In the post announcing Birthing, Gira said it'd be the last of the "big sound" albums. Afterward, swans would fall back to a more reserved sound.
Could this be music akin to Angels of Light (something like We are him)? If not, what else?
Last Week i Decided i would get into Swans. I enjoy alot of experimental music so its a name I heard thrown around alot, but it just seemed so daunting to start listening to. So i Decided to just listen at random and rank my fresh first thoughts.
I think this band has already made it into my top 5 of all time and im very glad i managed to finally "get into" them, and i look forward to any future releases
Are there any lower profile or unranked releases i would likely enjoy based on these ranking? Let me know 🙇♀️
I remember seeing a "Swans Acceptance" video on YT, of him with a mask on in this same kitchen. What I'm guessing is that after stopping his recording and taking off the mask, he accidentally took a pic of himself and didn't realize it. Or he just took this for no reason. But I know I see this image of Gira a lot as a meme since he just looks deadass emotionless in this photo.
I can't even listen to Live Rope. My parents said that it would be delivered too late for a christmas gift. So now i gotta watch everyone else be like YO YOU GOTTA HEAR THE NEW LIVE ROPE while i curl up into a ball in the corner crying, having to listen to the same studio versions for the 12345654382334832492831th time. (btw i'm not getting it lol)
I’m sorry if this is a commonly asked question but I really enjoy the cover & I believe his dislike of it has tarnished its legacy.
kinda in the “Wish you were here” cover style
