Hey everyone!
I'm heading to Universal Studios Singapore at the end of November and could really use some tips on making the most of my day there. A while back, I saw a comment here with a great plan for tackling the rides, including which ones to hit first, the best times to avoid lines, and other useful tips. Unfortunately, I lost that comment—does anyone know the one I’m talking about or have similar advice?
Also, if you have any other tips or suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance!
Hey gang, im really struggling with the wording on the ticketing through universal. Specifically the wording. Can anyone confirm the details of the
"2 Day Universal Orlando Resort 2-Park 2-Day Park-to-Park PLUS 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket Valid for 2 days of admission"
This is 3 days at the parks right??
The valid 2 days of admission confuses me. But the wwording of the ticket seems to be 2 days of park hopper passes then a third bonus day at epic world.
Which is what i want, 3 days total, two park hopper days and 1 day at epic. Am i making the correct choice for my vacation package?.

Why is that?
- Cleared all cache and cookies, tried different devices
- app also doesn't show the thumbnail picture for each menu.
So long story short, I did something stupid back in April last year (2023) and got banned for a year and couldn't return to the park until now. I got scorted to a quetioning booth, taken my picture and ID and signed an agreement for the trespassing warning (and yes, I learned my lesson).
Now, they said I'd receive a letter for 'damages' and it'd be around $200 but I never got said letter and my cousin got us tickets for Christmas, but I never paid the fee (since i haven't gotten on mail) and the ban has been lifted for the agreed time. Should I contact them to see the situation or just stay quiet? Will there be a problem if I go and they hold me at the entrance? I don't know what to do.
EDIT: Thanks for everyonee that took the time to answer me and put my mind a little more to ease. I'll make sure to contact them and avoid any misunderstadings :)
I have a pass for Universal Studios Hollywood, and I tried to make a reservation for a special event. But it says I have reached the maximum number of reservations for my ticket. But I have not made any reservations yet. What do I need to do to clear that so I can make the reservation?
My wife and I are going during the last week of November and hoping there are some deals that we are missing. We are both California residents. We were waiting for the last deal to end that was going on that lasted till September or something I believe but no new deals ever popped up. Of course when we booked our vacation is the most expensive day and we are just hoping that we can get some kind of deal better than what is listed on the website because we can essentially buy the costco season pass for close that price...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I’m planning to attend Universal mid April and interested in the 3 days, 2 free promotion. As of today, it seems to stop mid week on April 16, 2025.
Going on past history, is it likely for Universal to extend the promotion through April or with Epic Universe coming that this promotion would likely be going away?
I got three tickets to universal for my boyfriend, brother, and I. My little brothers moving back home across country and that third 2-day ticket would be wasted. How strict is universal on if I brought another friend with his ticket😭 I wouldn’t want it to go to waste but if that’s the case no worries.
Inside the Universal Studios Store today (in the park). Not a lot left, people were climbing over each other for merch.
so I'm going to Singapore and I wanna explore uss but I don't have much time to explore the park so if anyone can gimme reccos for best ride reccos based on their experience that'd be great
I'm just curious because I might go to universal Hollywood soon, do they have characters walking around Hogsmede in the wizard if world of Harry Potter section?
Last time I went about 2 years ago and needed a timed entry ticket but only see them mention needing one for super Nintendo world now.
Did they get rid of it for Harry Potter now? Can I just walk right in?
Hello, everyone.
I made a post yesterday about how I was surprised by a morning 25 minute listed wait on Mario Kart without Early Access. For months, I'd been touting that no one should visit SNW in the morning without EA because it was usually the time when general and EA guests mixed in the queue, and to return to the land later in the day when people have left the park.
However, considering what happened yesterday and after some more talks with frequent visitor Dooglemeiser (whom I met up with in the park again yesterday), I think there are some new things to look for in the mornings if you're trying to get on Mario Kart that might save you $30/person on an advantage that might not be so advantageous anymore (depending on the person, of course).
Saturdays in November are typically light. However, I believe yesterday was particularly light because many Pass Holders were blacked out. As someone who regularly parks at ET, I can see if passes are blacked out on the monitors that rotate between park notices and parking prices. I'm not sure how this works with the Lankershim-side gate, though, and I'm definitely not cycling through the website's calendars to figure out which passes are blocked on which dates (but you can do that if you really want to get into the weeds with your trip planning).
Pass Holder Black Out days have both positive and negative effects on park operations. Usually, when the park expects fewer people to show up, it doesn't call in as much staff to fill positions. Even though crowds will be lighter, some things will take just as long to get through because of this, most notably:
Dooglemeiser told me yesterday that SR for MK usually closes between 11 and 1 on short-staffed days. Yesterday, it closed at 10:45a exactly (we were cycling SR that morning, i.e. finishing one ride and going right back in for another).
I don't think this is how SR works on most attractions, but it seems to be how it works on MK for whatever reason. I'm not here to argue why or throw shade at the ride, though - I'm just here to say this is what it is, and this is how to plan for it.
Many people tout that SR is the magic ticket to MK, but it's not always the case, and when it's closed, it's definitely not the case. Even when I went back after 1, it was still closed. You'll probably be in standby if you arrive any time after 10 if you go on a short-staffed day.
(With all that said when we did get on SR yesterday it was like flying at mach speeds. Doog said he went through 10 times by the time I had dropped in lol... Don't expect that all the time.)
I guess I should say that, when I plan for myself and when I help plan for others who don't specify their ticket purchase, I'm always doing so with the minimum cost in mind - just general admission, no EA, no Express, no VIP, none of the extras. It's what most guests will buy, and it tends to be the ticket with the most planning required because you don't get as much open time to work with.
The thing about MK is you don't really know if SR is open until you get to the entrance, at least not if you're arriving in the morning. SR is a little tucked away, so the path to it will often either be empty or have a few people who jumped out of standby to take a photo.
I usually say not to look at the listed wait time, but in this case, it's a bit more justified as a measure of comparability. If the listed wait is under 30, you should try to get on it in the morning, at least after the other 3 Lower Lot attractions. When I went yesterday, it stayed at 25 minutes listed from 9 to 10:30 or so, which is a very generous window to me.
Going to check if SR is open takes up time in the morning you could be spending by going on other attractions that will build high waits that will feel just as intimidating. Using the listed wait in this case will generally let you ballpark when is good to go and when is wait for later. Of course, waiting for later is still going to be the extremely safe option for an off-season day, especially as the nights grow colder and the park still close at 9p on the weekends.
You can ride SR in the morning (before 11) if you're in a rush, but if it's your first time going on the ride, I highly highly highly highly recommend standby first. The queue is gorgeously decorated with plenty of Easter eggs for Mario fans, and if it's under half an hour, it moves at a perfect pace that keeps you walking while letting you soak in all the details.
I've now learned that Mario Kart can be done in the morning - it just takes a bit of luck and a bit more monitoring. :) I will likely have to re-evaluate this strategy come spring break 2025, but for now, this seems to be workable.
Thanks for reading this through if you did; I hope it helped with planning. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments, and I'll do my best to answer.
Why doesn’t every universal hotel room come with free peacock for your stay? I don’t work in hospitality but it seems like such an obvious thing to do. People are spending money to vacation here and it would be one of the little things that enhances your experience. Rewatch all your favorite movies at night after the parks and then ride the rides the next day. Especially for outdated or classic rides that might not have a strong following with today’s youth.
Peacock was one of the last streaming services and I don’t know anyone who pays for it. It would almost be a free five, seven or ten day trial (however long your stay is) that’s included in the room price. I bet they’d seem a significant rise in new customers from people who sign up after saying at the resort and using the service for the first time.
Is this stupid or is there a reason they aren’t doing this? Do Disney hotels come with Disney+ for your stay?
Any employees in this community who want a raise try suggesting this and lmk how it goes!!
Returning to Universal Orlando, Feb '25. Last trip was fall of '23. We're older adults, no little kids, but still enjoy the resort and the non-coaster rides at the park. The Jason Bourne show was awesome. Going to stay at the Terra Luna, we think. The last stay was at the Adventura, which we liked a great deal.
We're going in early February, so expecting relatively light crowds, and cool-ish temps (60-70).
Anything new there in the last couple years we should look for?
I’m trying to plan a trip to universal Hollywood for March. I’m looking at the packages that include flight, hotel and tickets. In choosing extras there’s the VIP option and also early access for Mario World. Can these be purchased for the same day or does the VIP give early access too? We’ve never been to Universal, Disney or any of these sort of places so I really don’t know what I’m doing! Thanks.
Pre-shows for attractions provide important preliminary story details, which is of course why they exist. So it baffles me, why does Universal quite often skip portions of or even the entirety of pre-shows of attractions?
For instance, I was at the Mario Kart ride in USH and they shuffled us through the pre-show room (where they explain the ride mechanics) without so much as stopping. I won out of everyone in my car but it didn't feel like a deserved victory because the rest of my party didn't realize you could look to aim!
For another example, I rode the Simpsons ride in USO and not only did they not play the first pre-show (where the Simpsons select us to ride along with them), the second pre-show (where they go into the ride vehicle) was almost over by the time we entered that room! I absolutely love these pre-shows and they give context to non-Simpsons fans (like myself) such as "who is sideshow bob?"
So if anyone is willing to lmk in the comments, why would they go through the trouble of crafting these pre-shows if the riders are just going to be forced to skip them?
Hi, I only have one day to spend on the 16, all the posts I've seen on here about fastest ways to move around the park are over a year old and one post even said the old plans don't work anymore because super Mario world is far side of lot too. Could the regulars please shed some light on what they would do under current conditions? Thanks.
Going to Universal Studios Singapore on Nov 4th (Monday) - this is my first time so looking to know a few things before booking tickets:
Since it's a working day, do I need an Express Pass? Can I finish all the major rides even without the Express Pass?
Express Pass used to allow unlimited rides, but that's not the case anymore right?
It's okay to go there and purchase the tickets at the Harbourfront? I can check the weather and also think about whether I really need the Express Pass.
I assume you cannot purchase the Express Pass after entering USS?
Any other tips and hacks for first timers?
