Katie scott been talking she lives in Texas now but she was from petal her whole life, any thing I should know? Drugs/crazy stories etc?
About time, right? Thoughts? I, for one, am pleased. During certain times of the day it is often difficult and very dangerous to try and merge on to Hwy 42 from either of these roads. First, there's the hill which people drive way over the speed limit coming over. Second, there's the lane merge on the Sunrise side, which many people ignore the signs that clearly say "Right lane must keep right" and merge left at the last minute, endangering lives and often causing wrecks. These signals should have been installed when the road was finished, in my opinion!
Hear-say, of course, but one of my friends that works with MDOT has been teasing about it on Facebook as of late. Thoughts on another McDonald's in Petal? Supposedly, this one will be a 24/7 McDonald's for a 9 month trial period.
Anyone interested in this development?
Currently there are renovations underway in the old Cuppy's location by Walmart -- and more precisely by Subway -- for a Little Caesar's! It is expected to be open sometime this summer!
Is anyone else frustrated about not only how long it took to "finish" the road project but also that the road is not yet complete? To elaborate: road arrows remain an outline in front of Macedonia and Sunrise exits; the road has no reflectors at all so when it rains the lines on the road become nearly invisible at night; the speed limit is a moderate 45 which, on the lengthy road, is a tad slower than what it used to be years ago (55 mph). I don't mean to complain but it is a tad frustrating that this is the outcome of all of that work.
From prior experiences with the El Niño weather cycle, I believe it's fair to say that (contrary to what weather people report) it could possibly be a bad season? I'm obviously not qualified to say this professionally, but in my honest opinion it may get bad. I mean, the hurricane season leading up to Katrina was pretty inactive and then BAM.
Then again, we haven't had one hurricane yet this season.
Y'all seem lonely over here. Just thought I'd pop in and say hi!
Supposed to be completed in 2012. Sunrise Rd bridge supposed to be finished Nov. We're also supposedly getting a Backyard Burger and Raimey's?
