[SPOILER] nearly got ROYALLY screwed over by [SPOILER].

Mike and Gus's mock plan for Nacho to get death by firearm. I just realized upon rewatch that IF Victor successfully killed Nacho... the twins would be PISSED. Hector would be PISSED. The twins just an episode or two before shot one of their OWN guys just for merely trying to kill Nacho before he got his torture. I have no doubt if Victor got the shot off, the Salamancas would be pissed at Gus for robbing them of their revenge, and Victor, if not killed, probably would've got the shake down of his life by the Twins.

    No Children

I wonder why Better Call Saul didn't give Chuck,Howard or Jimmy any kids?Saul never mentioned having kids in Breaking Bad but he could have had some with his two ex wives before Kim.Also I wonder why Chuck and Howard didn't have any?

Crossover for anyone with a little time on their hands!

Episode 7 of season 1 of BCS has something in common with episode 2 of Escape At Dannemora, also playing right now on Netflix. I caught it immediately.

Why weren't Mike's guys watching Jimmy and Kim when Lalo came back?

    Did I miss something?

At the dinner Mike tells Kim that they'll keep watching, and to ignore them.

But when Lalo shows up and kills Howard, there's no one watching them.

    Mesa Verde

It was so low of Chuck and Howard stealing Mesa Verde from Kim when she worked her ass off to get that account after Howard demoted her.. even the Kettleman deal she did .. Again he punished her for the Kettlemans leaving.. then Howard took all the credit for the deal she made happen while she was in the camera background …. Howard and Chuck were so wrong about the way they treated her

i think i figured out why chuck is called chuck

it’s obvious chuck was written to be hated but i think his name is another way the writers shat on his corpse, “chuck” is another word for throw, what do monkeys at the zoo do? throw their own shit. with this in mind i think chuck was named after the action of throwing your own shit. i can see this theory being called a reach but as a great man once said, “sometimes if you reach far enough you’ll grab the truth” with this in mind im right. who agrees?

The devil is in the details

So rewatching this show, I’ve noticed more and more tiny details that have made me laugh, added to character development, plot progression, chekovs-gun type situations, or just added to the overall experience.

I was going to make a post about details that I caught for the first time in S4E9 “Weidersehen”, but then noticed even more in the following episode S4E10 “Winner” that really made the viewing experience that much better. This show is done so solidly top to bottom (Bravo Vince), details like the ones I noticed are in every single episode.

What are everyone’s thoughts on progressively going through the series chronologically, one episode a week via a weekly post on a set day, where everyone can share small details they’ve noticed for a particular episode and why they found them impactful? (even if its just something really small that’s funny as hell, like Werner in his crocs WITH black socks pulled all the way up)

Better call Saul is connected to Breaking Bad!

Guys I was watching the show better call Saul. It's about a lawyer named Jimmy McGill, episode one I see this guy who played tuco Salamanca, gotta say he only knows to play one role, not much flow in his acting, a few seasons in I see Gustavo firing with Los polls Hermanos, I thought maybe this must be another role for Giancarlo Esposito, then I remembered oh wait, kid named finger is playing Mike, but Bob is playing McGill. A few seasons in he changes his name to Saul Goodman for advertisement purposes.

Then I see Hank Schrader, and then in the final season I see Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul! And in the finale McGill says "Walter white couldn't have done it without me"

I'm trying to connect the dots, I think this show is a part of the breaking bad universe, maybe I could be wrong.

    Did anyone else notice this?

    Plothole? Wasn't Chuck rich?

Spoiler alert. Don't read anymore if you havnt watched it yet. Why didn't Chuck had tons of money when he passed away. It was proven Jimmy was his only living relative. If he died, Jimmy wouldve instantly become a millionaire. He was more important than Hamlin, who was a rich man himself and Chuck had no kids and he had been divorced for so long, his exwife cannot file for the money he earned on his last years when he was like CEO or smthing. Also chuck seemed like a guy who lived a quiet ordinary life with no luxury at all. Also chuck was a genius it made no sense he just died and nobody became rich.

I wish I appreciated the first couple seasons more.

Breaking bad was my favorite show for years so I was always excited to start watching BCS. I wasn’t really super interested in the first couple seasons when I first watched. But the last 2 seasons made me realize the slow burn is worth it and I could not wipe the smile off my face the rest of the time watching. I almost feel guilty for judging it early and trying to compare it too much to breaking bad. Better call Saul in the end has gave me a satisfaction and comfort that breaking bad could never do.

nacho has to be one of the unhappiest characters I’ve seen in a TV show

constant fear for his own life and that of his family, wedged between two lethal groups of criminals, having to constantly play a perfect act as a double agent without a single slip-up (against the supremely observant and intelligent Lalo no less), subjected to routine physical pain (gets shot twice wtf), pressured to do violent acts that he doesn’t have any particular taste for, constant uncertainty about what’s next for him, never allowed a single moment of leisure or pleasure, seemingly no actual friends (Mike barely counts), no hope of escape of any kind. Truly one of the most miserable fictional characters I have seen

Howard didn't deserve it. He was a great guy. He liked Jimmy.

I really feel bad for Howard. I mean, he liked Jimmy. I don't get why Jimmy didn't like him.

S:5 E:8 Bag Man. Mike made a mistake

Saul wants to bury the money and Mike says he’d never find it. Mike took the GPS tracker from Saul’s car, it was in the fuel cap, before they abandoned it. They easily could’ve buried or stashed the money somewhere and retrieved it later rather than carry it.

    Season 2 sucks

I've been trying to watch bcs because I loved BrBa but it's not like BCS it's like BS. I'm generally patient watching stuff. It's not about going slow, something about bcs is shit. I love the part where Mike and the cartel appear but most part where Jimmy messes up and the whole Jimmy and his brother saga is dragging and choices the characters are making are like "Bruh what? why?". Is this how the show progresses or is it just the first 2 seasons?

ELI5: The financial conflict between Howard and Chuck in Season 3?

Right so let me get this off straight; yes I understand why Howard asked Chuck to retire. He had put up with Chuck's BS for far too long and understood that Chuck was compromised in putting his own interests before the firms.

I'm just a bit confused on what exactly was the difference between Chuck retiring and Howard paying him out. I have literally no concept of how a LLC corporation works, so I don't understand. If Chuck retired, how would he get his 1/3rd share?

Also, if Chuck is a 1/3rd partner, and Howard is presumably the other 2/3rds (since he inherited his share from his father), then who are the other partners? Does promoting someone to be a partner mean that both Chuck and Howard have to give up their valuable shares of HHM? Kim said that she was about to made partner before Jimmy set her career back, for instance.

How was Howard Hamlin meant to be viewed from the creators?

Was Howard meant to be hated like Chuck? Or was he used as a punching bag. Or was he used for the audience to feel sympathy for.

*** Spoilers *** Question about the Columbian nationals hired by Bolsa

We all always see people asking questions nitpicking at the details. Rarely purely for the sake of nitpicking. It's usually during a rewatch, we are overwhelmed by a seemingly unanswered curiosity.

    Anyways.

Tldr; Who did Bolsa believe was responsible for interfering with his plans to take out the Lawyer and steal the bail money?

After Bolsa learned that Lalo made bail he must've immediately reasoned that the plan to take out the Lawyer and steal the bail money didn't go as planned.

Let's assume he handled any loose ends (guy who made the phone calls when the twins left with the money).

He still must've wondered who it was that interfered with his plans. He must've wondered why the Bail took so long (it was probably at least two days late than expected). So during those two days, he was happy thinking the plan was successful. He might've been waiting for a phone call. Just to be sure. But his informants ensured him that Lalo was still behind bars so Bolsa was happy. (I admit I don't know this as an absolute fact).

Bolsa must've been curious about who interfered. It is later revealed that Gus was confident that nothing is traceable to him and that he wants to keep it that way. Bolsa must've reasoned that whoever did it must've been an insider with a lot of manpower. So what was his conclusion?

Walt and Jesse or Jimmy and Kim, who is the better duo, and why?

For me personally, its clearly Walt and Jesse. The way their relationship develops is far more complex and entertaining, and not to mention it is their relationship which directly moves the plot forward and is basically the catalyst to everything that happens in the Gilligan universe. Jimmy and Kim, while being great characters individually, are together just not on the level of Walt and Jesse. I can watch Walt and Jesse arguing all day. They just are so entertaining. While Jimmy and Kim, while I may rewatch episodes revolving around them, I don't really enjoy watching their random clips. Also even in BCS, the aura of Walt and Jesse looms over the entire story, they are this chaotic duo we are always awaiting, who would eventually end everything. Also for me personally, what made BB great was the relationship between Walt and Jesse, I just never had seen anything like it. BCS however, depended on many other things apart from the relationship between Jimmy and Kim. For instance the entire Mike plot which is basically half of the show, is not impacted at all by Jimmy and Kim except in the very end, while in BB everything revolves around Walt and Jesse so they feel more important. This was my opinion. What's yours?

    Ignacio , Lalo

In Breaking Bad, Season 2, Episode 8, in the scene Walt and Jesse have Saul at the grave site… Saul “says it wasn’t me it was Ignacio” and asks if Lalo sent them. This makes no sense since the Prequel Ignacio and Lalo were both killed.

    Just finished the show.

What made him change his mind? Was it the fact that Kim decided to say everything, and that's what changed his mind. I guess he just sits in prison now until he dies. Also what ice cream thing was he talking about in the plan or was that the BS he was saying.? What did y'all think of the show ?

    It's the little things

Kim picking up the trash can after Jimmy beats it to hell. Then sweeping up after their beer bottle party, when she could've blown it off like Jimmy did. It's how someone who was forced to become an adult while still a child might behave.

    Just so good.

Or maybe it's the weed talking.
