really fast so I'm really confused,it does indeed look dry when I try to rub it with my fingers, but with markers it's a different story.

Is it mainly for sketching things rather than what I try : Print coloring pages on it and fully color those? idk?

I hope I'm allowed to ask this here, if not please tell me where to go so I can copy my post before it's deleted x).

My New Coloring Book – Anyone Else Enjoying It?

Hey fellow colorists! I recently got a beautiful coloring book filled with intricate mandalas. The paper quality fantastic, and I’m excited to start coloring. 🎨 I use pencil crayons so it doesn’t leek thought. But I wondered, does anyone else you this book so I can maybe get ideas of how to colour them. If you do use it, feel free to share your creations in the comments.

Copic worth the upgrade?

Hi all! I currently would consider myself a coloring hobbyist. I have tried out alcohol markers such as Ohuhu and Caliart and have currently a little over 120 Caliarts. While not a huge sale or discount, there is a small sale on Amazon for some Copic markers. I have bought about two individual Copics and I do think they are quite nice, but am having a hard time deciding whether buying a larger amount is really worth the price tag. I am curious as to whether it’s really worth it to purchase, say, a 36 pack to add to my Caliart collection. I mainly use my markers for adult coloring books. I am mainly having a hard time justifying if the price is worth it and how much of an upgrade they really are. Opinions for or against the Copics are welcome :)

Shop Fronts?

I need help- I am obsessed with coloring shop front scenes, but I have exhausted my supply of Creative Haven books. Does anyone know of any other sources for shop front scenes? I’m looking for actual hand drawn images, none of the wonky AI generated stuff please.
