The city of Duisburg has committed an investment of 1.1 million euros to establish a new training facility for the American football team, Rhein Fire. This investment aims to provide the team with state-of-the-art training amenities and support their growth and performance. The new facility will be equipped with modern infrastructure to enhance the team's training experience and help them achieve their competitive goals.
Rhein Fire, which plays in the European League of Football (ELF), has been striving to improve its training conditions to match the professional standards of the league. The new facility is expected to play a crucial role in this development. With this investment, the city of Duisburg demonstrates its support for the team and its commitment to promoting sports and physical activities within the community.
The opening of the new training facility will be a significant milestone for Rhein Fire and its fans. It represents a step forward in the team's journey towards excellence and success in the league. Construction will start in early 2025.
Rhein Fire is also looking for a Head Office in Duisburg and in talks with the Seattle Sea Hawks to provide a Flag Football Facility in Duisburg.

13 Ints in 33 games for 201 Int yards and 2 TDs. These are the stats of Goran Zec, who actually retired after the 2023 season.
But... ZEC IS BACK!
The ballhawk will make his comeback for the Enthroners in 2025!

So far there hasn't been much left of the good-sounding sentences of the new boss at Berlin Thunder (all players stay etc) :)
He confirmed that on Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/p/DC-GGkfxGql/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Not a huge surprise as rumors about his retirement were spreading since months.
Second big loss for the Musketeers in a week span
The Prague Lions have signed CB Ja'len Embry for the 2025 season. After Galaxy, Raiders and Bravos, this is already his fourth team in the ELF. The A-import will certainly help the Praguers in defense.

Hi everyone!
I’m a Sport Studies student currently working on my bachelor’s research project, and I need your help. My goal is to better understand the preferences and needs of Dutch sports fans, especially those living in the southern Netherlands, to improve the match day experience and increase attendance at Rhein Fire games.
If you’re a sports fan living near Eindhoven, Venlo, Nijmegen, or other border cities, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Your input will help shape strategies to make attending Rhein Fire matches more exciting, accessible, and enjoyable for fans like you.
The survey takes just a couple of minutes, and your feedback is incredibly valuable. You can participate by clicking the link below:

If you’ve ever attended a Rhein Fire game (or wanted to but haven’t), your insights are exactly what I’m looking for. Plus, by participating, you’ll contribute to my bachelor’s research while helping Rhein Fire connect with more Dutch fans.
Thank you so much for your time! If you have any questions about the research, feel free to ask in the comments—I’d be happy to share more details.
Coach Marc Mattioli has just announced his resignation to the Musketeers' players. The news will be published shortly.
So this is the ominous new investor that has been talked about for several weeks.
D2D4 is a small private equity company based in Bremen, Germany.

"D2D4's investment is a huge win for the European League of Football. Klaus Meier and his team not only bring capital, but also valuable know-how and a strong network to our start-up. He will help us to further develop the league in all areas and tap into the enormous potential of European football. His commitment also underlines the attractiveness and growth potential of the European League of Football”, says ELF Managing Director Zeljko Karajica.
"The ELF is one of the most exciting projects in European sport, it has convinced us with its vision and dynamism as well as its continental and innovative approach beyond sport. We see great potential in the league - both in sporting and economic terms. American football has a rapidly growing fan base in Europe and we will contribute to further igniting this enthusiasm and establishing the ELF as an attractive brand as part of a long-term partnership", says "D2D4" Managing Director Heinz Kierchhoff.

The German American Football Association came to the decision to sack their national coach after the national assembly and “a clear vote by the state associations”.
The search for a successor will now begin again.
The background to the story is that Shuan Fatah will be active in the ELF as HC of the Hamburg Sea Devils in the coming season.
He is now officially a free agent.
Unofficially, I would expect to see him with Rhein Fire soon.
What match ups are people interested in/hoping for the 2025 season? Personally I am hoping to see Madrid vs Paris as well as Nordic storm vs Rhein fire.

Well, everyone knows what a dump of a platform Twitter/X has become, that's not new.
Attempts to move the ELF bubble to another place in the past have not been successful.
In the meantime, however, Bluesky has evolved considerably. There are currently around 1 million new users per day.
I have therefore decided to use ELFpedia more there and initially less on Twitter/X until I close the account there in a while.
There are arguments for and against other platforms like Insta, Threads, Mastodon, but I think Bluesky is the most accessible for everyone.
We would be happy if you would also decide to move your ELF activities to Bluesky!
