I have a low gpa (3.6UW), but with 12 AP, 10 honors, and overall good course rigor. Additionally I have a 1430 on the SAT and pretty great EC’s (started my own e-commerce business that is quite profitable , president of club & involved in service events, varsity sport, officer of business club, etc). But I’m worried about my chances since I have a few C’s in ap-level classes throughout high school. Yes, I will make sure to explain this the best I can in the additional information section. Both my essays and LOR’s should be quite outstanding. Just wanted to get some insight about my odds and if anyone with a similar situation has gotten in. I make it pretty clear in my app that GT is my #1 choice.

Hi guys, I recently found this small nonprofit called tjp . org, it's dedicated towards tearing down barriers to history which I found really neat. They do a lot of things apparently, but it looks like that they are mostly a history publication like the concord review I guess. To be fair, I only found this out because my friend is an editor there, so I thought I might just share this opportunity for all of you to find! Apparently they raised $200k+ so they are doing really well.

here's a quick rundown of potential topics/my life:

in 10th grade 1st sem my grades plummeted because my mom got really sick with pneumonia during winter about a month before finals and i was really busy taking care of her (i was irrationally scared she would pass away) so i got really stressed out and flunked all of my finals and the tests leading up to finals 💀

dealing with immature older brother (basically i raised him despite being his younger sister which is a strange topic since usually you hear about the older sibling raising the younger sibling)

my grades arent that good because i go to a notoriously difficult school (filled with rich privelaged snobby kids who've never worked in their life lol dont worry i def won't use this language while describing anything💀) while also balancing home life and work

lore behind the philanthropy with my club (brief version: my dad (who passed away from terminal illness right before high school) was one of the patients at said famous hospital and i felt really depressed and lonely whenever i was there so i couldnt imagine how my dad felt when we weren't visiting)

I am from an ok catholic highschool in nyc, and wanted to ask my chances for the ivies + MIT + Stanford. I have sort of double legacy at Harvard, one undergrad that graduated with high honors, one Harvard business school. I also am planning to ED Cornell, and I have a brother that went there and was in the milstein program. I am planning to dual major in computer science(taking as many ai/ml classes as possible) and theology/ethics. Probably 7-8/10? I'm writing about my life in Spain by using one of the pieces I played (Chopin's Ballade No.1 in G minor) as a metaphor for how my life progresses, as in the introduction correlates with my starting years in Spain etc.

Headmaster, Executive Principal (9-10/10): He regularly watches my concerts and came to my 40 minutes one too. We are very close and he says he'll do everything he can to support me, absolutely my favorite staff member.

Invited business leaders, politicians, and other professionals from across the state to get involved in our programs and outreach events.

Paid Environmental Justice Internship at a State Wide Environmental Research and Advocacy Group - Researched how certain laws/permits relating to storm water management affected environmental justice communities in my state and in certain towns. Proposed my findings to various township boards across the state to advocate for better compliance with the permits and to help allocate more funding to environmental Justice communities.

Contributed my data analyses to a machine learning model that will help predict ocean carbon fluxes. Worked on project under a post-doc at t-50 and alongside undergrads at the same t-50.
8. Intern at a political advocacy firm - Was the only high school intern selected. Led all of the other interns on advocacy projects related to taxes, new laws, and government spending. Worked on multiple projects and on presented our work to the board.
9. DECA: 5x ICDC qualifier. Placed as high as 3rd in my state. Did marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship events. Was also a head of some committees in the club but might not include as it’s pretty pointless.
