He thinks he's a pussy for crying. His GF died, His other gf died, he was a nazi slave, and he killed someone out of cold blood give the man a break.
He can't keep getting away with this
AAAAUUHUHUHHUHUHHUH EL CAMINO
I killed her
What's up with the pie man, it ain't cut
Why does walt tell jesse that he watched jane die in Ozymandias ?
To make him angrier ? As a confession of guilt ? For what ? To aggravate him ? but why ?
oh boy is this rough. he won't take a hint and is trying to be so sweet and all over her and she just wants to get away from him. much worse than the happy birthday scene
In the middle of a re-watch and have been formulating a Gus theory that I haven't seen else on here:
Gus lead a left-wing militia group in Chile
I think it explains a few things:
- The name "generalissimo" makes a little more sense in this context. Ex. he's being called this name ironically or it was given to him by the militia group
- Latin American militia groups of all political orientations worked with drug dealers so that could explain the Mexican cartel connection.
- This explains his connection to Peter Schuler who met Gus as a German left-wing terrorist (ex. RAF) who had fled Europe to work with other armed resistance groups (hence the crazy situation in Santiago)
OR...
- Gus is himself a European left-wing terrorist (though not German since he and Schuler only speak English to each other) who fled Europe with Schuler. I feel like this accounts for his accent and occasional awkwardness while speaking Spanish as a non-native speaker as well as his lack of records in Chile.
It was just Walt thinking he's hot shit, his ego was at his most annoying here because it just caused problems, which was different in S5 IMO. It was the overrated "the one who knocks scene". I think it has some of the worst episodes. Thirty-Eight Snub, Open House, bullet points. I could not stand the depressed Jesse era, just not fun to watch. It was sad but it wasn't really my thing. I didn't enjoy watching Walt pester Jesse to kill Gus. Box Cutter was an alright season opener. When Victor died I didn't really care or feel any sort of shock. The Skyler subplot was boring, also MARIE SHUT UP.
EDIT: I shouldn't say season 4 is bad because it's not, but the rest are just better.
Spoiler in case first time watchers haven't gotten to ozymandias
Finishing up another rewatch and just got done with ozymandias. And I somehow forgot about how Walt became filled with pure hate and spite towards Jesse after Hank was killed.
I wanna say that I'm not rooting for Walt. He's an egotistical maniac that deserves nothing but horrible things.
But when Walt, purely out of spite, tells Jesse that he could have saved Jane it is an actual badass villain move. At least that's how I picture a truly heinous person would act, and Walt had clearly gone fully evil by that point.
Telling Jesse that the one person he thought he loved could have been saved but wasn't... that really could be the most evil thing Walt did. I say that assuming that Walt was 100% certain he wasn't going to kill Brock with that poison. And his other actual killings had some sort of "justification." But him allowing Jesse's love to die and then rubbing his nose in it... that's a whole other level of total evil
Rules say no Season 5 spoilers
It must have been a block for Hank to try and work out was Walter White.
How many times do predator hunters catch someone and their family still ignore them. Or similiar?
I know religious quotes don't tend to go well but “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family.” is a really good quote.
I'm a 46 year old father. I have multiple degrees. I have served in Iraq and Bosnia.
But my parents, brother and friends still see me as that skinny 14 year old delinquent.
No matter what shit Walter pulled out, Hank had that preconception of Walter as a meek, NPC type character. He knew criminals and he didn't think Walter could hang with them, let alone be a criminal mastermind. He thought he would be eaten alive by them.
What is this disrespect to Jimmy/Saul? By this point in the story, he’s basically been saving their asses since Season 2 and is basically the first point of contact Walter goes running to whenever things go wrong.
This randomly popped up in my head, and i thought it would be cool. What if there was a scene where Walter, after his death, gets confronted by god himself, and repents of his sins, finally letting heisenberg die out? What would you think of it? I know this sounds kinda crazy, but i still want to hear your opinion
The first season does crucial groundwork establishing the main characters and themes. While it gets you instantly hooked with Walt and Jesse's initial partnership, some consider episodes 4-6 slower but necessary for plot development.
First off, this show has been a total banger. I have watched it twice in 4 years. It's probably the best TV show out there.
During the episode Granite State, when Walt and Saul are sharing a basement at the vacuum repair guy's workshop, they are discussing what course of action Walt could take to hand over the money safely to his family, they are also trying to predict Skyler's fate after judicial proceedings.
During this conversation, Walt mentions that his money goes to his children and he stresses that it's not just this one barrel of cash, but all of it. He made his intentions clear about killing Jack and his crew, and taking back what was stolen from him.
But later, during the season finale Felina, he gives away one barrel cash which he was left with to Elliot and Gretchen to pass on to Junior.
He only made a move when Badger and Skinny Pete tell him that the blue is still selling in the local market and it's still chemically potent as Walt's cook. He's shown to be ticked off by the thought of Jesse cooking Walt's product in his absence which is no surprise given his massive ego.
He puts 2 and 2 together and wrongly assumes Jack and Jesse have partnered up (quite a silly thing to cross his mind because he never understood that Jesse had made it clear he wanted out of this meth business)
Did he think it's not worth it after all to go after those criminals because he couldn't hound them alone? Was he thinking that a minimum of $9.7 million should first reach his family?
Why did he not bother about obtaining the rest of the money BEFORE going to Elliot and Gretchen, and have them pledge for more?
Would he have gone looking for money if he had not been hurt (at the neo-n*zi place)? If yes, how would have this $70 million worth of cash made its way to White family? Or the whole point was to see what could be done about stopping the manufacturing once he's gone?
For a shrewd and greedy guy like him, it's hard to imagine he couldn't take back what he thinks he rightfully earned and owned?
Imo, Walter became too cruel and insatiable in his pursuit of money. Although he regretted it, it was too late. His family being overly emotional doesn’t justify his actions. Even if he claimed to be doing everything to provide for them, he was still very much to blame, and he made Jesse suffer as well
I am at season 2 episode 12 [at the start of the episode]
Walter white is a genius chemist that was a teacher at the start of the story, overqualified to be a teacher. He then goes to one of his boys he used to teach and gets something set up, since the boy has connections and knowledge. He then innovates and expands his operations and when he tries on tuco and they find out tuco is a murdering psychopath, they don't try it again. It is just the risk of business
I believe walter white and jesse pinkman aren't evil characters [yet] and are just entrepeneurs. It just so happens that the product they're selling is illegal. Combo dying was just part of the business, the employee died because he was stupid. It's not their fault, hell even real businesses suffer from this if the employee decides to kill themselves for no reason or gets robbed and someone dies, the business is forever impacted. I believe this show is a true inspiration and shows you the problems of a starting entrepeneur. Walter's family isn't even understanding of him, everyone belittles him, even as he's a genius chemist. To prove them wrong, he has to get even more money and power, so that no one can cross him. Another inspiration that we've seen so far is gus fring, he's really a lowkey humble type of guy, and you can see that at their first talking he's a good businessman, and even gives walter white some advice. The world just likes to bully the characters, especially walter white, with his bitchy wife seducing fucking ted beneke and all. Bitch. And seriously "flynn"? don't even get me started with that, his family is awful and he's doing them a favor
If all he wanted was money to live off of, then he could have quit a long time ago. I mean he owns a restaurant franchise with 14 location I believe and an electric company.
Los pollos hermanos alone would fetch him more than a few million easily. What was his motivation ? I don't mind spoilers
Does anybody here know if in real life, snapping those flip phones in half and taking out their batteries, as we so often see in the show, really prevent people from tracking that phone?
i just finished watching bb for the first time i binged it in like a month, im so sad it’s over lol but it was just as good as everyone said it is. now i have to decide if i wanna watch the movie first or better call saul. any recommendations? no spoilers pls
Looking back, I realized the real issue between Walt and Fring wasn't so much Walt's ego, but the fact that he insisted on working with Jesse. Gus made it clear that Jesse was a liability, and if Walt had followed Gus’s advice and left Jesse out of the picture, maybe they could have had a stable and long-lasting partnership. Do you think that without Jesse, Walt and Fring could have worked together until the end?
I mean S3 has it all, “I’m talking to Ted!”, “Run.” The intro to the superlab, Gail, Gus being cordial but still hinting at malevolence, “I.F.T.” , Sunset, the RV, the Combo flashback, One Minute, etc. I feel like season 3 really hit its stride and the show had this pressure cooker feeling like anything could happen at any moment, and I think that’s the magic of the show. What is your favorite season??
For me, it has been, and always will be:
"I see Walt's tastes in wives is the same as his taste in lawyers: only the very best, with just the right amount of dirty".
God I love Saul.

Edit: title should say “keys scumbag” donk! 😩
I find it so interesting how Walt adapted the hand wave from Snot Trough and he uses it many times throughout the show. It’s kinda of a piece with cutting the crust off sandwiches, holding onto the teddy eye ball. So basically what I’m saying is: did Walt kill Snot Trough back in the day?? I’m joking, but I find people becoming the people around them so interesting and even more so that Walt has adapted the gesture of this random, gross-seeming teacher from way back when. It’s like someone said: you’re an amalgamation of the five people you spend time with the most.
It made me cry and just broke my heart into fragments.. ik it's just a show still how do I cope up and is it okay to be sad or its actually a happy ending???
