I am trying to get the membership but I am still confusee about how ROTM works. So, they select one for you and you can swap that for any records that's available on the site or just three records they have for ROTM? If later, it's not worth it.

I’ve been out of the loop with VMP since Voodoo was announced for a repress. I ordered my copy and remembered it saying it was supposed to be shipped out in mid-September, but I haven’t received any updates by email since.

Hey, International subscriber here! On the last TBT I had to burn some of my store credits and went in and got the mystery Standard Variant 2 pack R&B/Hip Hop bundle.

Just wondering if anyone else on here did that, or has done that in the past and what did they get?

I’m excited and nervous to see what comes in it and just hoping it isn’t stuff I already bought!

If this was ever updated in this sub, I missed and don't see it now. The failed VMP plant did open after all as Paramount Pressing and Plating with David Rawlings (Gillian Welch's musical partner) as co-owner. A couple years back it was big news that VMP brought Rawlings on to help with their pressing plant plans. The latest Welch and Rawlings vinyl delivered to me this weekend and had a sticker for the new Denver pressing plant on it. I had a hunch it must be related and found one article quickly. I’ve been in talks with VMP trying to get answer about what’s going on here. In my opinion it’s not right what the abruptly did in the middle of our subscriptions. I asked some legal bases questions. They took weeks to get back to me. Not looking for sympathy just answers. Keep comments to International parties interested. Use or ignore. Here is what they said…hope it helps!

It sounds really cool and like the background on it, but definitely one of those I’ll spin a few times and almost never again.

Looks like we are getting the Outkast ATLIENs treatment and getting a ODB replacement record? wasn't aware there was an issue with that record but wondering if anyone got the shipping update or knows more about this?

Is anyone else receiving Essentials records from their old rock subscription? I log into my account and it says I have no active subscription but I received a shipping email today I am receiving the essentials album of the month at a $50 charge.

Hello, I preordered 2 of the Master of Reality’s back in March from VMP through the Shop app. I’m not getting any email responses from VMP through their email or through the Shop app. I’m nervous that they are going to keep my money and not send the Sabbath lp’s. Any help with this? Thanks

any idea how can i get this record in Canada? i know that i can get it when it’ll be in stock, but i doubt it still will be available due to limited pressing…

Only ones that catch my eye are Sly and the Family Stone - Dance to the Music and Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern Sounds. I hope they got the issues with the Sturgill lp sorted cuz the first run was kind of a disaster.

Hey all, I have my membership set to renew on November 1st, and times are tight enough that I can't justify continuing to spend money on records.

I do, however, have $80 in membership credits. Is it possible to use this, or am I SOL (other than I guess using it to buy a 1-month membership, and then waste the other $30-ish dollars in membership credits)?

Just my rambling thoughts: Idk all the specifics of their finances, but subjectively I feel like once the debacle with their creators getting fired and them suing each other blows over, VMP will recover. It was justified they were fired.

The people that are pissed off about the price increase will cool off and come back when there is a good quarter or cool record they want. It’s still a great product and service despite the price. Decreasing the picks to 3 tracks consolidates the curation and will result in more quality picks. I don’t shop much at my local record store anymore or discogs. I like VMP and try to just budget myself 1 record per month(ok most months it is 2)

If my local store has something I want, like when the prince estate releases “the symbol” I’ll have them order one. But I prefer VMP pressings.

Pro tip/life hack: if you feel there is a good chance an upcoming ROTM won’t have enough stock- change your primary track to that record/track before billing and don’t swap. Tie their hands. Example: I anticipated they would sell out of ramones, and changed to essentials before billing and ended up with a copy.

If it sounds like I’m an overly enthusiastic fan boy it’s bc I am.
