At my body shop, we had an AMG CLS63 come in and we had a local wheel repair shop redo all the wheels. We had issues with this place with them originally stripping one of the lugs when putting them back on, and then it was shipped out to a Mercedes dealership, now we have it back and we’re trying to get these stupid Center caps on but they won’t seem to screw on. You can get the back 2 caps to somewhat stay on but they absolutely will not screw all the way down, and I’ve had no luck with the front 2. Not sure if the wheel guys fucked the thread or whatever the problem is, but they will not screw down. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm considering getting a GTR or a GTC, and I've narrowed down to two cars.
Please give me some advice which one would be a better choice based on your experience.
I won't be using the car on tracks, and also not for daily use.
Both are with low mileage (Note. I live in a smaller country so the lower mileage is not out of the ordinary) The 2019 GTC is about 15% more expensive than the 2018 GTR.

2018 GTR with about 6000 km (3700 miles), with analog dashboard dials.

- Brilliant Blue metallic
- all alcantara/napa interior
- Burmester.
- Carbon packages inside and outside.

2019 GTC with about 9500 km (6000 miles), with refreshed all digital dashboard.

- Designo diamond white bright designo selenite grey magno
- all alcantara/napa interior
- Carbon packages inside and outside.
- Burmester.
- AMG wheels(front 19, back 20).

I have the option to buy a 2019 GLC43 AMG at 55K miles for $27,000 (USD), but I’m worried about what people tell me regarding reliability, maintenance costs and longevity, the need for an extended warranty etc. I do love the car, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice before I pull the trigger.

I just got my used C43 4 months ago and the tires (PS4S) already needs replacement. The road noise/NVH of the PS4S was really bad, I mean its performance is really good and it fits the car dont get me wrong, but again it gets really annoying on highway speeds. Considering the fact that I drive it daily, I really need some tires that lasts longer and has better NVH.

I have 20 inch wheels, I searched and it seems like for the tire dimensions (245/35 R20, 265/30 R20) there are really not many options (PS A/S4 seems like the only other good option) so i want to ask what kind of tires do you use?

Btw, the PS4S seems to cause some sort of resonance noise at 20 mph, does that happen to you guys too？Thanks a lot for the help!

I was chewing up rear tires on my SL65 and my mechanic suggested getting a camber kit. Apparently German cars have this issue from the factory. I had the kit installed in 2022 and my rear tires are wearing out on the inside due to negative toe. My question is this…Once that kit was installed, I was under the Impression that the problem was fixed. Am I supposed to adjust the camber kit after a certain amount of miles? I’m pissed that I have to replace these tires so soon since I haven’t put many miles on them.

i’m planning on buying a new car soon. I’m trying to figure out if an amg is the right thing for me. i’m really in love with the w211 e55, but don’t know if it’s a good choice. for one the gas on a v8 and then it’s also not awd. Does anyone have any other recommendations with similar power to the e55 but maybe awd. I’m also looking at an m340i but i like benz way more the bmw. any other car recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Looking at two C63 AMG Estates that are for sale. Both have full service history at 10,000km intervals +/-1,000km. Both same price. both facelift models. Here is the difference:

2012: 80,000km (edit 50,000 miles)

2014: 120,000km (edit 74,500 miles)

The question is which do you go for given that they are pretty much identical cars (save for colour, how theyve been driven etc.) Appreciate any thoughts.

So I’m 17 and I’ve gone to look at a couple cla 35s made between 2020-2023 as my first car. I was wondering what the maximum mileage I should consider is and I also wanted to know if anyone has any idea how much my insurance will be.
