I'm an anime fan since I was a kid and I got really interested in japanese slice of life movies. I have researched a couple and I want to ask your opinion and rate a few that I found.
Even if the love disappears tonight
The last 10 years
Your shine in the moonlight
We made a beautiful bouquet
Impossible to Imagine
Anyone know where I can watch this movie online?? Cant seem to find it anywhere. Thanks!
"The Court’s Dragon" (Original title: "法廷のドラゴン") is a drama Japanese TV series which premiered on January 17, 2025 in Japan and available for streaming on TV Tokyo.
A kind-hearted lawyer runs a small law office that he inherited from his late father. Dedicated to his clients, he always puts their needs first, but his firm is struggling and on the brink of closure. One day, at the courthouse, he encounters a mysterious woman who hands him an envelope predicting the outcome of his case. To his surprise, her prediction is completely accurate. Intrigued by her abilities, he offers her a trial position at his law firm, despite her lack of legal experience.
She once aspired to become a professional shogi player, but an unforeseen incident led her to take a different path—law. Now, using the strategic skills she honed through shogi, she navigates legal battles in unconventional ways, bringing a fresh and unexpected approach to solving cases. Source AsianWiki
Lately, I’ve been having a hard time finding a dorama that really clicks with me. For reference, here’s a list of dramas I’ve loved: Hanzawa Naoki, Cold Case, 1 Litre no Namida, Gekokujo Kyuji, Ikiru Toka Shinu Toka Chichioya Toka, Code Blue, Unnatural, Brush Up Life, Nagi’s Long Vacation, Naotora, Nagatan to Aoto, Neechan no Koibito, Kansatsui Asagao, Nigehaji, Iari Mienai Kao, and MIU 404.
I’m really craving something as good as these! If you have any recommendations that fit this vibe, I’d love to hear them.
If you want to watch serious drama with violence i recommend this .
It stars Kubozuka Yosuke

Ranting is therapeutic 😂
What's the most frustrating Jdrama you've ever watched? Where you're pulling your hair out because you can't understand why or how people act the way they do in the drama.
For me there's only one pick, Love Revolution (Esumi Makiko, Fujiki Naohito, Yonekura Ryoko). It's like if you take the people from Long Vacation and make each of them as unlikeable and illogical as possible. I didn't mind the potential love triangles/rectangles as we know it can be a beautiful, charming, funny work like Long Vacation and Quartet. But oh man, Love Revolution was just a dramatic mess where no one communicates, everyone is an ass, and the FL who's the only one semi not asshole, hangs around asshole peers way too much she definitely needs therapy by episode 6. The cast and music were beautiful, but none of that could save the disaster that was the script.
A shame as Esumi Makiko and Yonekura Ryoko were GORGEOUS.
What's your pick for the "most annoying drama" award?
Who is this? Is he Kiritani Kenta? I need to know the actor's name please! It's near the end of ep.1
20 mins in and I’m already a mess..🥺
Do y’all, sometimes love the soundtrack from a drama so jiffy that y’all look it up? I used to do this a lot. Last night at work I had YouTube open. This played in one of those generated playlists. It’s from a 2011 drama I completely forgot I’d watched. It has me wanting to watch it again lol. Given that it’s been 14 years, it’s going to be like I’m watching for the first time again.

This is a fun show with fortune tellers talking to japanese actors and other personalities. I don't know some of them but jdorama fans may find the show fun. First chapter is with boys from 'the boyfriend' reality show. Just passing along the info!
I can't find anything about this new Netflix series online. It just aired in the US on Netflix, but only one episode, and there's no indication of a future episode. 🤔
I'm new to jdorama world, have only watched a few. Can someone pls recommend any good rom com drama with best friend to lovers story?? Not necessarily childhood friends. I don't really watch highschool romance drama so the FL and ML must be in the working force or college.
Something similar to "Because This is My First Time" (kdrama) or "Pinocchio" (kdrama).
Thank you so much!!!
who's watching this ongoing J-drama right now?
yay Suzu Hirose is one of my fav Japanese actress after she portrayed the Live Action version of Chihaya (Chihayafuru is one of my fav anime wayback it aired).
Can anyone suggest any drama/movie starring her?
Just watched AARO and realized the FL was Suzu's onee-chan 🤣
I'm rewatching the 2023 live adaption of Ao haru ride, and one thing I like the most about this series is how aesthetically pleasing it is and how soft and dreamy the coloring and ambiance are, are there any other similar Jdramas with that exact aesthetic? It doesn't matter if it's a romcom or not
I saw this few years ago but I cannot find it anymore. In one of the episodes, girl and the boss accidentally see each other in a bar (or restaurant), and we see how not only do they behave very similarly, but they also talk about the same things with their friends.
It wasn't not about romance or anything close to that. It's a very funny show and I want to see the rest of it.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Edit: The actress who portrayed the boss looked like Matsushita Nao.
Looking for a dorama and unsure where to find it? This is the place for you...
So there’s this show on Viki called “The Leaking Bookstore” and I want to watch it(which I will eventually) but I wanted someone to tell me what do they think about it
Wondering if they do the same as C-dramas where beauty filters are heavily used, and even if so, whether they are used more sparingly and discretely. It seems to me that J-dramas use much less filtering for a natural look (I could be wrong).
The name of a jdorama escaped you? Post here for help and hopefully someone can help you.
Remember to post as much information as you possibly can! More information, more answers!
I want to start the show but not before it’s finished due to the duration being 20 minutes each ep and I couldn’t find anything about when it will be done airing(I suck at finding information) so if any of y’all could tell me I’d be so grateful.!!!
Thank you in advance
Abit weird to see fairly new show and even concurrent released drama like Tokyo Salad Bowl and Hot Spot on worldwide streaming service...
It's good for us but why sudden change of minds? Suddenly want to compete with kdrama? Kdrama already got 10 years head start from them...
