Whats the problem here?
So as I'm sure you all know by now, betterhelp is being officially investigated by the FTC for mishandling customer's data and allowing breaches.
With it touting itself as a "mental health/therapy" service this is concerning for obvious reasons.
Which brings me to this question. The controversy is well known and can be found with a quick search, "betterhelp controversy" even comes up in the suggestions.
The creators have to know this, either they're being wilfully ignorant or they're knowingly taking sponsorships from a scummy company.
Is there any way we could get through to them? I love the podcast but I'm genuinely considering leaving it behind if they're more concerned with money than the privacy of people.
With the recent f*ck up with the Nana cast seasons, the requirement will be to download all the purchased seasons at some point. I have a reasonable amount of memory on my phone, but not sure it would be able to sustain all of the first 12 bundle I bought that I still haven't got through all of. I sometimes listen on my iPad, so to listen there, is have to download twice. Computer, a third time
Question is, where do people download to? Is there an option of online storage? Do people download to each device? Do they download to a local memory, and then copy to whichever device they listen to?
Is it just me, or was that last story in the most recent "waiting for..." episode kind of gratuitous? The moment they mentioned a satyr I kinda knew it would go for a sexual assault angle, but even then, this was a bit much. It's like they were trying to top borrasca- and the continued use of the word "symposium" was a bit silly.

I know these posts have been done and the topic discussed to death, but I just want to shout (figuratively) how much I love when I hear a story is going to be narrated by these folks:
Jessica McEvoy - please just read anything. I love love love her voice.
Nichole Goodnight - Perfect. I’m always immediately drawn into her narration.
Atticus Jackson - I wish he did more. I would probably listen to any audio book he narrated.
Kyle Akers - His just feels like THE most average guy voice in the best way. It’s relatable. It’s a voice that can take on endless characters.
Dan Zappulla - just love. All of the above.
Mick Wingert - similar to Dan Z. - these are such “normal” voices, it’s just so easy to listen to.
I think the general theme for me - is I love normal, relatable, everyday voices. So many audiobooks/narration rely on very formal voices that are so textbook like I find myself immediately tuning out - subconsciously. But all of the above always engage me and make me love the story. Does anyone else get what I mean about “normal” voices?
Edit: how could I forget Jeff Clements! 😩♥️

Has anyone had luck reaching out to the NoSleepPodcast team via this email? I reached out nearly 2 weeks ago requesting a status update on when past seasons might be available again, with no response. I couldn't find any updates on the website either. I understand the issue was mentioned at the beginning of a recent episode but I'm not sure which one. I really want to go access content from the 10+ season passes that I purchased, and it's frustrating to not have any updates. Any help is appreciated, thanks all!
Hate to post this again, but I got no responses to my previous post. I will try to make it more descriptive.
I'm trying to find a story where a group of friends drive by a supposedly haunted bridge. They then stop and leave their car. One of them goes missing, and the group had no choice but to leave for the moment. Now they hear someone whisper their name, and they also see a hitchhiker, but they ignore him or her at first. Come morning, they again see the hitchhiker, and it was their lost friend. The lost friend had been endlessly walking the bridge and flagging the car in an endless loop, but they won't stop. So from the POV of the hitchhiker. many days have passed.
Any help please? I think it's around Seasons 3 to 7'ish maybe?
possession. A man's slow descent into depression and addiction opens up a world of once-hidden terrors, the worst of which awaits in a malevolent ghost's plan to devour his weakened soul.
PLEASE HELP this has been on my mind for like a week, but I have the most vague idea of it. okay so, i think it began with a man and his girlfriend(?) making a fire, and then they found this guy (might’ve been a well involved?) stumbling out of the bushes by them. they took him into their house, and i believe there was also family there. and i’m pretty sure everyone collectively went crazy? but i remember someone saying pop goes the weasel? please help, and i’m sorry if any of this was inaccurate, it’s so foggy
I think last year I was on a flight listening to an episode that was particularly good. It was like a woman and her boyfriend were going home from a party I think. I can’t remember if it’s them- I feel like a sister was involved somehow, but I think they get chased by something driving or maybe have a terrible accident. But then I think she snaps awake in bed the next morning and it’s like none of this had happened. Ughhh not being able to remember much even now is killing me because it was a really good episode by the start of it. The problem is I fell asleep and was never able to figure out what episode I was listening to again. I want to say it was newer at the time like 18/19, but I can’t for the life of me find it.

I remember listening to an episode probably 6? years ago where stacks of people were compressed with hydraulic machines into functional pancakes. Anyone know what episode?
plague. Read by Mike Harris. Few considered the strange substance which spread through a small city to be anything more than a nuisance until the truth brought bloody horror to the entire world.
return. Read by Markham Anderson. The inability of two troubled teens to extricate themselves from the influence of a practitioner of witchcraft costs them everything as adults.
tunnel. Read by Logan Masterson. Nine seconds was all it took to scar a subway rider for life when the flickering subterranean lights showed him the unimaginable.
^(next week: possession)
It concerned a photographer and only seemed to imply supernatural elements rather than it being explicit. The ending was melancholy and was of a implied ghost dancing on the roof.
Thank you for any help.
I’m only on season 16, and I honestly don’t remember any other season that had it besides the separate airship/moon-base side story a few seasons ago. The weird storage locker season arcing story was just boring and uninteresting. Just wanted to see some other viewpoints or if there are more to come in upcoming seasons.
We still have some transitional content to look forward to (including, presumably, the newest Suddenly Shocking and Old Time Radio installments), but, as with Seasons 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19, I’m posting this review thread to discuss Season 20 now that the official finale has aired.
Specifically, this thread is to encourage discussion regarding subjects including:
-The new intros and outros
-Overall quality
-The cast’s voice acting
-Favorite stories
-Least favorite stories
-Areas of progress
-Areas of for improvement
-The transition from season passes to a tiered monthly subscription model
Or anything else relevant to Season 20.

I have just run though the first twelve pack and loved the earlier seasons, later ones not so much but that's a topic for another discussion.
For what it is worth the move to a monthly subscription is enough for me to ditch The No Sleep Podcast. It's massive price hike from a pay once ~$25 or so for a full "season" to ~$10 per month. What a massive price rise for what is an entertainment podcast in decline.
What annoys me ever more? Just listened to an intro espousing the merits of a pay-once pass system over the "increasingly prevalent subscription services that don't deliver the quality we want for our customers...." I understand times change but everyone wants their little cut of my wallet, but this is just a kick in the teeth.
I don't expect this is to go anywhere that matters but I feel it should be said.
It’s the Season Finale of Season 20. Come join us around the campfire for tales of traumatic trains.

school. A damaged man recalls his time at Seacrist Elementary, the unlikely site of a hideous paranormal outbreak which still haunts him two decades later.
rehearsal. Read by Brian d'Eon. One of the most famous political assassinations in history may have been cryptically--and gruesomely--foretold.
^(next week: plague, return, and tunnel)
I think the Heaven camera one might have been a 2 parter. The other story I'm looking for was about someone who found a library or something where everyone was anonymous and hooded and it existed outside of time and they were learning to be some of the greatest minds in history. Thanks.
Looking for stories that take place outdoors...found footage... cabin in the woods group of friends type of stuff. Any season please.
For those who want to take action:
- Here is a link to file a complaint through the Onatrio Consumer Protection website.
- And here is a link to the relevant info you will need to do so.
Unfortunately, the address given on their website is just a PO Box at a UPS store and their website is a blank unpopulated page. Quite an interesting way to run an estimated 6-7 figure corporation.
EDIT: complaint
