Most of the wine bar listings I've seen show that they close at 10. Any recommendations for wine bars in the city of Los Angeles or LA county?
Im thinking about college and I’m planning to choose Los Angeles to study! I’ve already been six times and it really feels like a second home to me. I have decent grades, and am planning to have better ones in my advancing years in highschool. What are some college options that won’t require 20/10 grades?
Hi, so we put in a maintenance request for the area under the kitchen sink to be checked for mold as it looked suspicious, even though we were assured it’s not mold; that was about 10 days ago. Now it’s been three days since we moved in, we noticed there’s a leak that’s worsened over the course of yesterday and today, there’s a damp/musty smell, and maintenance still hasn’t come despite a new request being made. It definitely visually looks like mold now, with black spots and one green one. It’s even on the hose that connects to the built-in dishwasher too.
I want to ask if anybody has dealt with a similar situation and what you did to solve it, especially in regards to communicating with your landlord? It says online the landlord has 30 days to address it but the leak seems to be picking up speed, and the mold is developing. I’m chronically ill and worried for my health. Landlord is aware of the problem but I believe our concerns are not being taken seriously enough. Thank you in advance
Hi, are the flowers from the Flower District more affordable and worth making the drive for? I specifically wanted a bouquet for Mother’s Day.
I’m graduating next week and I want to have a chill day drinking Saturday. Looking for chill vibes, good prices, and local in la. Thanks for the recs?
Anyone know where I can find these? I have gotten purple sweet potatoes from whole foods, but I am looking specifically for the Okinwawan one with the white skin. If anyone knows where I can find this I would greatly appreciate it!
My buddy is looking for a new barber after his goto moved. He is early 30s, ethnically Indian with thick and wavy dark hair. He wants a fly style but isn’t down with fades and bald cuts. Any recs within 10 miles of West Hollywood? Price isn’t an issue
Know it’s always a pain somewhat, but was it noticeably worse or less efficient to get in during that time? Were there any major changes at any point? Thanks!
I'm still under a clinic directly with DHS but they're closing down next month, I also have 1 more meeting w/ my doc. But they were super quick and keen on getting me onboard all in the phone. Sent them my insurance details (just on medical lacare) & will talk to doc tomorrow.
Apparently, they're all just teleheath. This would really help me as I would always travel around just to get my sleep aids & prescription meds (stimulants) and all I need is to get on the phone with them and they just send in a prescription to my cvs. It all sounds too good to be true. The only thing I read about them is how their telehealth therapy takes a long time to get appts. Anyone with them satisfied with their service? Did they have issues with your insurance?
Yooo anyone 23+ play Pump it up?? (Im a 23 female) two weeks ago i tagged along to try out piu on vacation in my home town with my best friend and dude im hooked… now listen im not anything major just solid level 6 but starting to tap into 7s 😎

I'm seeing the Groundlings tonight at 7:30 and not going to eat until after the show. I'm looking for a place to grab a bite in the area for $25/person or less. Where do you suggest for good food and vibes at an affordable price? Italian is always a good bet. My boyfriend loves sushi and I love Thai or Indian, but I'm open to any and all options.
I know this is a needle in a haystack, but I had a custom contemporary men’s fashion place tab open in my browser, and of coarse, lost it on a reboot.
It wasn’t just a custom suit place, but more of a fashion place. It seemed much more contemporary than the standard blue/black/wedding suit kind of place.
The only thing I remember from the website was that there was a black guy in front of a white building (super helpful, I know…).
I’m visiting LA soon, and would love to be able to find this place. Any ideas?
Hello I have NEVER been to LA and am going in the next month for a show in the Hollywood area. I've traveled many places over my life and stayed in hostels in Europe and was wondering about the safety/vibe of the ones in LA?
Should I stay in the Hollywood area?
How far are other areas like Burbank/Beverly Hills with actual local traffic?
Are there local buses that are fairly straightforward to use?
For a Mon/Tues/Wednesday what activities/events do y'all recommend for someone who loves art, music, culture, that AREN'T mainstream or touristy?
FYI: I love to "feel" local when I vacation, I don't like to hop around a million places to see it all, I just want a nice chill 3 days where I get to walk around, have a nice lunch or coffee. See some free stuff, some paid stuff, etc.. I usually use Facebook events to scower events in smaller towns around me but LA is so big I figured I could just pick a good location to stay and then just explore that area! Let me know if I am wrong lol.
Thank you so much!
Since Covid, all of the places I relied on for cool clothes either closed or changed their style and I am in dire need of new clothes. I like alternative brands like UNIF. Anyone have any recommendations???
Do you have a neurologist you love? I recently moved and got new insurance, and I am looking for a neurologist to help me manage my migraines. I am located in Southern LA county near the OC line. My new plan is good quality so I have a lot of choices that are in network for me. Open to longer travel times to get to someone good! Thanks!
Hello!
I’m looking for a place to go dancing that has music like Robyn, Avicii, Afrojack, the songs that you would dance to in college (think 2008-2014 era). I’m on the west side so it would have to be a place you can Uber to from miracle mile area please!
Anyone have recommendations? Somewhere fun and vibey where the music is good and the drinks aren’t $50.
Thank you 🫶
I found out my landlord historically refused to return security deposits to the last 2-3 tenants where I am currently renting. I only found out after I signed the lease. I reached out to the previous tenant who told me that other previous tenants took the landlord to small claims court, and won. However, when they tried to garnish his wages and have the sheriff's office try to serve our landlord, he kept filing to delay. He owns several rental properties, and it seems like no tenant has received their security deposits.
I'm planning to move out next month at the end of my lease. Can I use my security deposit to pay my last month's rent? My lease contract specifically says I cannot do this, but what would be the legal ramifications if I try? Is there anything else I can do to make sure I get my security deposit back? Thanks.
Hello, my yard is overrun with weeds and I live in the valley, so could I make a small fire to remove many of them quickly? I live in a very suburban area with a larger yard.
I been seeing this specific parking lot rooftop with these grilled/rowed cover/shades above it that create lines in the shadows. Everyone seems to be taking car photoshoots there and I'm wondering where it's at?
Hi! We’re going to an event today and shuttling there from the LA Zoo area - might get there a bit early, so wanted to maybe grab some drinks in the area before the event. Does anybody have some recommendations for some cool/fun places to check out in that area? :)
Hey fam.
Canelo Álvarez 🆚 Jaime Munguia is gonna be good in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. Does anyone have a recommendation where we can watch the fight and circumvent the $89.99 streaming fee?
Taking recommendations anywhere in Los Angeles. Will be fun to cheer with strangers 🍻
Ok so I've decided to drive in LA as it appears my girlfriend doesn't want to take public transport.
This means I don't have to stay in a hotel in downtown LA and it can be a bit further out.
Can anyone recommend a good hotel that isn't too far from downtown with parking? Preferably free parking if possible.
We are planning to visit the following:
Disneyland
Hollywood sign
Walk of fame
Santa Monica Pier
Shopping outlets
Assuming it does?
?
I can’t find any record of it online and the name is escaping me. I never went, but had read it was a local’s favorite spot. Had a good burger you could get with a glass of red wine at the bar. Anyone remember?
You've exhausted some of the cheaper options for sleeper sectional couches at Living Spaces and Ashely, where would you look next? I want to sit on them and test them myself, so not super interested in online only options.
I moved into this apartment at the start of the year, thinking that I would move into a bigger place later down the road. But this apartment is actually fantastic, affordable and with the D-line subway extension, I can stay long term without needing my car.
Problem is, my rent will automatically go up $500 by the end of the lease. It's market rate for the area which I can afford, but I really would like to find some way to keep my current rate since it would be incredibly inconvenient to move out. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can convince the leasing office to maintain the current rent? Wishful thinking, I know.
I frequented this place many times between 2010 and 2016 and I know it closed in 2017. I understand the pandemic may have delayed a reopen, but what is the current issue? I also can't see why it closed in the first place. It was very expensive and always very busy. I find it hard to believe it wasn't a money maker. When I first became a fixture, the famed Carolynn Spence was still the chef. Her pistachio cake & ice cream was phenomenal. So what's the real story ?
Hi all, I will be moving to DTLA soon and looking for an apartment. Both of these fit my budget for a studio (under 2000). Has anyone had experience renting from either of these places? How is the safety, maintenance, amenities, location, etc.? Thank you!
