Are 2 kids able to play together at the same time in the mini games if we only have 1 power band?
Hi, I'm planning a trip for either this weekend or the next and I would like to get the unlimited express pass for the day. I currently have the silver annual pass and am wondering how to get the express pass. Price is also a question I have, I remember hearing that with an annual pass you get a discount for other passes. My main question is would I need to purchase separate tickets that include the unlimited express or would I have to pay the difference between the current day admission and unlimited express price.
Hi everyone, we are planning a trip to universal in the next two weeks but we haven’t been in many years. We always get the das pass at Disneyland when we arrive at the park but I’m seeing online that we may need to apply in advance online for universal.
My question is can we just apply at the park the day of or do we need to apply prior to like the website says? Also do you know if I need to purchase tickets first or can I wait to make sure we qualify prior to purchasing? I don’t foresee us being denied in person because disability is obvious but Disneyland has denied us online previously just to approve it to the day of.
Appreciate all of your help!
Would anyone happen to know or can take a picture of the QR Code/Photo code for Flight of the Hippogriff in Harry Potter Land? I recently went on it and forgot to retrieve my pictures and it won’t allow me to view them without the photo code!
Hi all! I'm deciding between purchasing the 1 day general admission + HHN ticket or after 2 pm HHN ticket, and it depends on what time I have access to SNW. If I get the after 2 pm HHN ticket, can I only enter SNW from 7 - 10 pm or before that? I ideally want to enter SNW during the day so I can do other things during HHN. Thank you!!
My father in law said he'd pay for a family trip, so my wife and I have been subtly hyping my 7 year old up for the park. YouTube videos, watching Harry Potter, etc. Months of slow boiling so when Grandpa revealed the trip, he'd be even more excited.
Grandpa broke his hip and got corrective surgery but the trip got pushed back a year and will probably just be Disney now. We didn't do anything big this year because we expected this trip coming up.
Looking at credit card points, my wife can fly us to the parks for free so we're doing a one day trip for an early Christmas present.
We got one day express pass with early Mario time. We also got a Mario band earlier so we'll be as ready as anyone can be. We even got a used Harry Potter cloak from the parks so he'll be all geared up which we'll surprise him with soon.
Even after watching videos and reading stuff online, I would still appreciate some insight into bringing a 7 year old for a once in a lifetime trip. I especially know zero about where the restaurants are in front of the park (like how easy it is to go and get back, do I need reservations months ahead, etc)
Thank you for any and all help. My son is such a good kid. My wife and I are blessed to have him. He's going to flip over this.
Is the plush Toad Head hat linked here available at the CityWalk Nintendo Store? Looking to pick it up for Halloween, but I'm not looking to pay park admission just to buy it.
EDIT: RESOLVED! If if helps anyone, 1 (818) 622-9841 goes to the CityWalk operator instead of the usual Universal phone maze.
Hi! I recently purchased admission tickets on attractiontickets.com but they didn’t have the option to upgrade/purchase express passes or the Super Mario World early entry. Would it be okay if I purchased those upgrades separately on the Universal website?
If you did, please private message me asap
Is there a particular place you are supposed toe aot for each of the 4 houses that open early in the park when you have early access? Or do you just looter in the area of the house you want to hit first?
Just wondering cause I wanna see a movie there tonight.
Anyone know when the gonna start hiring for grinchmas? Like retail, ride ops, PA?
Hello! First time at Universal soon. What do the freestyle reusable cups look like? Are there many different ones to choose from or just 1? Thanks!
Hi, I booked a VIP tour at 10 am, realized that the park opens at 10 AM, and ticket says to arrive 30 mins early (which is not possible). What should I do? Do I get the early Nintendo early access pass (early admission at 9)? Or arrive when the gate opens? But it would also mean I am late to the tour. Would they still get me to the tour? Please help! Thank you!
It’s my first time going to universal, how much money should I have saved for 2 days? tickets and hotel already bought.
I will be going to HHN this year (enter at 2PM ticket) and it's the first time going since being diagnosed with my sleep disorder. My doctor is writing me a note to show, but I'm scared they will say no to granting me a pass. I get excessive sleepiness and my energy goes so fast that I need to take a break to either sit and rest or take a quick nap. The sun and heat make it worse. That being said there's no way I'll be able to manage standing in line if the wait times are longer than 30 minutes.
Is there a chance they'll say no? If so, I know it's not common but does anyone have an experience with navigating the park with a sleep disorder?
Thank you :)
I remember it being open previous years, but whenever I check the app it says it’s closed. If it isn’t, does anyone know why?
Does anyone have restaurants recommendations near Universal Studios within 5 miles?
Family of three with a 6 year old. No preference in food Just convenience because no car.
Fav restaurants at CityWalk? Is Cafe Sierra at the Hilton buffet worth $150? Go to places around the neighborhood?
Thanks :)
I went to Universal Hollywood for the first time in February of 2008. There was this awesome attraction dedicated to the monsters, I think it had both new and old (Van Helsing, Wolfman, etc.). I never found out what it was called, or if it was a revisit/inspiration of a horror house? They kind of operated it like one, and scared the hell out of me and my friends as we went through. I would love to find a description of what was in it. Frankenstein’s lab was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen at Universal. Does anyone remember this?
We are looking into to by to universal from Seattle and it will be our first time around LA. What method of transport would you recommend to use to travel to universal, and where is a good place to stay? Neither of us are 25 yet so we cannot rent a car. Is it worth it to drive down with our own car from Seattle, or would it be a better idea to fly down and use alternative methods of transport? Thank you so much! (We are college students so looking for cheaper options)
Can I buy one band for both kids and will they let them both do the mini challenges with it as in one does then hands it right to the other to try with out going back through the line
Hi everyone! I’m going on Saturday and I plan to exclusively go on rides and maybe do one house. What rides are open and what do the wait times look like?
Hi, if I buy two HHN tickets for my non pass holder self and gf, from my sister who has the annual pass, can I? Will I have to go with my sister as well, or are my partner and I ok?
The wife and I are taking our kids (7 and 11) on Friday 11/15. This is our first time visiting and we’ll only be there for Friday. Is it worth it for the Express Pass? Should we consider unlimited? Thanks!
Me and my friends are going to horror nights this Friday and are wondering if it is possible to complete all the horror attractions and maybe some of the regular rides that are open while being there from 7-12. Any tips on how to complete this would be helpful too.
Let me cut to the chase. I’m 5’7 (or 5’6 I have a hunch and it kinda flips between them) at 265. I was able to fit in every fair ride a month ago but a lot they had to really squeeze down on my thigh. Do you think I can do every ride? Idk if a state fair is a good judgement or if those are naturally made smaller. I don’t have broad shoulders and I can suck in pretty well. As said before my biggest issues is my thigh. For reference my pants are 44x30, I wear a XL/2XL and am a man.
I went this last Saturday (10/19) and it was my first time visiting Universal Studios Hollywood. I’ve gone to the one in Orlando twice before, and Hollywood is much smaller but also more charming.
I arrived at around 8:30 to the park itself and I went straight to HP with a wait time of 5 minutes. I did the whole upper lot, except for the Studio Tour and Kung Fu Panda, in the morning with wait times of 15 minutes or less. My longest wait time was The Simpsons ride. I loved the small crowds and how close by everything was compared to Orlando.
At around 11-11:30, I went down to the lower lot and I started with Transformers 3D. Then, I went to Super Nintendo World and waited around 50 minutes for Mario Kart. That was my longest wait time all day.
Next I did Jurassic World with a wait time of like 15 minutes followed by The Mummy, with a wait time of 20 minutes.
Express Pass was definitely not needed on Saturday, so I’m glad I didn’t buy it. It would’ve been wasteful if I’m honest.
After lunch, I watched WaterWorld which I highly recommend. The best entertainment I saw my whole trip. I also recommend the Studio Tour, which had a wait time of 45 minutes at around 3 pm. I guess most of us had the same idea and went at the exact same time. But it was worth it. Despite Jaws and Bates Motel being closed, I enjoyed the tour and my favorite part was the earthquake.
I didn’t go to Kung Fu Panda because at this point the park was getting crowded with the people attending HHN, so I left and shopped at CityWalk. Even then, I was pretty much done with all the attractions. Hollywood is definitely not a whole day park, but I loved the low crowds. I’d checked before going that Saturday was going to be crowded but it seems that was only for HHN. I didn’t need early entry for Nintendo World either.
This was a completely different experience form going to Orlando, and you know what, I think I prefer the lower times even when there are less rides.
