Here's a photo of the gas tank before restoration. It needed it to go with a Johnson outboard that's why there is a logo change. Exact same tank. Both made by OMC. I bought the correct spray paint and logo from NYMarine.
I bought a 60-year-old vintage gas can for my '60 boat. It was chipped, dented, rusted inside, and had a hole in it. Soldered the hole, treated to the inside, bondo the exterior and finished off with rattle can paint. Couldn't be happier with the result.
2008 tahoe q5i 4.3 mercury beeping 2 times
Im currently looking at buying a used tahoe boat . I went out to test ride with the owner and it rode well on the water. It reached speeds around 50 mph and seemed to be running very good. Out of nowhere it made 2 beeping sounds from around the steering wheel. I asked him what that was and he said he wansn’t sure and that it might have been the depth finder from being near a shallow spot in the water. It made sense but i did some research and its saying its a minor engine check alarm. Should i buy this boat? Do y’all think there is something wrong with it? Needing advice as this is my first boat i will have ever purchased. I don’t want to be screwed out of the money.
I will note he told me that he believes it needs a new fuse box for the interior and that he recommends i install it before going out on the water a-lot. Thanks in advance.
I see it’s Italian lol.
