Hi MB Community,

For some reason, my father's car is unable to display the media/audio/album cover/radio display on the instrumental cluster dashboard. It does not display on the Classic or Executive menu. See the image below.

I am able to view all other options, which are:
- Daily and total distance
- DistanceFrom startandFrom reset
- ECO display
- Consumption
- ATTENTION ASSIST
- Navigation

I looked at the manual for my car, and it is an option that is available for the car. Just find it confusing why it is not displaying the media cover.

Some diagnostics I have tried are:
- Connecting via Carplay, Bluetooth and using USB-C to lightning (iPhone 13 Pro)
- Updating my IOS to the latest update, restarting phone, disconnecting and forgetting device and reconnecting to MBUX
- Car is updated to the latest MBUX update as well
- Tried using a different phone -> suffers same problem as well

Hi guys. I noticed today that only the left-side ambient light is working. The right, middle console, and rear are not working. Do you have any idea about that and do you know where is the exact fuse location for ambient light?

I'm about to buy CLS63 AMG 2012 model in 4 four hours (suddenly got this deal). The price is reasonable for where i live (and the owner took care of the car, so, good deal), i always check prices of cars, especially cars like CLS. Also the car has 116.000km. My question is, every car has that one or two problems which comes around from time to time, what's this cars "that specific problem" which might annoy me. Second question is, depending how much kilometers it has, will there be big problems for me where i regret buying it? (i take good care of my car, that's not smth to worry about). Last question, do you think i should buy it?

Hi all, I am in the used market looking for a daily convertible - and it's down between a used C43 vs an E300, both from 2017.

I would love the performance of the C43, however I would think that the E would seem classier in comparison, although lacklustre performance-wise compared to the AMG.

If purchasing cost is of no concern, which one would you pick and why? (in terms of performance, comfort, maintenance, exterior/interior, any reasons etc.)

Hi All - I am in the used market to buy an SUV with a new baby on the way. This will be my first car and I am based in NY. Looking at several compact-suv and the GLC 300 looks like it fits the size criteria. I wanted to ask if you guys think this is a good deal for a used GLC 300

• Price: $27,450

• Miles: 37,094 (9,286 mi/year)

• Personal lease vehicle

• Minor damage to the left rear

• no maintenance recorded according to carfax

Any GLC 300 owners have any recommendation what to look out for when shopping for a used GLC 300? Looking to spend <$25,000 if possible, but willing to spend extra if it's a good deal. Welcome suggestions for older years if you guys think it's worth looking into

Can’t find much info on manual E class cars out there, and would welcome feedback from anyone who owns one.

Looking to import a pre-facelift W212 (could twist my arm for a wagon at the right price) from Germany to Canada in a couple years and would love a stickshift. Coupes/cabrios aside, it would have to be either an E200 CGI or one of the diesels, E200/220 CDI.

Has anyone had problems with the panoramic sunshade on the W205? Initially, I got the front shade replaced and now two weeks later the same problem has happened again. The shade moves about 1/4 of the way but then it just clicks like it’s off track then goes back to the folded up position. I don’t think there’s an issue with the shade motor. Any advice?

I’ve been eyeing a 1979 SL450 hardtop on Facebook marketplace. It’s in great condition with 80k original miles. The owners husband passed and she can’t take care of it, so she’s selling it for a pretty reasonable price. But, I’m 6’6 and 210lbs. Is there any way I’ll fit in it? With or without seat and steering wheel adjustments? Thanks.

Hi! Car is a 2008 C300.

Would anyone happen to know where I can order this part or what the part # is? It’s the “tray” to the center console where my finger is and seems removable so hoping to replace just this one little tray only. Over time it gets melty/tack/sticky and recently melted something on it, and while cleaning it up, it tore and fiber from the cleaning wipe got stuck on it. Thank you in advance for your help and advice!

Long story Short i have an s500 with an M273 from 2006.

The engine makes some strange noises. The first noise is a howl/whisle, getting louder and higher pitched with higher engine speed. The second noise sounds like a bomp bomp bomp (misfires).

The chain sounds complete normal, theres also no power loss. I disconnected the belt and ran the engine for a short time, same noise.

Did someone had the same problem?

I want a w211 E class for my first car, would it be too ambitious and should i get something a bit smaller before it ?
