Man, sometimes this color just pops in the sun
I think the cle is one of the best modern Mercedes designs. It’s tempting to get one as of now, but I can’t trade in my w212 e63s for a straight 6. But, I would consider it if it had a similar drivetrain to the gt63.
Just got quoted $2,000 (USD) for a 40,000 mile service from the dealer. 2021 amg c63s
Do service advisors just throw out random numbers and is it negotiable or is that actually the standard price? I was really sold on the depth of service being done, but when you just go in for an oil change a 2k bill throws you back 😵💫
Hi everyone I am finalizing my purchase for a 2018 Mercedes E400 edition 1 I know it isn’t an amg but I wanna know is there any common problems or issues to look at? It currently has 53,000 miles and I wanna know what to expect in the future. Not sure if I should get warranty since it’s more expensive than I thought. Please let me know.
hi all,
I have owned my AMG GT 2020 roadster (base model) less than a month. It is a lot of fun, coming from a GLE 53. very happy with the car. a joy and pleasure anytime I take it out.
however, having never driven a sport RWD before, I would appreciate some general things to keep in mind, AMG GT specific or sport car in general! I have been searching youtube for tips and tricks and other stuff around AMG GT but not really much concrete there.
For example I accelerated in a curve and did lose traction for a moment even if I didn't floor it, wasn't wet, not a very sharp turn. which I didn't expect, so now I keep in mind not to do that haha.
so if someone have any general ideas to keep in mind I would appreciate it.

Why sometimes i think some CLS are longer or smaller? Is there any Longer model or year ? Or is it because of the color ?
I want to do a tune on my CL65. I see there are a number of tuners out there but no reviews. RennTech is well known but much more than the others. Why? Has anyone tried a different tune for your car? Any issues? How about your HP and Torque gains? Also, the 5 speed trans is very strong but the shifts leave little to desire. Has anyone either built or upgraded their 722.6 transmission to handle the extra power. I will not be doing any 1/4 mile racing. Just highway fun
I purchased my 2015 GLA 45 AMG from a preowned dealer. When I purchased it, the screen was not working and they said they would purchase a replacement screen.
My question is, would anyone prefer the stock head unit or would you recommend a aftermarket one in its replacement?
Thank you in advance !
So the W205 is now approaching 10 years old. I’m wondering what aspects I should consider before buying one with over 100k miles. The car I’m interested in is a 1 person owner from new and has a full MB service history. Every service every 12,000 miles, without fail. I would be interested in hearing people’s experience and recommendations.

Probably won't change anyone's mind. Seems like a mixed bag, incredibly quick, incredibly complicated drive modes that you can't really avoid tinkering with, weight is definitely an issue but at high speeds it hides it relatively well.
This statement by Jack was interesting:
"The reason to they went to the four-popper in this car does not have to do with required emissions from the government...it was a deliberate decision by the Mercedes engineers at AMG to show what is possible for them in a car like this. In their words, the V8 does not make the C63, it is the performance available to the driver."
Hey everyone. Having a little trouble making a decision and thought I would ask the opinion of a bunch of strangers on the internet. I am the owner of a pretty clean 2006 S55 AMG (220). It has 219,000 and is still running the ABC suspension. I bought the vehicle 5 years ago off of a customer (I own a Mercedes/BMW repair shop) for $4000 and have put another $5,000 into it on maintenance, repairs, and some paint work. Wheels were repaired/repainted within the last year and a half and brand new Michelin tires were installed at all 4 corners at that time. I love this car, it runs and looks great and fits my family of 4 well.
As much as I love my S55, I have always wanted an E55 (210) with Monoblock's. I think it is one of the most classic and iconic vehicles of that generation. I found someone local to me that is willing to do a straight trade. He has a 2001 E55 with 222,000 miles on it. The car is in good shape. It has some minor paint issues with some of the plastic trim (roof rails, sideview mirrors), and the headliner is sagging in the back. It also has an aftermarket head unit with Android Auto/Apple Car Play and some Vogtland lowering springs. Wheels were recently powder coated but it has mismatched no name trash tires on it. It also has a battery/charging system light on the dash even though the alternator charges the battery fine. I'm not too worried about that as I know I can fix it. The E55 is a dream car of mine, but I kinda feel like I'm trading a well put together S55 for an E55 that, while it's in good shape, is not as nice as mine.
That is my dilemma. Do I stick with the 220 that I have had for years or do I trade up/down to the 210?
TLDR-Should I trade my 220 S55 for a 210 E55
A little while back, I wanted to get some general info on the GLC 63 as it’s likely my next car.
Now I want to ask more specific questions, as I’m a finance nerd.
Again, I drive a 2012 Chevy Cruze currently, so my current average repair costs are totalling around $3,000…
How often do y’all usually need to repair parts on the GLC 63? (I plan on buying one with ~40,000 miles)
What’s the average you think you’re spending on extra repairs yearly?
How much is an oil change/any other usual repairs.
Is the excitement worth the money?
Thinking of grabbing a 2021-2022 GLE 63 S with around 25-30k miles on it, any good things to know about this specific vehicle? My advisor mentioned Wheels & Brakes - any other maintenance or mechanical things to take note of? Thank you any advice is greatly appreciated
In the first and second photos it's exactly what happens when you buy stuff from questionable sources. I tried my best to mark the fitment errors, so yeah, sometimes cheap plastic simply won't have that final look you're expecting. With that in mind, we also got to change a little bit of the front, adding genuine aero front lip and flaps, as well as a pair of bumper inserts. Check the behind the scene photos:
Any insight about performance and reliability would be appreciated
I replaced the battery on my key fob 6 months ago and it already needs to be replaced. Is this a defective key? Any advise is appreciated it’s a 2020 amg GT 53
