So I recently printed off some cards for the TCG and also found I had the original box of the LCG and was wondering is there a way to combine both and make the rules make sense to form the ultimate star wars card game
Hi everyone, I’ve been playing some lcgs for a little qhile and came across a used bundle of the star wars lcg which came with the core set, balance of the force, between the shadows and galactic ambitions. Is this a good starting point? How would you recommend learning the game abd start playing?
Thank you for your help!
Is there an uber rule book for the game? One which covers all the terms/up to date mechanics?
Like the final rules updates for LotR LCG?
Are there still any competitive play opportunities for this game? Or even any communities with active player bases? I’m in Oklahoma, and would love to get some games with other people, but I don’t know of anyone else playing even with several LGSs nearby.
Is it right that Smugglers and Spies / Scum and Villainy use 60 card decks instead of 48?
Forgive the question.
I’m pretty new to the game and absolutely adore it. Even the core box is amazing
However, I managed to pick up the Hoth cycle Force Packs
So my question is this: how do I play using the Force Packs?
I'm in West Palm Beach, Florida. My son just recently re bought the game for me (we had it back when it came out, and then lost it along the way). He went back up to school so I got one game I with him and now I got a hankering to play.
I have the Star Wars LCG, balance of the Force and Edge of Darkness expansions, and heroes and legends force pack — I think everything I have is complete, they were purchased when my wife and I were kid free and had time to play it, but our current phase of life isn’t conducive to playing it. I’ve been looking around and am kind of floored with the prices I’m seeing for the game — any idea what I should be pricing such a set at?
I am very very late to this game and have only the core box
I love card games but am still a novice at deck building
Any advice or recommendations as to expansions etc that I should (or shouldn’t) try to pick up?
Is there a Hall of Beorn for this game? A Vision of the Palantir or d20 woodworking?
A place to read cycle reviews or learn about the game as a whole?
Completes the Rogue cycle and starts 2 more. Very excited about it Chain of Command since I like Thrawn. Didn’t have to sell a limb for it either.
LS turn. Dark side wins edge battle. This unit goes first. Since DS is not active player and has not “declared target enemy objective” at the start of conflict phase, can they use their blast icons? Tl;dr without a specific card instructing, can you damage enemy objectives on the oppposing faction’s turn?
I was able to snag a full collection on Ebay for a decently low price.
My goal for this game would be a 2v2 precon cube, where all my friends and I need to do is pick up decks and go. The 1V3 format is sort of interesting, but I think the 2v2 has more mileage for us.
Anyone have quality lists for anything like that?
Is this a good place to look for people moving their collections?
I'm an LCG addict and this is one gem I am missing out on, is it still reasonable to snag?
Also, how is the 2v2 or Free for All? Viable for play?
Sorry for all the questions, just interested.
If anyone has a complete collection that they are willing to ship to the UK. Ideally one in mint or near mint condition that was played sleeved (doesn't have to be sleeved though). No need for the boxes either. If you are considering selling then please can you message me, thanks
If I understand properly, black unit damage icons don't do damage if a unit is defending.
But, do edge enabled unit damage icons on defending units deal damage?
Thank you
Hello,
I'm looking to buy the Between the Shadows and Imperial Entanglements expansions, as well as the Rogue Squadron and Endor cycles. Please PM me if you have any for sale.
Thank you!
Does anyone know where one could find this cycle?
I was worried (and more than a little miffed at FFG/Asmodee) when cardgamedb.com disappeared recently, but fortunately it's back (and hopefully here to stay).
While I'm posting: did anyone else play a Star Wars: Unlimited prerelease this weekend? I played one at my local game store. I had low expectations going in, so I was pleasantly surprised. I really didn't like the art when I previewed it online, and I still don't like it as much as the LCG art, but somehow it wasn't as objectionable to me seeing the cards in person. Games are quick-paced and fun, and it looks like there will be some interesting deckbuilding archetypes to explore.
My only complaint is that it didn't feel especially Star Wars-like. It's a fun system--something like a cross between Magic: The Gathering, Hearthstone, and Star Wars: Destiny--and while it solves the main thematic problem that our LCG has (of Ewoks being able to attack Star Destroyers) by having two separate arenas for ground and space units (like the old Star Wars TCG by Richard Garfield), it introduces thematic problems of its own. For one, you can mix light side and dark side cards in your deck (at a slight penalty in resource cost), and you can see weird match-ups; in my matches, Darth Vader fought against Tarkin in one game, and against the Grand Inquisitor in another. Second, the game lacks the asymmetry which I've come to associate with Star Wars games, and which is one of my favorite parts of the LCG; in Star Wars: Unlimited, the Rebels feel just as strong as the Empire. In any case, it feels different enough from the LCG that there's room for both games.
Hi! A friend of mine is looking into getting this game, but we cannot find the content of any of the packs, specially when it comes to duplicates.
We are big fans of LCGs, and the latter ones packed all the copies that you would need 9n a single deck of each card (except for the core, that usually packed one), but we know that old LCGs weren't always like this, like Invasion, and sometimes the would pack gewer copies of certain cards, making them rare.
Is this the case for Star Wars LCG? Where can we check how many copies of which cards are included on each pack? How many copies of each pack would we need to get a "complete set"(that is, a set that would allow you to build any single deck without missing any card or duplicate)?
I'm just getting into this game, I have a friend or two that want to play it with me. Is there any benefit to playing this game "progression style" like they do in LOTR or should I just mix everything up by faction and start building decks?
Hi, I recently was given a 5 row box of this game and wanted to know how complete it was, where can I find a card list of what came in which set? Like, how many duplicates of each card were found in each box?
Ideally including 2x Core Set and 2x EoD. I'm east coast US and prefer to buy state side if possible. Please message me if you are selling!
Price is a bit high, but just in case anyone was still looking for a set.
So, I'm working on putting together some pre-made decks for some potential games with friends who have never played before and who I don't want to overload with the project of building decks from scratch. I wanted to work mostly with Core objective sets since those seemed the easiest and most reasonable power level to start with, with one non-core set to supplement them. Scum and S&S are obviously exempt from this because they didn't get much in the Core and their EoD sets seem a bit unbalanced (and I only have 1 copy of EoD currently). I'd love for some thoughts on my lists as to whether they seem reasonably balanced to play against each other, or if some adjustments should be made, what those adjustments are. I'd really appreciate any advice or feedback!

Hello, I've found myself with a "gentleman's" collection, everything but the last cycle (2 cores, 2 edge of darkness, 1 of everything else but the last cycle). Could anyone help me value it for the sake of clearing out some shelf space?
Any help is much appreciated!
So, I'd bought the Core Set for this game almost 10 years ago, and it ended up sitting in my closet for most of that time as I found other hobbies that consumed my time and money (i.e., Magic the Gathering). But, having been playing some Armada, I decided to grab the game from my shelf, and it seems quite fun! I've been working on expanding my collection (which is admittedly a bit pricy since the game is out of print), and have ordered all of the deluxe sets minus a second Edge of Darkness and Imperial Entanglements. I also love the Rebels characters (from the series, not the faction), so I picked up the 3 main Force packs for those characters/objective sets, and ended up with a handful of other force packs as well that were either bundled in or that I already had from back when I first got the game (Searching for Skywalker, Battle of Hoth, Join Us or Die, Knowledge and Defense, Lure of the Dark Side). I'd like to hear what other Force Packs people think are "must haves" for a collection so I can try to prioritize picking those up. Also, if anyone has any advice for how to get the most out of the game, I'd also appreciate any additional input!
Title says it all. I need this last set to complete my playset. Offering $100 unsealed, $140 Sealed.
Will also consider buying single Affiliation cards.
