I know Beach House has talked about scoring films before, but they still haven't to this day? Am I correct on that? That collaboration would be amazing! I know they want to. They already take so much from film/tv (I.e: "It is happening again"). I also realize that moving into that space would probably be very jarring for the band. They seem to write their music in a improvisational way– yet they are very specific and controlled in their sound– so, maybe that's why they haven't attempted it. I assume it would be expensive to collaborate with them? In my dreams they would score a production of a stage play.

Also, side note: When's the next Beach House album coming? I want them to explore further into what they did with 7. 7 has an aspect of electronic that their other albums don't. I just realized this, but imagine them working with Lana Del Rey. They would NEVER. But I think Lana and Victoria's vocals would go nice together. Their sounds are sympatico, obviously. They are both artists who are very specific to world building sounds.

In my mind, Days of Candy is the sequel to PPP from the other person’s perspective. Haha, what does everyone else think? Are there any songs you feel connect in some way?

I discovered it by accident. To be honest, I'm a huge fan of their self titled album but clearly I never listened to it from the begining to the end. So I was listening to it on LP and was half asleef when the music faded for, I guess more than a minute, so I thought nothing much of it but then the piano came and I was astonished that I never noticed it. Btw, is that Victorias voice?

This might be a bit random, and it doesn’t matter either way, but I’m curious how many people you’ve met who recognised Beach House on the 2011 mixtape House of Balloons. He sampled Master of None and Gila. I kind of use this as a litmus test of sorts to gauge someone’s taste in music. If they pick up on it, then I know they’re dialled into some good stuff.

Personally, I'd love another 7-type (The run from Dark Spring through Lemon Glow is amazing) or Depression Cherry-type (Days of Candy is #1). I love the more raw sounds in Dark Spring, Lemon Glow, Sparks, and Levitation. The Become EP had some amazing sound too. So what are direction are you hoping for?

This is my new favorite song by them. I think the lyrics are about a beautiful love story that might be falling apart. At least that’s my interpretation from the lyrics, but I might reread them to see if I get smth else from them. Anyway, every time I listen to it, it feels like the song is telling me “happy birthday, my friend” in the most comforting way possible. I’m curious to see if anyone else feels this way when they listened to it?

I've always loved “Alien”, but I can't quite wrap my head around the intention behind the writing. I would love to read everyone’s interpretation of the song :)
