This is a subreddit designed for critiquing and criticizing subreddits. You can submit a review of your own, or you can submit a subreddit you want to be reviewed!
We are a community designed to help users and their subreddits.
There are two acceptable types of post
This is fairly straightforward. You can review any subreddit for any reason, there is no criteria (x amount of subs, active, etc.). If you want to review a subreddit you can do it, as long as it abides by the submission guidelines.
Everyone on Reddit wants to spearhead a successful subreddit that they started from nothing. This is extremely difficult to do, and sometimes a little outside help is required. Feel free to submit your subreddit here (see posting guidelines) and you will get honest and constructive feedback. We encourage people who are struggling to incite participation, have stagnated subscriber growth, or any number of other problems to post here, but any sub can be submitted for any reason.
All reviews should be, first and foremost, constructive criticisms. Posts and comments will be removed if they
Are full of flame and hate
Provide no constructive feedback
Are too short to be meaningful.
Don't give positives and negatives
Reviews should be well formatted, but formatting will not cause the removal of a good piece, it is just highly recommended and preferred.
If you are submitted your subreddit for review, the title of the post must be "/r/YourSub Request". Submissions that don't follow this format will be removed.
The body of your submission should include the basics of your sub. This includes, but is not limited to, subscriber count, purpose of the sub, feedback you are looking for. Submissions without additional information in the text box will be removed.
This community first and foremost is a serious forum for discussion and growth. Memes, jokes, trolls, and other low effort or harassing entities will not be welcome. Meta posts about the subreddit are allowed, but discouraged. We recommend you message the mods first and foremost before making a post. If your issue is not resolved with modmail we promise your post will not be removed.

Hello fellow redditors,
I created a sub for ASIC miners and crypto mining in general.
I would be glad if you check it out and join if you wish. The sub is still small, but I plan to take care of it.

Hello everybody, I am u/Kerviearon25 of Reddit and today we're going to review one of the most up-and-coming subreddits: r/Reddit_Island.
But first off, what is r/Reddit_Island**?**
r/Reddit_Island is a movement established on May 1, 2021 because of a meme explaining how Redditors could buy an island if they wanted to.
r/Reddit_Island can also be considered the modern successor to r/redditisland, a similar attempt in 2011 which failed due to inactivity.
Alright, now what are the positive aspects of the subreddit?
First off, it manages to unite Redditors together on one goal: an island/town.
The subreddit shows that Reddit could unite to ultimately reach a goal they want, whether it's crashing the stock market or getting a pedophile enabler admin fired, Reddit can do that.
Emphasis on COULD.
Okay, there's the positives, what about the negatives?
There is negative aspects about Reddit_Island. And that is Reddit itself.
You see, when r/redditisland came into birth, Reddit was different back then. There was a sense of community and that would result in a far more serious project.. if it hadn't been inactive.
Unfortunately, when you come to r/Reddit_Island, you see memes and conflicting ideas, people supporting a town, people supporting an island.
There is no sign of actual planning or suggestions; it's all just memes.
And it's also filled with the usual "Reddit" circlejerk: "tiktok bad. keanu reeves good", etc.
And there's also a problem with organization and centralization; the moderators ("board members") are not really organized and don't really communicate to the public well.
And one of the moderators are as toxic as can be: a former subreddit moderator was described as a toxic no-lifer troll constantly hindering progress and silencing those who think the project will fall.
As of now, they have been resigned/retired/fired from the team and is currently trying to make their own separate movement akin to the goals of Reddit Island... but I don't think I can see any progress other than trying to contact Elon Musk. I will not mention the movement here.
So what's the final conclusion?
r/Reddit_Island has a lot of potential, but it is hindered by the current Reddit community's circlejerks and the lack of organization within the moderators as well.
Will it succeed? No one knows.

so we make weapons and armor for r/hornyresistance currently, but are hoping to expand to more anti bonk patrol subreddits. in order for us to expand, we need to make our subreddit as appealing as possible. also if you don't mind, please consider joining our subreddit so that we can hit our goal of 52 members (that's twice as many as r/BONKcrusaders).
reddit banned me from posting on their ebay subreddit because I said that ebay moderates it!
If Reddiit tolerates that deception I am done with reddit!
So as some of you may know im a musician, a rapper to be exact. ill try to keep this short. i posted in their community 2 different post of my music work. (im new to reddit btw) i attempted to abide by their rules and apparently i messed up somewhere. With out any warning i was permanently banned. I sent the moderators a message trying to ask why i was banned and explained that i basically felt it was blasphemy. ( i was not profane in anyway) without a reply they muted me for 3 days. I think its very ironic and hypocritical that they run a community about game music but aren't in favor of supporting any independent music artist. Even if you felt i had broken your rules. You could have explained to me how they were broken. They may not see the immediate effects of this situation on their community but if you look at the larger scale they are doing nothing but destroying the very community they are trying to run.
First and foremost this is a sub about monkey memes that also tends to dabble in some anprim political memes.
I was able to grow it up to 3,000 members fairly quickly but despite that, barely any of my members consistently post.
I’d really appreciate you guys to honesty review it and possibly give ideas for ways to make it more inviting for new posters, thanks!
Looking for proactive advice, especially on promotion and getting more user activity, since I just took over this subreddit:
/r/TheGreatOnesReborn is an 18+ sub for people to make friends and get to know each other. We talk about and post almost anything, though lately it's mostly just music or weird videos we find on YouTube.
The sub is just basically a place to hang out with buddies when you have nothing better to do. I've been promoting today and could use some of your thoughts to make things better and hopefully do better the next time I promote.
Thanks!
r/hobbydrama seems to be bit of a hidden gem to me! It's a subreddit where people detail the crazy, specific dramas going on in their hobby - ones that the rest of the world are likely blind to. What do you think of the stories on there?
Brand new. New to modding and creating subs. Huge movie need. Tell me what to do better
Looking to make improvements/see what's working. Thanks!
