Can you get monetized on Youtube in Mongolia?

I'm a teenager and i'm trying to make some money. Of course i can't get a job so i'll create content on Youtube and make some money. But Youtube studio says ''Monetization is not avialable in your country''. I only have 124 subscribers so will the monetization page appear once i have enough subscribers?

Mora is one of the worst things to come out of Mongolia. I'm ashamed of my country

I just watched Mora (a Mongolian animated movie). And it was disgusting. I felt dizzy while watching this horryfing movie. The characters look ugly and disturbing. There's no lypsyncing. The animation is so bad. I'd rather lick my grandpas toe in front of my whole family than watching that God forsaken movie.

Your thoughts on this poem ( цөвүүн цагийн цөвүүн баяр)

Its been Halloween and saw this poem popping up. I think its total bullshit dont they have any other event to talk shit about. Like just give some candy to kids only one night and if your being cheap just buy chinese ones. And there are people saying its a Demon Event like its just giving Candy by that logic buying candy means selling my soul to demons and ghosts and what not. Or is it just me thinking like this?

To any foreigners the poem for short says it’s foreign celebration where you sell your soul to demons and not a harmless candy event and kills the nation from within!

Why were I convinced that we were the same as the Japanese and Korean?

For my entire life in Mongolia, I always thought Mongolia was a perfectly Asian country with Asian customs and man I was wrong. Since coming to the US, starting from day 1, I’d been trying to connect with other Asians (US born, Asia born) but the cultural difference were too big. We do have some outdated oriental customs but dude the East Asians take it to another level. But somehow the immigrants from former Soviet Union + Eastern bloc (excluding turkic people) have been always friendly and we just seem to have a lot of shared experiences such as movies, cuisine and even language. I’ve read from somewhere that after the ‘90 revolution, Mongolian government tried to reband the country as an East Asian nation in hopes of closer bond between developed Asian nations. Whats your opinion on it?

Will you sacrifice your life for corrupted governors?

Sometimes I think something random. Today I just thought If riot happened cause of corruption and rebellions entered government building ,will forces still defend them? Not like 7.1, People reached at their most and unstoppable till die, will you still defend them?

Why didn’t Mongolian ever adopt Chinese characters?

Today Japanese is the only non Sinitic language that still uses Chinese characters.  In the past Korean and Vietnamese used to be written with them too.  Since Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese are unrelated to Chinese, many difficulties were faced during the adoption process.  I wonder if my understanding of the various modifications during the adoption process is accurate.

Japanese (kanji) – Japanese is an agglutinative language with verb and adjective conjugations.  As a result a logographic script was a poor fit for it.  For Chinese loanwords they use the original Chinese character for word bases but use a syllabary called hiragana to display grammatical conjugations.  For native words they use the same Chinese character but give it a new reading.  For example 心 can be pronounced as “shin” (the Chinese loanword pronunciation) or as “kokoro” (the native Japanese word) depending on meaning.  The verb to see can be conjugated using by changing the hiragana ending.  For example “見ますmimasu (I see)” compared to “見ました mimashita (I saw)” .   Note how the word base still uses the same chiense character 見.  Before the development of hiragana and katakana Japanese was written exclusively in Chinese characters.  This was a lot more complicated because it was difficult to tell whether a character was used just for meaning or just for sounds.

Korean (hanja) – Korean, which is also an agglutinative language, faced similar difficulties that Japanese had.  When hangul was invented around 1400 it seems that they limited chiense characters only to Chinese loanwords.  Native Korean vocab was written using hangul.  In other words Korean never developed the “multiple readings” technique used by the Japanese.  Ever since around 1970 chinese loanwords started being written in hangul.  Nowadays Koreans basically never use any Chinese characters at all.

Vientamese (chu nom) – Unlike Korean and Japanese, Vietnamese is an analytical language.  This means that it has no conjugations, Vietnamese grammar is very similar to Mandarin and Cantonese.  Before the French colonization, Vietnamese was written using “chu nom”.  Chinese loanwords were written with their original Chinese characters while native Vietnamese vocabulary was written using newly invented characters.  These characters often consisted of a semantic and a phonetic component (or radical) squeezed together.  According to Wikipedia “thousands” of new characters were developed this way.  Chu Nom seems to have dropped out of use around 1920 and now a Latin alphabet based script is used.

Mongolian – for some reason Mongolia never seemed to have adopted Chinese characters.  I am also under the assumption that Mongolian has far fewer Chinese loanwords compared to Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese.  In other words Mongolia was not within the Chinese sphere of influence during ancient and medieval times.    I know that Mongolia borrowed a modified form of the Syriac script and then made it vertical.  I kind of wonder why Mongolian never adopted Chiense characters.

I look forward to your responses.  I am confident about my understanding of the Japanese adoption method for kanji but I’m not completely sure about Korean (hanja) or Vietnamese (chu nom).  Thank you

Looking for Ideas to Kickstart a YouTube Channel & Instagram on Coding for Non-Developers!

I’m planning to start a YouTube channel and Instagram page that makes software development and coding accessible for non-developers, and I'd love some ideas and topics from you guys! Any example videos that you would like to see.

I had the idea of `Going abroad as software developer` but it was kind of too much of boasting.

Kids banging on our door for candy

This really needs to stop. I’ve been focused on my assignments, completely locked in, but these kids keep banging on my door asking for candy. I don’t have any to give them, nor am I interested in handing any out. It’s not just one knock—they keep knocking repeatedly, and this has been going on for three days straight. If I give them candy, they’ll tell their friends, and I’ll never get any peace. Some aren’t even wearing costumes. If you want something, at least put in some effort. They’re just using this holiday as an excuse to ask for candy from strangers.

I'd love to plan a trip to Mongolia in 2025, what's the best time of year in terms of the steppes being green?

Hello everyone, I've been brainstorming destinations for a much-needed vacation and Mongolia has always been high on my list. I've always loved learning about your country's history, your music is dope, and I find the idea of spending a few days to a week living on a yurt camp to be really fucking awesome. (I believe this is a thing?)

I've always felt the allure of the steppes, I find them to be such a beautiful form of nature distinct to this part of the world. As such I'd like to make sure, which months might be best to enjoy the most natural scenery possible?

Your people are both extremely insecure and extremely inconsiderate of others' insecurities

I arrived in Mongolia a few months ago, I don't quite understand what's holding the social fabric together... Everyone seems to be backstabbing each other, terrible vibe.

where in finland...?

hey, all—i hope your week is going smoothly. happy halloween to everyone here except those miserable old people who were complaining about kids trick or treating. (issa joke, i joke)

recently on tiktok i started getting mongolian videos on my fyp, and the comments are full of people saying things like, "where in finland is this?" or "is this hungary?"

but the entire time, it's pretty blatantly videos of mongolia. obviously i can tell that everyone is joking, but these comments are always in english (so i'm assuming they're left by white europeans) and OP doesn't comment a lot. actually, there aren't a lot of mongolian comments on these videos anyway. i'm just asking what the joke is or where it originated from. i got no clue what this finland//hungary mess is about because i'm from the southern hemisphere. did the mongol empire take them over too? (if this question is obvious and lame, please don't make fun of me, i know next to nothing abt this country 😔🙏🏼🙏🏼💔💔💔)

edit: cut down on a couple words to be more concise

[tl;dr: why do people keep saying "where in finland is this?//where in hungary is this??" under videos of mongolia?]

Another person taking a gap year

I was really felt related to post about gap year that another person made, and inspired to write mine because comments seem to helpful. Most of the feelings were same for me, but I am applying to foreign universities. However I can't grind how much I try. I didn't do what I planned for my Gap year. I still procrastinate even though this is my last chance. I feel like I can't even try trying hard. My concentration is so bad that it is taking me whole day to just finish what people would finish in three hours. I use social media for coping mechanism, and now I am addicted to it. It feels like I have too big dream, and I can't to do what it takes to achieve my goals. I thought I can relax from school and finally free, but I just spent time bed rotting. I am just getting worse and worse by time passes, and if I can't improve myself I feel like ending it. I am starting to give up on myself on improving. How can I stop my addiction? I am do jealous of people who took Gap year and finished their common app. Am I gonna waste my potential? I want to be diligent and spend whole day doing something productive. Also I am in bad terms with my family, and I feel like terrible person. What should I do ?
