Ok, so first of all, please don’t try to tell me the dangers of what im about to ask, as i already somewhat know. So, people say rubbing alcohol is toxic to drink, but is that because of the high alcohol content? Or something in the rubbing alcohol? As far as i can tell they say they put additives in the rubbing alcohol to make it taste chemical-like, so people wont drink it. But is there anything really dangerous about it other than the high alcohol? I know isopropyl and ethanol are different, but if i were to dilute the isopropyl with a bunch of flavors and water, would it be drinkable and safe? If it didnt taste so terrible would it just be like everclear? A lot of pages say the issue is alcohol poisoning, which is a problem with everclear as well. Lets say 100 ml of 75% isopropyl mixed with 650 ml of flavoring and water, would that be safe? So again, i know it sounds stupid and dangerous, but i just want some legitimate answers. Thank you.
I have maybe around 40 bottles in total.
30 or so being whiskey/bourbon, 10 tequila, and 1 bottle of brandy and vodka.
Hey all, it's currently gone 5am here and, as is the case any time I drink, I'm making revelations. Aside from realising I probably lack love (aromantic? Broken? Who knows?!), I'm also realising that after starting on antidepressants, the horrible mood swings I get into from it are gone because everything is in moderate levels, like a normal person. Problem is, this means I can push it and experience many less repercussions! And I know that's a pathway we can't push because if we make it to the point I was about a month ago while drinking and on sertraline, that's a dangerous point when sober. Like... Second police pick up levels of dangerous if they get to me fast enough (long story, thankful it happened though). I don't want to stop, just learn to say to my brain "hey, pack it in, you're okay". This is surprisingly difficult recently, I've been a lot more impulsive (probably some form of neurodivergence) and any hit of dopamine/serotonin/something that makes me feel happy is causing my brain to latch on and cry if it's taken away. What makes this more complicated is I can go months without drinking, like ill pick it up, be happy as Larry, wake up next day and can't be asked with it all. All I want is a way to say to myself "we're fine here". Idk if anyone else has had similar experiences, or understands what the hell I'm talking about, but... I'm beginning to scare myself with how well I'm doing, and I don't want to push my luck. I don't want to risk anything again. No more stupid acts that could get me killed. Just learn to say that enough is enough and stop myself when I can.
Hi um I was feeling really suicidal so I snuck into the garage and took 3 sips of my dad's natural light. For reference I'm college age 5'0 and 98lbs female Earlier this year I thought my dad had a cup of diet coke so I took a big drink, but it was actually captain morgan. Nothing happened that night and I didn't feel weird at all I don't want to throw up or be sick I have two important classes tomorrow will I be okay?? Do I need to drink or eat anything to get it out???
I’m wondering what is too much ik it depends on gender size and metabolism. I am a guy I am 6’4 about 180lbs and my metabolism is very fast always has been. A few days ago I had n energy drink and every drink I had some Tito’s with it did it last night and didn’t feel anything also I have not been hungover I try to drink triple in water of whatever amount of I’m drinking that’s seems to help!
When I try to buy some alcohols, sometimes the stuffs at the liquor shop wanna check my age, even I am already 24 lol Did anyone experience like this?
Had two of these shitty cocktails cause I needed a buzz. What are y'all drinking tonight?
I always wanna have a 3rd, 4th drink and she always wants to leave after the 2nd round. We end up arguing and even though i tell her to go home and leave me to it, she ends up waiting for me afterwards til i finish my 4th round. Then she calls me selfish because she tells me in advance that she is tired.
We were involved in an accident in September as a rest of drinking but i feel like she blames me (i was not driving) because i always encourage us to stay at the bar and have 3 or 4 rounds
Now she is saying that she will never go to a bar with me ever again.
How do i navigate this? (I have no other friends to go with)
hi i’m 22 yrs old, 5’3, and 120 pounds, and i’ve had a couple experiences with alcohol that have been genuinely painful. it only has ever happened with wine or cocktails and they have usually been on the sweeter side. i normally take shots but one night i decided to drink a bottle of wine from trader joe’s and i didn’t drink that much water that day so im sure that has something to do with it but i got this really painful ache in my chest that traveled all the way to my right arm and lasted for maybe 7 minutes. i would also like to mention that i don’t drink as often as i used to, maybe once or twice a month. the other time this happened was when i went to the US open and i drank 2 honey deuce grey goose cocktails. i got that painful ache again that would not go away until some time passed and im just confused as to why when im not drinking that much. is it because im not drinking enough water?
Yes, i know it sounds silly, but the strips of a backpack strain your neck muscles and intervenes with blood pressure in your brain. If you do not believe me, try it for yourself and tell me the result. Please, i be glad to hear your opinions, test and results. Thank you.
Edit: Maybe I should clarify, we are all different from each other, some people do not suffer from my condition and some people do. My intention is to help those who suffer from the same disease as I do. So, maybe you are not suffering as I am, but maybe someone you know is. So I kindly ask you to help me reach out to as many people as you can, to help those. Thank you for your time.
I 21F started drinking a couple months ago. First drink in (cranberry Volkka) automatically felt sick after the first sip. Every sip I took just induced the same feeling of nausea. I tried a month later, same thing. I never drink on an empty stomach so I was confused? I’m 100% sure I’m not pregnant (been having periods since then) Does anyone else know the cause or have similar experiences?
So I recently came across a TikTok that used buzzball for the alcohol in Jell-O shots and gave it a go. It was my first time so I followed the recipe which was a 1:1 ratio. 2 cups boiling water, 2 cups buzzball but they barely tasted like alcohol. Does anyone know how much I should put in for a stronger Jell-O shot or is buzzball just not a good substitute for vodka?
I'm an alcoholic and one of my favourites is the classic screwdriver, orange juice and vodka. This is a drink that really does need a bit of a stir as the density of both liquids cause separation and therefore an uneven drink! As an engineer, I often have screwdrivers close by so that became a usual stirir. It wasn't until years after doing this that Someone pointed out what I was doing and I was shocked that I didn't see this joke the whole time.
TLDR: screwdriver made with screwdriver. funny.
Hi,
am I an alcoholic?
Why do I think I am? 36M, I drink 6 beers every weekend (FRIDAY,SATURDAY AND SUNDAY) sometimes 7. I have a family and a my own company and then at the weekend when the kids go to bed I find it incredible to play a good game and drink a few beers. I really enjoy that and it is impossible for me to have, say, just 2 beers.
Why do I think I am not? I don't drink any other alcohol and I practically never drink from Monday to Friday night. I don't like the taste, so I don't even drink wine, vodka, whisky etc... In the last 10 years I would say I have not had a single glass of alcohol (except beer!). I don't hide when I drink and alcohol has had absolutely no effect on my career, relationships, family. I hardly ever wake up hungoverd. I mean, I don't know how it's possible that after 6 drinks I wake up perfectly normal and take my kid to school/activities. I am also sport lover, playing football, fitness and hiking.
So what am I?
I turned 21 not too long ago and started exploring alcohol because I was told there’s unique flavors that only exist in alcohol. I really liked the pre-mixed Jack Daniel’s coke cans since nothing else I’ve tried in my life tastes like that.
My goal isn’t to get drunk as I’m not a fan of being inebriated so any recommendations for drinks for someone who wants to experiencing interesting tastes? For reference I’ve already tried beer (hate it) and I have a sweet tooth and generally like anything fruity or with gourmand characteristics
GOOD MORNING! Happy Wednesday! My favorite is the OG lemonade, but this might be the best step up! YUM!
I didn't want this to happen but it just did, another misjudgement.
It's the end of the college term, so I decided to celebrate with a Beatbox and some IPA's. Not meant to get absurdly drunk, but enough to forget basically everything and relax for several hours.
Had one BeatBox (11.1% ABV) and 3 12Oz IPA's at 6.8% ABV. In the span of one hour. That was terrible, I felt fine and went for a third IPA.
Vomited 5 times on my blanket in bed. This is the first time I vomited within the last 10 years all because I misjudged how much I actually drank. What a mess, and what a foolish decision.
The weird thing is this happened two hours after drinking all of it, and the urge to vomit got worse and worse. The salvation and gagging built up until I couldn't take it anymore.
Definitely not as bad as some of you have experience but I haven't felt such a fool of myself until now. How is this fun? I went into drinking just to enjoy the different tastes, but here I am, drenched in vomit for a second miscalculation.
I'll feel better tomorrow. More or less a rant.
But yeah. So weird how it took this long for it to happen. Well that's a first. I don't want there to be a second.
In terms of drunk level, I was a 9/10. But I don't wish for higher.
Anyways, BeatBox Orange Blast is a 7/10, 10 Barrels Brewing Co.'s Apocalypse IPA gets a 5/10. Thank you for coming to another one of my misfortuned rankings.
Ok, hear me out.
I love a good Pimm’s and lemonade/L&P with some fresh citrus. It’s the perfect summer drink. I may or may not be drinking my one right now.
I just realised that it takes exactly like LLB (Lemon, Lime and Bitters).
Thoughts?
I'm not a big drinker and i despise the taste of strong bitter alcohol. Sweet/fruity flavors is what i enjoy. Would anyone have any Sweet tasting sake's to recommend?
My favorite mainstream beer is corona, what‘s yours?

Always take homemade beer when u are in a bar or restaurant
Bought one single 50ml bottle of dill pickle vodka , it’s 30 proof 15% alcohol goes down so smooth and so flavorful if yall like pickle juice and alcohol yall have to find it, located it in North Dakota
Okay I only recently started drinking alcohol so my bad if this sounds like a stupid question. Could you just add kool aid to vodka if you wanted a drink that's strong but doesn't taste too alcoholic?
So I bought a vibe drink earlier I was sipping on it for about 3-4 hours and I had to pee around the 4 hour mark my pee was clear but with a tint of the same color from the vibe (blue raspberry lemonade) so it was tinted blue I went back and poured the last bit of the vibe in a clear cup and sure enough that was the exact same color... Maybe my liver is shot or that "certified" color they have on the label isn't easily broken down in the system... Idk if it's good i expelled the coloring or if it's bad that went threw me so fast
Hey an old photo of me from 2010 I’m trying to work out what in the hell I was drinking. TIA
i love beer but recently i don’t have more my flat tummy and i hate sweet alcohol, what should i can do?
Angel's Ambrosia
One can of cream soda (I use A&W cause yes, a red cream makes it more pink)
The strawberry dream pictured here to taste. (How drunk you wanna get)
And French vanilla creamer, you don't want too much just enough to taste the French vanilla. So like... maybe an 1/8 of a cup.
It's simple and tasty.
( they used root beer at the bonfire )
