Chad’s sound on BSSM
I’ve always loved the way his kit sounds on thy record and it adds so much character to the songs. Everyone was in top shape for that album. My question is what was done to produce such a unique sound? Anyone know?

Up until this point, I always had it in my head that the only possible answer was Anthony, but after looking into some stuff recently, apparently people who know them would say that the real reason for their success is John, so who's the actual heart of the band?

Tour question
Hi!
I’ve just rediscovered RHCP, and I just can’t believe how differently their music hits now that I’m in my 40’s. I really, really appreciate the complexity of it, if you really listen. I think it’s REALLY good.
I’m looking at their upcoming shows for this year, and see they are all outdoor venues. My experience with these shows is that sound quality is…meh. Not a big fan. Add to that rain possibility…double meh.
Do you think it’s safe to assume they’ll continue touring in the short term? I’d absolutely love seeing them in a higher quality setting indoors. Having said that I’m afraid there might not be that many future oportunities :-/

Dreams of a Samurai. I just got a fretless bass, I thought this song was the perfect opportunity to try it out!
I think Dreams of a Samurai is such a great song, Chad’s drums and Josh’s guitar are particularly insane on this one.
