I've been trying to find something that accurately gives the proper length for jedi robe sleeves. Rebel legion talks about how large the opening of the sleeve should be, but nothing about how far down it's supposed to go. I looks like roughly to the end of the hand? Maybe a touch further? Just curious if anyone else has a measurement.
I think simple is always cool, or do you have suggestions for a special look that I should paint?
So I’m making a custom Jedi costume lightly based on cal kestis and I’m making custom armour made out of cardboard and wrapped in tinfoil I’m going to paint it so I’m making a chest plate shoulder plates and leg plates and for the costume itself I’ve bought myself some brown boots dark blue cargo pants a brown long sleeved polo shirt and then I’ve bought two belts one for my waist where I can attach the lightsaber to and the other one that goes round my chest, but I’m gonna put little bullets in them what do you think?
I know this has been asked a million times, and most of the time the recommendations I see for jedi robes are linen or wool (if you can afford it).
I'm trying to finish my full costume in time for Halloween. I have the next three days off so time isn't an issue, but fabric availability is. All of the fabric stores near me don't have enough of the color of fabric I want in linen or broadcloth. The only thing is regular woven cotton.
I'm new to fabric/sewing. Can anyone tell me if the cotton would look/hang right? Should I double it up? Or am I SOL? Thanks!
I made a goal earlier year to join the 501st and the Rebel Legion. Earlier this week I found out my approval went through and I’m officially a member of both!
This costume was such a blast to make and I’m stoked that I get to troop in it now!
I still have to sand down the filler primer and fix some spots with modeling paste. It will take some time but so far I'm really satisfied.
Hello all! I'm making my first jedi outfit for halloween. I've got most of the inner/outer tunic stitched together, as well as the sash and tabard and while I wait on more material for the pants, I wanted to get the leather work started.
The inner tunic, tabard, and sash are black while the outer tunic and pants are a more ivory color.
I've been debating between either dark brown or black for the boots and the belt. I know in RotS Anakin's belt is brown and the rest of his outfit is either a very dark brown or straight black. But I wanted to poll the community and see what they thought. Dark brown? Or Black?
During COVID-19 lockdown I started making helmets out of EVA foam. Now I started a small side business selling the templates. Just wanted to share my recent work with you guys. Its not perfect, I need some practice in painting but compared to my very first helmet its definitely an upgrade
My wife and I at NYCC. Sporting my Old Republic Jedi armor.
With weatherproof raincoat for the outdoors. #starwars
Wore this to work since we can dress up this month!
Just bought this today. Fabric at the store was far less wrinkly (it's cotton gauze). Did the whole wash and dry thing and it came out way wrinklier (if that's even a word lol). Just curious everyone's opinion on whether this would still pass muster for a jedi tunic or if I'm starting over?
Thanks!
This is my first time and I am wondering what brand of spray paint would work best for my black series clone helmet (plastic)
I finally completed my boba Fett cosplay, but I have some issues, I wear glasses underneath and they keep fogging up, I tried using anti fog spray but didn't really get any good results, I was thinking of putting some fans in the helmet, can someone help me figure out what should I use?
CONTEXT : I'm wearing the Sith robe from Disney World to a work costume party this year and I bought some cheapy lightsabers from Amazon bc I don't want to take my $250 custom saber on a plane. I also bought the Sith contacts although it remains to be seen if I can actually wear them (I wear contacts or glasses every day but have somewhat sensitive eyes).
QUESTION : What else can I do or should I do to really sell the look?
I did some light searching and it looks like really pale skin with reddish eyes and / or lips is a good Sith look. Not sure how to pull that off as I have zero experience with makeup.
I was planning on using a shit ton of styling paste to give my hair an "orderly" appearance - my hair is a bit thick, not completely unlike general hux but shorter and not red (more of a light brown).
What else?
Also interested in what to do if the robe just gets way too warm as this will be a party.
So all my parts for my costume came in, but I’m having a specific issue with the leather tabards, when I try to position them so they come in at a V and sit under the belt straight they just bunch up above the belt, and even if I don’t they still have a tendency to just awkwardly fold in like they do in the picture, any advice on this to get these to sit a little more naturally?
I’m 3d printing a phase 2 helmet and am having trouble deciding what color to paint it. Right now the two front runners are the 501st markings and the Umbara paint scheme. Wondering if anyone knows of any other cool paint schemes I should take a look at, or if anyone has an opinion on the two I mentioned. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is my first time ever doing something like this. I’ve only recently gotten into cosplay due to my girl liking cosplay. I’m trying to cosplay as a sith warrior/Sith Lord. My only problem is that I don’t know what exactly to buy. I’m mainly looking for black pants, black mid piece/sash/whatever for the stomach piece, recommended foot wear and a red lightsaber. My upper body area will just be my bare skin with some tattoos on it. I’d gladly appreciate any advice on where to get any of those things! Thank you for taking time to read this!
