Record shows are a GREAT place for music collectors to find amazing titles. This subreddit will hopefully centralize info on where and when shows are happening around the US (or otherwise). Also, feel free to post some of the jewels you've picked up at shows!!!
Record shows can be a great way to spend a day. Why? Let's see...
1) Dealers...Most are bypassing the Internet, and selling their stuff right to you face to face. Different dealers sell different stock, so you'll never find a variety like you will at a record show.
2) Finding HOLDING & LOOKING AT records you may have heard about, but have never seen. An album described on the Internet (even with pictures) NEVER can be compared to the tactile experience of holding and looking at a record in person.
3) Talking to music fans about music all day. I don't know about you, but I live in Central Maine, and there's a real dearth of good music discussion going on here...It's great to go to the shows, and just talk my obsessions all day...
4) And of course...BUYING RECORDS...For those of us vinyl junkies, there is no better feeling than finding a holy grail (or 4), or finding a record you may have never known existed.
Feel free to post in this subreddit about record shows you know of that are coming up. I'll be posting about New England (and Northeast US) shows a lot, but anyone from any areas of the country (or outside the US...the more the merrier!) can post about shows happening around them. And of course, after the show, feel free to drop by and tell us all about the cool stuff you picked up...

Just over 1 month out and we are confident we will have a show. Four Points Sheraton 5311 S Howell Ave near the airport. 10 AM to 4 PM with $3 admission (only 2 if you mention this post). Cannot wait to see everyone again.

Free admission, free parking, food trucks on site, concession stands with drinks including cold beer, DJs spinning tunes, vinyl care instructional sessions, and great weather forecast! This is the premier music collectors show in Florida! SAT 12-1 Amherst, MA WMUA FALL SEMESTER RECORD SALE
ALWAYS a great show, happening this Saturday (Dec. 1st) in Amherst, MA at the UMass Amherst campus (in the Cape Cod building). Takes place from 11-5...Live DJ's, a TON of great dealers (and some trying to be great like me!!!), and LOTS AND LOTS OF RECORDS!!! WFMU Record Fair HAS BEEN CANCELLED THIS WEEKEND %$#&# Sandy...
Here's the blurb from WFMU themselves:
We are very sorry to say that the record fair is cancelled. The Metropolitan Pavilion has no power and doesnt expect any until Saturday at the earliest. WFMU has no power, The Trans-Hudson PATH, MTA, and Holland Tunnel are all expected to be inactive this weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience to people who planned to attend, we'll update out site ASAP with any future announcements about the next fair.

SUN 11-04 Portsmouth, NH (New England Record Shows)
Next one of the "New England Record Shows" takes place November 4 at the Best Western Hotel on the Traffic Rotary on Route 1 in Portsmouth. If you can't make WFMU, (or even if you can and you're driving north afterwards) stop in and say hi!!! I'll be running a table with a TON of 45's (hit a major collection a month or two ago), and as a bonus, I'll be DJ'ing all day (DJ Headburn lives!!!). Vinyl only DJ'ing so it'll be a fun mix. Hope you can stop by!!!
