Astral Battles by Egor Bogatov was, and still is, the best mobile game I've played across any platform. Simple to pick up, strategic, enjoyable, from memory it had offline and online play. It's really the only thing at all that I loved about my windows phone experience. Is there any way to play it nowadays (ie an android port?
Is it possible? Is there a way to rip the executable from a "desktop" ARM installation of Windows 10 and install it in Windows Phone?
I want to mix the best hardware and software. The amazing cameras from Lumia devices with the popular Android OS.
This will involve exploring how the devices boot, their security systems, and their hardware. I expect a working version around 2020. I know it's a long way away, but without people to help me, it will take a while.
It's shit anymore. Move to Android, losers.
i want a app with new notification, if my favourite user on twitter post a tweet
It would be really cool to see all the pictures of a conversation in one place (without having to scroll up a conversation). The iPhone has this feature, it should be pretty integral to any Mobile OS at this point!
with audacity features like (trim, reverse, record, etc.)
microsoft didn't made uwp paint app (only fresh paint, but its 8.1 app)
Honestly looking for a breath of fresh air. Outlook Mail has functionality in some areas but I feel like they hold back a bit on the Mobile version. On all version it lacks life as there aren't really that many animations and affects. It would somebody could take advantage of this opportunity and make their own UWP mail app.
I know maybe some of you already know that the fuel in the Windows Phone / Windows Mobile 10 has been withdrawn from the store. (thereafter referred as Windows 10 Mobile).
I think the messaging apps like BBM is still needed by the users of Windows Phone because the application is still popular among smartphone users in general.
Not hoping to be UWP, enough to present back to the mobile device with the same features as other OS.
So I recently switched to windows phone from droid, and so far I'm loving everything but the app support (guess you didn't see that coming). So far I've found good replacements for all of my mainly used apps including discord and twitch, but I've yet to find a good Google+ app. Sure the mobile site works but image load times are an abomination, and 99gplus is just ugly. If you are able to help in any way with this thank you very much.
Would be nice to have in the windows store!
There was no request here for such an app except for this but as we all know there is a lack of a music player that is light-weight, free, without-ads and open source; promising that it won't suck.
I started this project a few years back as a WPF application but later when UWP came out, I changed platforms. So this is the result: Macalifa.
I made it open source because as you all know, open-source is the best way to promise the user something more than the usual kebab.
Github repo: https://github.com/theweavrs/Macalifa Roadmap and current status: https://github.com/theweavrs/Macalifa/wiki/Roadmap
Please fork and star to support and further encourage the project to completion.
Thank you everyone, this subreddit and the whole github and reddit community!
The national library in Norway is scanning all their books older than 2000, and publishing them online for free. Their pages are clunky and cluttered, and someone has already created a web app for removing clutter and speeding up reading. https://github.com/arve0/NBleser/ I was wondering if it was possible to fork this to a UWP-app.
Like the built in map apps... but with the ability to specify WMS layers. Google Earth does it, Esri ArcGIS does it. Neither are UWP and they won't integrate with installations on other devices, sync points (like bing maps favorites), etc. There are a few apps that come close (like GPS Hiking Mate 10, but it doesn't do multiple layers or overlay layers) but nothing has all the basic features I'm looking for.
I came to think about FB Messenger and honestly my highest wish is to have an app that shows me plain and simple the facebook messages! I mean a really simple and LIGHT app, like plain text, No videos, no gifs... pictures are essencial so let's keep it :D how nice would it be! The smallest the better, you could sideload it with Facebook without making your phone slow or consuming all your battery. The official apo has nice features, people would keep both I believe.
iCorps is a great app, but nothing offered in the Windows store comes close to it's functionality.
I'd love to help talk to the other mods and such. Let me know if there is anything I can do.
Apparently this is still missing in Windows 10 Mobile / Windows Phone 8.1! There is a lack of: Bambuser UStream LiveStream Periscope Facebook Live (Maybe in the next update??) Meerkat
There are lots of apps for viewing streams from different sites (for example EasyScope Beta for Periscope), but none to actually make the video and broadcast it live.
I sent an email to Bambuser because they have supported a ton of platforms in the past (really old version of Windows Mobile, Symbian, Meego, Maemo, etc. Now they only support Android and iOS), and they said "There are currently no plans for Windows 10 Mobile" D:!
There is an app in the store for UTrail.me but it seems it stopped working at some point in the past (actually, the website is what seems to be dead, if anyone has more information on this please tell).
So please get us some streaming apps! It can enable chats and silly stuff, but also shows, news broadcasting, sharing stuff with family/friends, showing live emergencies, help prevent/fight unlawful stuff, etc.
Please.
Please ask the Pokemon Company and Niantic, Inc., to put Pokemon Go in Windows 10 mobile.
I'm looking for a way to block any work related contact by turning a switch on or based on a time schedule. Both would certainly be best. Sort of a switch between private and work. This as I have to use my phone for work purposes as well. This could be done for example using categories within contacts etc.
Honestly I do not know if this is possible for windows phone due to the permissions. Such an app or function doesn't exist for any mobile phone OS right now. But it would certainly help many people :)
Basic emulator of CMD that actually works. This would be very nice to have.
I want a good FM Radio App. One that looks good and works well. All the ones on the store are horrible. I am on the Release Preview Ring, so the stock MS one is still there, but I want to have a good one ready for when it gets removed from the RP Ring.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone here knew if there was a firechat port for win10M? I would rather use windows phone, this app has been recommended as a communications device in disaster operations as it does not require either cell service or internet to communicate over short distances. If I have to I will pick up an android go phone or something just for use if we need it, but I would really like to use it on win10m, since most of us here are using it already as a daily driver. thanks for your help.
(I don't know if they have this) I would wish that comic book companies, like Dark Horse, IDW, Marvel, and the like, would have a dropbox friendly feature (Following Image comic's lead). So, I can legally buy a comic, transfer it to dropbox, and read it off in my Windows Phone/tablet and on the go.
Something similar to iWriter on iOS or Jotter pad on Andorid, i couldnt findin anything on windows phone store.
So I'm a baseball fan, but I don't usually do fantasy sports. A friend of mine guilted me into it, but I'd like to be able to manage my league on the go. The mobile webite sucks and the only 3rd party app might work fine, but has not been updated in years and has a super dated design. Says there is an API so can I hold out hope?
Some photo app like the removed photosynth, that create panorama pictures, it's a great missing feature that unfortunately was not placed by microsoft. (Sorry for my bad english i'm brazilian)
I would absolutely love a UWP Milkdrop visualizer app. Android has projectM which is Milkdrop for android, but windows doesn't even have a way to get Milkdrop besides Winamp. Our selection of visualizers is abysmal, it would be great to see the best one available on UWP
