Anyone have connections on firewood?
hi, does anyone know of a tattoo artist in the burg that can/will do a recreation of someone's handwriting in a tattoo. thanks in advance
Does anyone know someone who cleans homes? Maybe helps with a mild hoarding situation?
Long story short, boyfriend and I have both been severely depressed. Him more so than me, since I moved into his house it’s been a mess. But I want to clean the space up, I just don’t know anyone around here that cleans homes.
Does anyone know if Big Dave’s Warehouse Sale is happening this year? It was around this time last year but I haven’t heard anything.
Where is a good place to get organic locally grown produce?
A friend of mine created this detailed dog training series a couple of years ago and I feel like it doesn't get the love it deserves. She's a fully accredited dog trainer and built this course over several years in order to save new dog owners money. Hiring a private trainer for your pup normally costs $100+ per hour and taking them to puppy preschool is typically $150 for 6 classes that just go over the basics (sit, stay etc.). Not to mention if you want to take your dog to the more advanced classes after puppy preschool it's hundreds more. She made this course so she can spend time with her pups whilst still helping people train their dogs.
Adrienne teaches everything covered there in this one course so you can teach your pup in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace and for a fraction of the price. The best part is, she works with you as you teach your pup, you can reach out to her whenever you run into any issues and she'll help. So you still get the 1 on 1 expert opinion that you'd get from a private trainer, all you have to do is send her an explanation or video of the problem you're trying to address or issues in teaching that you're having.
Delete this post if it's not allowed but I just thought this might help some new dog parents :)
Is there any thrift stores that would have digital cameras? I’ve checked out second chance and goodwill but found nothing. Or maybe any garage sales?
A dear friend of mine is visiting for Thanksgiving and we are going to eat out.
Not on Thanksgiving day but sometime this week.
I know there are plenty of Gluten free options in town, but what are some of the best meals you all know of?
They are not a picky eater and want me to pick. I don’t want to do pizza or burgers, but rather a more traditional restaurant experience.
What about Indian Delight maybe?
Thanks!
Okay this is going to sound super silly but I need some reassurance/encouragement/advice? I've been practicing driving for years and finally started driving by myself around Hattiesburg in July (I'm F19), I've been doing really well no accidents or anything, but I'm still nervous/afraid of new situations.
Okay so now here's my question, I want to go visit my grandma who lives in Kiln, MS. I've never driven outside of Hattiesburg before and I was wondering do you guys think it'd be okay to do so? Do you have any advice? I plan on going very early in the morning when hopefully the roads will be less full (maybe 6 am?). Please let me know, thank you!
I'm from AB, Canada and will be visiting Hattiesburg in the next few days with my sister and a friend. He's suuuuper into military stuff and wants to visit the Armed Forces Museum, but we'll be there for a few days.
My sister's 34th birthday falls on a night we are in Hattiesburg. We live in different cities and rarely get to celebrate birthdays together anymore, and its also my first trip anywhere without my kids, so we're both looking forward to letting loose a bit. I'm hoping to find some recs for a good place to celebrate. Dinner and dancing would be great, but I also don't know what bars are like these days as I'm nearly 40 and where I have lived for the past 15 years there is virtually no nightlife, so I'm open to any suggestions. 🫠 The only major criteria is that we're not going to be the oldest people in the place.
Thanks in advance 😊
Looking for good recommendations in Hattiesburg to get my wisdom teeth removed. How was your experience?
My boyfriend and I are looking for a place to do a massage together but neither of us have ever been to a spa let alone a couples massage, but we both need it cause of our jobs. Best place in Hattie for it?
I posted this on the general Mississippi reddit; I am a freelance writer in Nashville thinking of moving to a small(sh) town in Mississippi mostly to buy a relatively inexpensive house with the money I would get from my Nashville house. This now looks like Hattiesburg. I am coming down for a twirl in a few weeks after I rule out small towns around Oxford (not close enough to the Gulf). I am old (think 72 but I still ride horses and do yoga if that places me at all). I no longer go out much just read, hang with my pups and go for the occasional walk. I find Mississippi fascinating. I did a piece for the New York Times about traveling the trace from Music City to Tupelo and that got me thinking. I liked Tupelo OK but the Elvis thing would drive me crazy. I was raised in Miami so I do know to live in ungodly hot weather. My music taste runs Americana, Jason Isbell, Tom Waits, Patty Griffin but I'll take anything good. It would be nice to be near Nola as I have friends on the West Coast who travel there a lot, and even the crappy beach at Biloxi would be a bit soulful for me given that I have been landlocked for decades. Any suggestions on places to go, parks, old people hangouts. Not sure what I am asking! Help.
This just happened in Oak Grove. Hopefully everyone is ok, but heard several bursts like gas explosions.
Why did Tazikis leave??! I know it’s been about 2 years & I’ve been devastated every since. I ate there religiously 2-3x a week. The salmon platter definitely kept me in TipTop shape. I know I can just go home & cook it. But Tazikis recipe is UNMATCHED & the portions were on point. I literally drive to Mobile at least once a month just to taste it again…. How can we get it back??
Last minute show this weekend!
I thought I had seen it discussed before but now I cannot find it. Does anyone know what’s going in that space? TIA

Does anyone know anywhere around South 28th and Lincoln that will easily exchange bills without having to have a bank account or purchase something? Or even anywhere in the Hattiesburg/Petal area? Help would be much appreciated and thank you in advance! ❤️
Recently ended up with about 5 acres not too far from PIB (airport). Residential.
What’s the most economical way to build a house here locally? I don’t want a mobile home or modular (been there), but I’m fine with a barn home or steel home or traditional or whatever else.
Most of the plans I looked at before COVID were around 1600 sqft. Either a standard rectangle all ground floor or preferably 1200 first floor and 400 loft. I tend to customize designs to have fewer rooms that are large instead of fitting in more rooms that are smaller.
Steel? Barn? Concrete? Traditional? I’m not broke but I’m damn sure not rich. Got about $50k down payment and make just under that a year. DAMN I wish I’d gotten this going before COVID prices.
hi, I like to make a nice charcuterie board from time to time and want to get some better meats and varieties of cheeses than a supermarket like winn-dixie?
by meats i mean like dried/cured or smoked meats like salami, prosciutto, etc.
What restaurants/fast food options in Hattiesburg offer nutritious meals preferably up to $12? As a USM commute I tend to dine more than I should during lunch breaks, so I’m trying to balance nutrition with budget as well as convenience.
Only started showing up recently at my apartment complex. It just sleeps between the building and an electrical box. It has a collar with a bell, but no tag on it that I can see. I can get fairly close, but at a certain point it gets scared and will skitter away. I’ve put food and water out for it and a little shelter for the time being. Poor thing looks rough and is definitely scared.
I posted it on Facebook as well, but no luck as of yet. Animal Control is able to check it out tomorrow to see for a chip.
Exactly what it says in the title, i’m fairly certain it’s a scam, i’m just curious if anyone else has gotten it.
I've been here over 2 years on various dating apps. And all I see are women who love sports, hunting, fishing, and country music.
Where are the gamers? Where are the anime lovers? Where are the geeks and nerds? I'm 35 and have been so alone for so long. I want to find that special person for me. And yet everyone out here is just a cookie cutter southern girl.
