Helicopter Search?

It's 2 am, in NW Vegas. At least 1 Helicopter is out with a search light. Been going for about 15 min, circling the area around houses and highway. Anyone know who or what they are looking for?

Where can I get slapped with branches?

Does anyone know where to get one of those aggressive sauna treatments/massages where you get beaten with tree branches? Also what are they called? (side note: the meaner the better)

Nearby Vacation ideas, budget friendly.

I am taking time off work for the first time ever and want to get away. I'm budging around a $1,000 for up to 9 days and wondering about recommendations.

I've heard of Zion, Big Bear, Lake Havasu. I am mostly a home body so not looking to do a whole lot, just a change of scenery and relax.

Enchant vs Magical Forest

Which is the better one to check out for a family with a pre teen and a teen? I haven't been to either so I'm curious what others think about each christmas event.

Local Bar - How Much Ya Tip?

I'm not talking about just tipping, but when you "hit" playing poker/keno...

So to start, it's usually just my wife and I. I'll start with a $5 tip for our 2 drinks, then throw in a buck for every single drink after (waters too on the way out). When she or I hit something "decent" (four 7's as an example), I'll throw in another $5. BUT - If I hit a Royal, I'm throwing in $100.

My question is: I hit kinda on my way out. I switched to dollars, and hit a Royal for 4k. I tipped $200 (on top of earlier tips), but i feel like I "cheaped" out (not my intention). I asked another bartender and she basically said don't worry...I just don't wanna look like a cheap-ass to a bar I love (and they hook it up - drinks, cigarettes, food...).

Thoughts?

Side jobs

Good evening:) I was wondering if you guys know of any side jobs? Just looking to earn some extra cash while I wait for my new job to start (hopefully) giving out some hours. Just want to make sure I can keep affording rent. Thanks a bunch. ❤️

Like new queen mattresses

Hi all,

My boyfriend and I are combining households and we have a TON of furniture. We have two almost brand new queen mattresses we can't donate, but I hate to just toss them if there is someone in need.

One is a year old, smoke and pest free home, memory foam mattress from Amazon.

The other has been in storage, but was used as a guest bed, and so was rarely slept on. I think it's name brand (like Sealy, I'll know for sure on Tuesday,) smoke, pest, and pet free home.

You would need to transport yourself. Please DM me if you're interested or want more info.

Buying an Apple gift card? Click to not get scammed!

Open up the back for the UPC, but also open the card completely and take of the covering for the "code". If it is scratched out, or marked out in any way, its a SCAM! Do not buy this card and report it to the store immediately!

I saw Smiths this morning having to pull ALL of their cards because every single one was compromised and would defraud you after I found just one!

This isn't the store, but what looks like the venders that are doing this!

Holiday date night

My partner and I have went ice skating at the cosmo last year, and the plan was to do it again this year but a foot injury is in the way. I’m looking for a substitute holiday date idea.

I know of Ethel M cactus garden and bellagio fountains but I was hoping for something a little more interactive. Does anyone know of good date spots that are Christmasy?

Any job hiring that works with a school schedule?

Just as the titles says. I’m really struggling going to school full time and working at the same time. I’ve applied to lots of places but all said no due my availability!! I have Hostess experience at high end hotels (Wynn, Mirage) and I do have receptionist experience as well. I’ve been looking and found nothing. Ive applied on Indeed and haven’t gotten any phone calls back. TYIA!

Edit; I have my health and alcohol awareness card!

The 119

This bus route should be aborted. Doesn't run on a schedule if it runs at all. 3 hours without a bus in the early evening is typical Vegas. FUCKED!

Dead Wine

My wife doesn't trust me to go get wine, because I go to Lee's and find $20 bottles of 30-year-old-probably-corked Italian garbage. I can't resist it and it's always terrible. Anyone else insane? Any good places to buy wine that isn't too expensive and isn't the same prisoner stuff I can get at Albertsons?

Im moving back to Las Vegas on low budget

Describing it in simple word, I’m (21F) moving back to Las Vegas after 2-three years, I am a commercial cleaning technician now but because it pays really good in my city, in Las Vegas, I used to do hospitality and restaurant so I’m between both of them because they do Cleaning and get good money. I need a car but since I’m moving on a budget moving with a car seems really expensive. So practically I want to know your opinion and how is the restaurant job market right now I just turned 21

Best "Taco Truck" or other catering in Las Vegas?

I'm getting ready to do a work event for about 50 people and I'm thinking taco truck type thing. What do you guys recommend? I need to have dietary restrictions options available too but I'm looking for some good food. No it doesn't have to be taco truck, that's just the first thing that comes to mind.

Looking for a place

So a little backstory: me and my girlfriend moved here a couple months ago, and we've been looking for a place to rent. However, due to my ex screwing me on a place we had together a couple of years ago, I have an eviction on my record. Does anyone know of any places for rent by private owner, or any complexes that are willing to work with someone who has an eviction that isn't older than 5 years?

Just moved

Hey! 20y/o here, looking to make some friends in the area since me and my boyfriend moved here not too long ago. Looking to make some friends who would be down to hang out and do some things together. We’re both attending car meets and trying to attend some social gatherings here and there, but not too much luck. Anyone down for a late night drive or a small cruise? Or just someone who wants to go make a bonfire somewhere cozy now that the weather calls for it… I know already that I’m going to get downvoted for this probably :’)

Does anyone know where we can donate baby items that “contained a baby?”

We’ve tried Deseret Industries, Savers, and Goodwill, and they won’t take anything that “contained a baby.” These are a bouncer, a BabyBjorn-like bouncer seat, and a buzzy chair.

Begging for physical therapist recommendations

Hi other locals,

I have a bunch of stuff wrong with my hands (carpal tunnel, de quervians, cubital tunnel) and, after an mri confirmed that the issue isn’t an injury, I’ve been recommended physical therapy.

My hands have prevented me from even really having hobbies or functioning in my free time so it’s a bit rough having a typing focused job lol.

Please! If you know any good physical therapists for the hands I am quite literally begging for help
