I heard we can't directtly vote for him if so how does the local government work? Is there any way like a current petition to change it if so?
Hi everyone!
This is the first time I post in the Community but I have a very good reason, I hope you can help me!
I'm a Spanish PhD researcher working in France. I am currently doing my PhD on human language evolution and next week I come to Mongolia for a month.
I need to carry out two research studies. The very first one is about voice production, so basically I need to record people voices. The second one is a perception study, so basically people need to hear some voices and answer some (very easy) questions. Important: each participant will receive a compensation for their time (~30 mins each study)
Because I don't have any contact in the country I was wondering if someone here has any idea of how can I reach people living in Ulaanbaatar (for example at the University, museums etc) or even if someone here is willing to participate in my study!
Also because I'm travelling alone it will be helpful if someone has any idea of any facebook group or social network where I can meet friendly people during this adventure.
Thank you very much in advance!!

Price: 1 person a day 35$ $10 will be added for every additional person Monthly, only two people available- 550$ (except tv and internet)
I will be visiting Mongolia for the first week of July. Does anyone have any tour group recommendations that include horseback riding, a stay in a ger, and trips to important religious/cultural sights? 3 day 2 night excursion would best.
Especially for someone new to UB who hasn’t made any friends in the city yet?
Hello, we are a group of psychology researchers from the University of Kent, UK. It would be a huge help if anyone from any background who is interested would fill out our quick survey (18+ years old only) about your views of politics, society, and more.
Fill out the survey here: https://universityofkent.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8ICkX7mBre5IGpM
We are posting here because we hope to collect responses from a wide range of political perspectives and backgrounds. Please let us know if you would like a summary of your responses in comparison to others once the data collection is complete.
The survey takes 15-20 minutes to complete, and we are happy to respond to any queries or questions. Please private message us to avoid giving away the point of the study to others.
Thanks for your time.
Edit: The survey is now closed! Thank you very much for your time, we will be sure to post the results up here when they're ready.

Hello!
Looking for advice on places to live and work for the next academic year 2024-25. We are a teaching couple looking to leave our international school in Europe and head abroad to save. Our goal is to save at least 1 salary a month, enjoy the local life, travel a bit on a budget, and then return to the EU to buy a home.
Planning at least 2 years, but open to staying longer too.
We have been working in TEFL and international schools for over 10 years. My main experience is nursery – kindergarten and my partner in upper primary and middle school. We both have had middle leadership positions in the past. We have experience with IB, Reggio, and classic taught for the test type schools. I have two postgrads in Ed and SEN and my partner has a MEd.
Our main requirements are to be somewhere with access to nature as we are active and enjoy hiking, walking, running, and cycling. Also, gym facilities for bad weather/weekdays when it is not possible to be outdoors.
We aren’t big drinkers and have been in enough schools where the novelty of being in the expat bubble has worn off. As we are a couple, we are happy to not be in a capital city and we have experience of not well-developed countries so culture shock can be dealt with!
Would be excellent to get advice from people on best places to live for saving, as well as your own experiences. Details on cost-of-living vs salary and schools etc. would be amazing. In return, please message for advice on moving to and working in the EU.
I am not that savvy with Reddit so please link me any posts on this note too, and sorry in advance if this sort of questioning pops up too much!
This is a throw away account as our current employer/coworkers think we will be living here forever and ever.
Thank you so much!
As American, how far in advance do I need to be at UB airport with this visa?
Greetings everyone,
I’m currently in Ulaanbaatar and I’m eager to dive into the city’s nightlife. If you have any recommendations for fantastic clubs, bars, or other hotspots to enjoy after the sun sets, I’d greatly appreciate your insights. Feel free to share your favorite places to have a blast in the city.
Hello,
I am visiting lovely city of Ulaanbaatar as part of voluntary teaching tour. While I am here, I would love to explore the culture and history of the country. Please suggest what places can I visit in and around the capital. I've heard a lot about Mongolian cashmere, would love to find any authentic place to buy them from.
Thanks 🙏
