Thinking to get into jdramas after watching years of kdrama and cdrama. Please recommend the must watch! I enjoy romcom & crime the most. Thanks!
Can you recommend the most heartbreaking K-drama !!
I want one where the main character's life is super sad and full of sorrow in every episode, all the way to the end...
(But not one that include crimes or killers and I don't want the main story to be about the struggles of love.)....
This drama is an example of how a single act of kindness can spark a ripple effect that transforms lives. Yoon Jeong Jae’s decision to help Kim San Ha and Kang Hae Jun ultimately brought him immeasurable kindness in return, a beautiful testament to how one step can inspire countless others. If Yoon Jeong Jae hadn’t taken Kim San-ha in when he did that child might have grown up withdrawn, burdened, and stoic. Instead, he became a confident, compassionate doctor who carried that kindness forward. Kang Hae Jun’s story was another highlight, his quiet empathy deserved more screen time. Overall the drama was decent, but it didn’t quite reach the depth of the Chinese version. For someone who hasn’t seen the original, the Korean adaptation might still feel solid. One of the biggest letdowns was Kim San Ha’s mother’s lack of character development, her arc remained stagnant which felt especially disappointing given how impactful the Chinese version made her.
I've been starting to step away from too many subscription services since it's annoying to see content go away when you were planning to come back to it. I just want to know people's experience with seeing shows rotate out quickly or not like they seem to do often on other regular services (Netflix, Hulu, Prime). Thanks!!
Puede alguien decirme si el mini drama chino Ha caído el hombre dominante disponible en la aplicación "GoodShort" se encuentra en YouTube?
Can anyone tell me if the Chinese mini drama The Domineering Man Has Fallen available on the "GoodShort" app is on YouTube?
I am trying to find the title of a Korean movie I came across that has a ml and fl who is a teacher who have a one night stand. However, they soon realized someone might have recorded their rendezvous. They decide to work together to figure who did it and why? I think the movie was listed as a romantic comedy?
Hello, I'm looking for some dramas in which the king or prince has no power and secretly tries to regain authority.
I’m watching when the phone rings on Netflix and just finished episode 3. I’m actually really happy Sa-eon admitted that Hee-joo is his wife. This show has so many twists and turns that it keeps me waiting every week for a new episode
Ummm is anyone else watching this?? The first two episodes are on Netflix and I’m already hooked
Dramacool, the go-to site for Asian drama lovers worldwide, announced it would be shutting down, marking the end of a decade-long era. The bombshell was dropped via the site’s official X account, confirming the closure of five linked platforms: Asianc, Dramanice, Watchasia, Runasian, and Asianwiki.
Citing copyright concerns as the reason for the shutdown, Dramacool offered little else in explanation.

there's about 30 asian dramas that i really wanna start watching, but i dont know where to start (and maybe lmk if some of them just aren't worth watching)
Hey y’all so I finally watched my first ever asian drama. It was ‘only for love’. I only started watching it after watching a tik tok edit. I really liked the second couple with the professor and his student who is male lead’s niece. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a show with the same storyline. The storyline basically being that the girl is in love with an older guy and the guy is reluctant to entertain the idea of dating. And with a happy ending and a finished show for sure. Thank you!!!
I remember watching this lakron with my mom was I was very young (probably between 2006-2013), but all I can remember is that there was this woman who was beautiful and her look was jet black hair and red lips, she had a husband and had a kid or maybe two with him, but she was a raging alcoholic and that led to them separating. I think she remarried and had another kid but her second oldest(?) child ended up taking care of her and the house responsibilities as well as his younger sister since the mom would just drink and hook up with guys all day/night. Eventually the child left and studied to become a monk. The mother continued to drink so much to the point that she is unable to communicate or take care of herself at all and basically behaves just like a wild monkey. At the end, she dies and her son a young monk that attends her funeral.
Thanks again :D
Hi guyss!!. I just started watching the ongoing k-drama 'When the Phone Rings', and I'm absolutely hooked on its unique mix of arranged marriage, suspense, and thriller elements. Their dynamic is filled with tension, subtle caring moments, and a lot of mystery. I'm loving it, but currently there are only two episodes out. I cant wait, so i wanna watch something similar.
I really love:
I'm looking for similar dramas with these vibes. Bonus points for:
I’m more interested in Kdrama and cdrama. Please dont recommend Thai dramas.
Thanks in advance :)
I can not for the life of me find it again. I binged it like crazy on YouTube which is how I discovered it but it’s like it’s gone. I don’t care where I have to go to watch it again, I’ll happily pay, but I can’t remember the name!
The main character is a photographer for models. Her boyfriend moves to the city and they’re long distance until he calls her saying she needs to move in to keep a leash on him.
!!!!SPOLIERS!!!!
His coworker has no shame and moves in to their empty apartment room to get closer to him, and he eventually cheats and gets her pregnant, forcing him to leave his girlfriend. The girlfriend ALSO finds out she’s pregnant but he doesn’t believe her and she doesn’t tell anyone except her best friend. She also leaves her job (boss is a rich asshole who likes her). Her parents don’t hear from her for a while and decide to surprise her with a visit which is how they find out about their granddaughter.
!!!!END OF SPOILERS!!!!
The intro shows basically the entire show lol and the whole series was in a YouTube playlist which is how I discovered it. If anyone recognizes this please comment! Thank you!
I’m not against high school Asian dramas, but I’m also 28 now. So I am looking for dramas with two adult mcs and one is a bad boy?
Like maybe in a gang, mafia, or even he just simply troubled from a bad background.
does anyone know where to watch the chinese drama called the first half of my life? i’ve been searching everywhere and can’t find it :(
I'm Somewhat new to Asian dramas compared to many -Frustrating when the 2ML is so great, so much more then ML and FL just gets with ML.
OR!!! leaving the guy altogether to be alone or with a friend (I found ones like that but can't recall the title.. I think it has the FL sent back to the past and she was a doctor, ML was a jerk, she left with her loyal maid... But I could be confusing it with another).
Story recs can be boyslove, girls love, or male x female.
Love stories where the ML/ guy is the 'villian' but is actually the good guy, treats FL well, and chooses her over saving the world.
Or he doesn't even have to be the villian, he can just choose his love interest over the 'higher' noble calling/duty, whatever.
Stories where the ML is mean/ evil to everyone else but his love interest
Maybe the villian saves the girl and just destroys the 'good guys' or everyone who treated her poorly.
Basically, Im also looking for stories with 'He fell Harder ', regardless of when she fell lol
Bonus.... Just good kdramas or cdramas or cdramas with boyslove /homosexuality ....
I feel like I've seen a lot of Thai BL etc, but recs are still welcome... Just trying to find k/j/c boyslove dramas (preferably that are good).
-Bonus 2- the male love interest is just the right amount of protective/possessive/controlling/toxic/dominant to love interest but not excessive.
Bonus 3- weird love story genres that I might not even know about. Like FL ends up with a dragon, they cannot be intimidate but their intellectual or emotional bond makes them life partners.
Bonus 4- .... Fan fiction? Original written fiction similar to these rec requests?
Bonus 5- stories similiar to Dexter (US) where the good guy/ lead is a serial killer .... But kind of in a good way? Like a vigilant who goes after bad guys.
If romance then the love interest agrees with his mission and could even start helping him.
I do like fantasy or historical genres (visuals!) but my search is already so rare and specific that it doesn't even matter.
Fav story thus far was the Fairy & Demon ..
Babe (BL Thai drama?) was ok but I didn't like that his boyfriend was so unnecessarily secretive and hid everything. Babe was a cute character.
THANKS SO MUCH!!
Honestly, I feel like the Chinese version is way better
I mean, it doesn't make sense for 40 episodes to be squeezed into just 16. I did like the Korean version, yeah, but it feels like everything’s rushing, and they cut out a lot of the drama.
Im watching Family by choice and just finished episodes 8&9 so needless to say I’ve been bawlin and boohooin for the last 2 hours. I just wish they’d all tell each other what on their minds.
I remember downloading it in the early 00’s but remember nothing but it being named Pretty Girls or something along those lines. I remember it being a Japanese drama…
Please suggest asian dramas with "she fell first, he fell harder" tropes. Much better if Kdrama or Lakorn. Looking forward to you recommendations!
Hi, everybody!
Yesterday I think, I began to watch finally, the "Legend of Fei" TV series, and I was searching the age of the actors, and saw that Zhang LiYing is TEN YEARS OLDER than her co-star ... and I thought that was bad.
In one scene he says something like: "call me "older brother"", and I was laughing about that, because imagine calling "older brother" a guy TEN YEARS younger than you, LOL. ... XD ...
So I was wondering, how old are the characters? They are supposedly the same age? Or is he supposedly to be even a bit older than her?
Thank you! (and sorry for bad english)
Best regards from Guadalajara, Jalisco, México!
