33' - Goal Hull: Joao Pedro gets a lucky deflection off Cabango.
41' - Goal Swans! Swans recycle a corner and it's a difficult header from Darling from Tymon's cross to the back post.
79' - Goal Hull. Burstow, the young sub, has a decent shot from outside the box. Might see this guy's name again in the future.

As the title says, I’m going to the game against the blades on Tuesday January 21st. It will be my first swans game as I’m American. I would like to sit with a few people I can briefly chat with before hand over text and get to experience a Swansea game from the Jack Army. I sing most of the songs by myself in the wee hours of the morning. I’m a regular guy, 23M, who just loves football and loves this team 🦢. I can also buy you a pint at the game. If anyone is willing to “host me” (literally just sit with you) for this game it would mean the world. Feel free to shoot me a dm or leave a comment if I can sit with you for the game.

It genuinely feels like we haven’t played a truly meaningful game in years (derbies aside).

16' - Goal Luton.
Dumb mistake by Cabango. Unchallenged, his pass back to the keeper is weak. The striker takes it round the keeper and scores the first goal of the game.
60' - Swans change Eom and Bianchini on for Ronald and Vipotnik
63' - Goal Swansea: Grimes.
Corner routine. It's cut back to the edge of the area where an unmarked Grimes fires it with his left foot into the top corner.
80' - Allen replaces Franco
88' - last change, Azeem Abdulai for MPH.

I'm sure our stellar cup form will save us
I feel like we’ve had huge issues this season with players coming of the bench, and almost every time we seem to get worse after substitutions. A big part of that is that our bench is not up to pair, we could really do with another 5-6 championship caliber players for our bench. With that said I also think LW makes some awful subs. Abdulai needs to stop playing on the right and yesterday I thought the obvious move would’ve been to bring on Naughton and move up Key who is way better offensively than Abdulai. This is just one observation, but what do you guys think? Is it LW or a weak bench?

25' - Goal Portsmouth: Ritchie.
Murphy has looked like a problem all game and wins possession after our throw in, in our corner. He plays a really dangerous ball across the six yard box and Tymon has no idea if he should clear or let it run across him. Vigouroux follows the ball to the back post. Ritchie slides in just in front of Tymon and the ball bumbles into the open net.
44' - Goal Portsmouth: Murphy.
Two shots, two goals. Cabango is reaching to clear the ball and Murphy pounces on it on the edge of the area. His first touch pokes it above Cabango and slides it into the far corner.
45+2' - GOAL SWANS: Peart-Harris Ogilvie Own Goal
Cullen adds another assist. A looping ball to the back post is met by Peart-Harris (maybe came off the defender) and it rolls into the net slowly. Update: They've given it as an own goal
50' - HOW DID THAT NOT GO IN?!?!?
Incredible through ball by Cabango to Key, who cuts it back for Peart Harris to hit the cross bar. Then Cullen forces a save. Then Key his the cross bar. Then Vitpotnik forces another save but is offside?
53' - GOAL SWANS: Cullen!.
I think we've found Cullen's position. Swans keep the pressure on Portsmouth and we play the ball wide to Peart Harris who then fires towards the penalty spot. Cullen meets it well to strike to the far corner.
64' - Eom's back after injury and replaces Allen.
72' - Double change for the Swans: Abdulai and Bianchini replace Vipotnik and Ronald
To be honest, we compete but fighting for promotion is impossible. If you look at the statistics, we don't reach much of the mark. We can win some games, compete in all of them, but we already saw against Leeds that sometimes it won't be enough for you.
